Rotherly Day Nursery

My son has just finished a year-plus time in the Rainbow room and has had a fun-packed, enjoyable time, developing his early learning communication skills with the caring, lovely and attentive staff, whether it is in the secure, spacious garden, outdoor space or inside the spacious, vibrant playroom. I can tell my son has thoroughly enjoyed the beginning stage of his early learning due to his happy facial expressions while I watch him in the nursery prior to collecting him to go home and him saying staff member names while at home which is lovely to hear. My wife and I have loved all the regular app photos and comments on activities, whether onsite or during an outing to the local woods, along with bringing his hand-painting or crayon drawing artwork home. My son has now just moved up to the next Rotherly Day Nursery group stage into the Caterpillar room. As parents, we couldn't be happier so a massive thank you to Rotherly Nursery and all the staff there who do an excellent job.

I have had children at Rotherly, The Westgate's Day Nursery nursery since October 2017 and it has always been, and still is, the most brilliant nursery. My son is the latest of our family to go there, and he loves every single day, just like his sister did before him. The staff there are so brilliant with the kids, always doing the most fun activities and excursions, while looking out for each child's individual needs. They really do care deeply for the kids under their care and get to know them so well. Accordingly, safeguarding and nurturing the children's development are particular areas of strength for Rotherly. I would highly recommend it to any and every parent. They have a great new online journal as well which tells me useful info about my son's naps and activities, and what was for lunch etc. Thank you so much Rotherly for nearly six years now of fabulous childcare and support for my whole family!

Rotherly, The Westgate's Day Nursery has provided excellent care for both of my children, enabling them to thrive in a safe and caring environment. As a parent it is such a relief to find somewhere that supports the whole family, enables my children to learn and develop and meets all their physical and emotional needs (from when they were babies, to supporting my daughter in her school transition). Additionally, Rotherly has allowed my children to grow into individuals who have had their own interests cultivated and been given opportunities to explore and engage in the world around them. I am extremely happy with the provision provided, and both my son and daughter benefit greatly from being a part of Rotherly community.

This nursery is really well located in central Winchester. There is a large spacious garden as well as a lovely little courtyard. Unfortunately, the indoor facilities aren’t as generously proportioned. Aside from 8:15-8:45 and 2:45-3:15, there is always plenty of parking meaning you don’t need to cross the road when collecting little children.

This is an excellent nursery and I feel lucky that both of my children have gone here. Both of my children have thrived, socially and developmentally, and I would highly recommend the nursery to others.

I have two children at Rotherly. They run straight in every morning and have a fantastic time. They spend lots of time outdoors. The garden is the perfect set up with plenty of space to run around, a mud kitchen, climbing frames, a sand pit, bikes, trikes and lots of toys. There are different activities every day, based around themes that the children come up with themselves. Staff are very caring and welcoming.

Both my daughters have thrived at this nursery. They were welcomed and formed strong bonds with the knowledgeable and caring staff and made lasting friendships. They have been encouraged in their interests and relationships and supported with their development and challenges. We are very happy to be part of this nursery community.

Rotherly nursery is the best nursery by far in our area. The children are cared for in the most fantastic way and feel very secure and loved there. There is a low turnover of staff and all the staff know all the children’s names including siblings that don’t attend the nursery. It’s very reassuring as a parent to leave your child here when you have to work as you know that they are so well looked after. It’s clean and organised. They do lots of fun activities with the children and help them grow.

I feel extremely lucky to have my daughter attending Rotherly. From the moment she started, she talked about the staff as her 'friends' and having moved her from a nursery where the staff changed weekly, staff retention was important to my husband and I. The team at Rotherly are like family, they know all of us and take a wider interest than simply each day our daughter spends at nursery.

The purpose-built facilities, beautiful large garden and excellent location are a rare commodity in a city where nursery places are in such high demand and it is safe to say my daughter is continuously stimulated and proudly presents her creations when I collect her. Quite simply, she has thrived here. Like all good establishments, there is a waiting list. Rotherly is an early years decision I am very pleased I made.

Both our children attend Rotherly. Our eldest boy will be attending school from September and we could not have asked for a better start than Rotherly. The staff are friendly and professional with a very caring attitude towards the children.

The staff is very responsive to suggestions and concerns we had about little milestones and issues along the way such as meal times, potty training and work very hard to make sure things go as smoothly as possible. Their input is very constructive and helpful and they are accommodating and flexible.

The children have been so happy here, and we cannot thank the staff enough.

The passion and professionalism of the management team, is truly reflected in the nursery and its team of dedicated and caring staff. The children thrive in the beautiful, well equipped nursery, where they can access the spacious outside area. My daughter has had the best start in life and is well prepared for her next adventure at big school.
