Sherfield Early Years Centre

Both of my kids love going to nursery every day. The staff is brilliant and the overall care is outstanding, I could not ask for more. They offer a wide range of activities and the outdoor space provided by the school is wonderful, you would not find that at any other nursery.

Our child looks forward to going to nursery each morning. During prayer times the teachers are named by name by our three year old. It means he is having a great time. Could not ask for more.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sherfield to anyone. I've found their standard of all-round care outstanding and have been very happy about leaving my child with them each day.

A lot of activities and outdoor games, a very big garden for children to play, and staff are very good with involving children in outdoor activities. They take them out for lovely walks within the Sherfield campus.

I can’t recommend Sherfield Nursery enough, they have been amazing with my two boys. They do so many lovely and varied activities. They spend as much time as possible outside in the amazing garden and grounds the school have.

My son has been at Sherfield Nursery since he was a baby and has thrived in every room there. The staff are all lovely and put huge effort into a wide range of activities for the children. The facilities are extensive with beautiful grounds, playgrounds, library and indoor soft play and dance studio.

Sherfield Nursery and all of the staff have made the transition of nursery life so much easier with their professional, kind and caring nature. I especially love seeing the daily updates on the parent app with a wide range of activities and reading the progress at benchmark assessments against the 17 areas of learning. I feel that my child is safeguarded, cared for and given lots of love throughout the day. They are flexible and adapt to what my child needs, especially when he is teething. I couldn’t recommend the nursery more.

Excellent nursery with great resources and staff who are nurturing and genuinely seem to love their jobs. The experiences that the children have e.g. learning foreign languages, dance, yoga etc are very unique compared to other nurseries in the local area and the impact on the children's development is very clear.

Exceptionally dedicated and caring nursery staff. Each individual's attention and support given to the children is extremely moving. Children are provided a safe and nurturing environment in which they are stimulated, educated and very well looked after.

The daily report is fantastic and there is so much peace of mind when leaving your young 9-month-old baby in the care of the amazing nursery staff. The staff are fantastic at dealing with all situations and cannot be faulted.

My son has been at Sherfield since he was 12 months old and loves everything about it, from the great staff to the amazing grounds and the huge variety of activities. Being linked to the school means they can take advantage of the great facilities on offer.

We have been very happy and our child seems settled and appears to be doing well under the care of the Sherfield team.

My 2-year-old daughter started going to Sherfield nursery just after her 1st birthday. They do have a long waiting list. I booked the space when I was pregnant with my daughter. I am quite happy with her nursery she has settled so well. They do a lot of activities (arts and crafts, music) all day. They do take her out for walks every day which she loves. They provide all food and nappies which is good. They do provide cows milk but if someone is on formula then parents have to give the pre-mix bottles. Overall a good nursery.

We have two children at Sherfield Nursery and would (and do) highly recommend the nursery to our friends. The level of care, support and learning is excellent. Sherfield’s outdoor facilities and space is a key reason we chose the school and love their ethos in getting the children outdoors for play, come (drizzly) rain or shine. Both our daughter and son are excelling in the nursery environment and would ideally like them both to remain at the school post nursery years.

Our daughter has been part of Sherfield Nursery since the age of one. Currently, she is now in pre-reception, she has thrived over the years. Whenever she returns home she tells us that she has had such fun which is all we could ever want.

My daughter has just started at Little Gems Nursery at Sherfield School, however, my son also spent 18 months in the nursery before going into Reception at Sherfield School. I cannot fault the nursery, the setting, facilities, staff & care are second to none, the nursery manager is always available & is very hands on. The children enjoy a wide range of activities and lots of time outside. There are designated areas for sleeping, reading, playing and eating. Daily reports are always available and the staff will call you straight away if they think your child may be unwell. There is a varied and balanced menu, seasonal activities and the children all seem very happy.

I have one son finished this nursery and another son halfway through. This nursery is of outstanding quality. The program they run to and the facilities are the best around for miles. You will not find this quality of space, opportunities or excellent staff around. They are really set up ready for the transition to school. There is nowhere better than Sherfield School Nursery, Little Gems.

We have moved house so needed to change nursery. But we have been so happy with the standard at Sherfield in comparison to the previous nursery, they provide a really well structured development play. The staff are experienced and nice people. Previously our son had not always liked going to nursery, now we find him keen to go and very happy when we pick him up. Highly recommended.

I couldn't recommend Sherfield highly enough, fantastic, consistent, reliable staff who are thorough and attentive at all times. My child joined at eight months old and has thrived in the surroundings. He adores the walks to the duck pond and in the beautiful grounds. He always greets the staff with a smile and cuddles along with the other children. On the few occasions he has been unwell, I have been called asap and their understanding of his normal behaviour and when something is amiss is second to none. I feel like we get a brilliant breakdown of the days events. The fine details are really important especially when they are so young. To ensuring a good, happy bedtime. Overall they are a great support to our son, but also myself as a first time parent.
