Kingsmead, Winchester, a GrandirUK Day Nursery

My daughter started Kingsmead in January 2020, and we both love it. The staff are all amazing, and so helpful. I have seen so many changes to my daughter this year, and most of it is thanks to Kingsmead and all their hard work with her. Thank you so much.

My daughter started Kingsmead back in September 2019. Since then I have been extremely satisfied with the care and support she receives from every member of staff. My daughter is thriving being at Kingsmead. They have helped her overcome her shyness and is now growing in confidence every single day! The meals she receives are excellent and I am often quite jealous of dinners. I couldn't recommend Kingsmead Day nursery enough. Thank you for all you do.

Kingsmead is an excellent nursery/preschool, providing a combination of home from home care as well as very well-run activities and events for children and their parents. Our children have always been very happy to attend Kingsmead.

We have two children at Kingsmead Day Nursery in Winchester, one baby and one pre-schooler. We have been very impressed with the care both children receive during their time at Kingsmead. The staff are very caring and are excellent about communicating with us. Kingsmead provides many different age-appropriate activities for the children; their garden is excellent. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a nursery to care for their child/children to give strong consideration to Kingsmead.

Our son has been at Kingsmead for over two years and has always been really happy there. The staff are all kind and supportive and he loves his days there - in fact, he never wants to leave! The facilities are great and the activities they do are so creative and stimulating. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Both of our children loved their time at Kingsmead in Winchester, prior to progressing to their prep school. We loved the outdoor space and all of the activities that the nursery organised including the amazing Christmas concert. The staff were all fantastic, it was a real family atmosphere which put them at ease and has really set the children on their way. The location was perfect with easy parking in the centre of the city for drop off and collection. We are so grateful for the time and effort that the nursery put into our children during their time there. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for a day nursery.

Our older daughter has just transitioned to 'big school' after four wonderful years at Kingsmead. Kingsmead has provided her with so many unique and wonderful experiences from day one - painting using her feet wrapped in bubble wrap (as a baby); an outing on the bus to buy baking ingredients (She recalls this every time the number one bus goes past); toasting marshmallows and hot dogs on the fire pit; regular musical theatre and forest school sessions, the list goes on. The nursery also puts on a very sweet Christmas nativity and lovely Mothers Day and Fathers Day events. There is really nothing to fault - the facilities are bright & clean with a recently upgraded garden and the staff are so invested in the kids, and many of the kids move together to the 'big school' next door to continue their friendships. We can't recommend Kingsmead highly enough as a first step on your child's learning journey and we are so glad we have another daughter who has just started hers at Kingsmead.

The ladies at Kingsmead are the best! Our little one absolutely loves going there...he looks forward to it every day and when he comes home he loves talking about how much fun he had with all of them. They have great facilities with big open play areas outside and inside; they have lots of toys and books, and they feed these kids well! I can't say enough good things about them! If there was a rating above Excellent, they would earn it!

We could not be more pleased with our experience at Kingsmead Day Nursery. Our son has been there for a year and a half, starting at just 6 months old. They were so kind about letting me come often to settle him in before his actual start date and have taken such wonderful care of him since then. He loves it there. We wish somehow we could pick up Kingsmead and move it with us back to the States!
