My daughter has been going to Busy Bees at Basingstoke hospital since she was seven months old. She thoroughly enjoys going to nursery and looks forward to seeing the different members of staff every day. She has an amazing relationship with her key worker who is absolutely amazing with her. I couldn't
imagine sending her anywhere else.
My daughter is growing up to be a bright, lovely, thoughtful and well mannered little girl and this is partly down to her keyworker and the team.

We have been using this nursery since 2014 and were happy at the beginning. The cleanliness has been worse (over time) but could still improve. There were more interaction with the parents in the form of parent's forum but this also depends on parent's engagement. The constant turnover of staff is very
distressing. The staff are caring but the level of learning activities at pre-school is very poor when I compare it to 3 years ago (other child). I would expect more learning activities, not necessarily with expensive resources but more focus time on reading, phonics, maths, etc and getting ready for school. The rooms are not inviting at all, the building is tired and despite staff efforts, it needs more funding. The atmosphere is ok but needs more support and investment.

We have two daughters attending this nursery and we could not be happier with the care they provide for them. We viewed 6 other nurseries before deciding on this one and what really sealed the deal for us was seeing the staff interact with the children. They all knew the children’s names and the children
seemed immediately drawn to the staff with smiles and obvious affection. There is a real family vibe at this nursery and they go out of their way to make you feel part of it. The staff are so accommodating and helpful and always go out of their way to support you. We have really noticed how well our daughters are developing since starting nursery and above all, they absolutely love going - it is often a chore to try and get them to leave! We love the secure, spacious gardens for each room and we are always impressed by the menus. Both our daughters seem to have double portions of each meal so we’re sure they love the food too! Our daughters love this nursery and their key workers.

Our son loves being at Busy Bees Hospital Nursery in Basingstoke. Staff worked closely with us to help him settle when things weren't going so well and now, he is a confident, happy boy who asks to go back when I pick him up on the half days. In his own, 2 year old words, 'It is SO pretty and they have
SO many nice toys.' The staff are warm, friendly and understand him very well. The menu is fantastic (often wish I was there for lunch/tea) and provides a range of healthy food experiences for young explorers. The management staff also partner with parents and know all the children's names and how they are progressing. We love going to see what sort of day he has had and the fun along the way.

Busy Bees at Basingstoke Hospital from day one gave fantastic care to my daughter. As she joined at 3 months I was extremely nervous to put her in hands of people I did not know. However, on her first settle in session, I could see that she would receive individual care ensuring she was given lots of
attention and stimulation throughout the day. Her personal carer was especially good at making us feel involved by keeping us up to date with every little activity she participated in. A fantastic caring team and a wonderful nursery.

My daughter had a very happy for years at the nursery before going to a local school. She was encouraged to develop and evolve in a safe and nurturing environment. The fabulous secure garden allowed daily outdoor play - a big plus. The staff are attentive and they clearly genuinely love working at and
running the nursery.

I couldn't feel any more comfortable leaving my son in the hands of this nursery. The staff are always smiley and welcoming, the children always look like they're having fun colouring, playing with toys or whatever activity it is they're doing. The range of food they are given is amazing and it's really
helped my son learn to eat independently and eat new foods. I would honestly highly recommend this nursery as it is an extremely well run and all round lovely place.

My great-granddaughter attended your Nursery when she was a babe in arms, she left for school this year. On the few occasions I came to collect my great-granddaughter with her mother she was happy and would show me around her room and introduce to her carers. I had the honour of attending her Nursery
graduation and what a lovely day it was, children were beaming with happiness being all together.

My son has settled into this nursery really well with the help of all staff, he has recently moved to the preschool room and is always happy to come into nursery with us struggling to get him to leave on certain days. He's always so excited to tell us what he's done throughout the day and we're really
happy with the way the staff have helped him settle and encouraged his potty training!

Both my children have been at this nursery since 7 months old and have been very happy.

Staff are approachable and happy to discuss what the children have been doing all day and any issues.

All rooms are designed for the varying ages of the children with many activities on offer.

My daughter

is now in pre school where she is enjoying her time before school and the staff are helping her develop and progress the skills she will need at school.

Busy Bees at Basingstoke Hospital is a lovely Nursery. Staff and management are friendly and supportive. Our grandchildren have enjoyed their time at nursery over the years. I've attended a few events including grandparents tea party, Summer and Christmas Fayre which were very good, everyone was welcoming
and caring towards all.

Our daughter started at Busy Bees when I went back to work. The staff are all excellent and have been a big part in her progress and speedy potty training to date. She enjoys a variety of activities, loves the outdoor play and has a wide range of toys and books to play with indoors. She is very happy,
content and has made lots of little friends. The staff are always happy to talk to parents at the end of the day and we are kept well informed of her progress.

My Grandchild loved going to nursery and wasn't always happy about having to leave to come home at the end of the day. Would told me about the day they had and what they had done with a particular member of staff.
Management were excellent when I collected for the first time, they asked questioned
me to verify who I was and exchanged a password set by parents and checked photo that had been handed again by parents of my grandchild and supported me as I had never been to the nursery prior.
Communication was brilliant, was told about what things my grandchild had been involved in and how well they had eaten.

The staff at Busy Bees are brilliant and we're very helpful when I was suddenly without childcare. My child is so happy at Busy Bees and comes home happy and full of chatter. I like that outdoor play is encouraged and the catering is second to none. I would recommend Busy Bees to anyone, it's a great
place to send your kids!

I would highly recommend Busy Bees at Basingstoke Hospital, as staff and management are always friendly and engaging, and provide a great environment for my son who attends 3 days a week. Management send information through email and text, which keeps me up to date, and well informed of all upcoming
events, and any staffing changes. All in all, I am delighted with the service the Nursery provides.

Naturally, I was worried about leaving my child at nursery when I went back to work. I needn't have been.
Every single member of the Bus yBees staff are fantastic and my daughter adores them. She freely goes to them most mornings with a wave, holding her piece of toast and not giving a thought of
mummy who?
I really have no qualms about being away from her as I know she's in great hands and couldn't recommend his nursery enough!

Current Review Score: 8.2 (8.183)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.2 (8.183) out of 10 for Busy Bees Basingstoke Hospital is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.2 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.958 for Busy Bees Basingstoke Hospital is calculated as follows: ( (23 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 24 Ratings = 4.958
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.225 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Basingstoke Hospital is based on 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 = 3.125
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 100 number of registered child places is 20. 2 Positive Reviews ÷ 20 = 0.1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
