The baby room staff.. couldn’t ask for better. So attentive and always enjoy the little updates at pick up. He has developed a great bond with them all. Everyone has been great at accommodating his allergies too. We couldn’t ask for a better place for him and look forward to many more memories through the years!

Brilliant nursery, our daughter has thrived there and we have noticed how much she has learnt there. There are always different activities, the nursery shows interest in what goes on in the child’s life to bring that into their nursery experience to share with other children. The staff are caring and the management is very well organised.

My son has been attending Busy Bees for nearly 4 years, and the safe and fun environment that they have provided for him has made our experience fantastic. I cannot thank the wonderful staff enough for all that they have done, and he is now so well prepared for his next chapter at school.
The Management are incredible and have such a personal touch on the children making them and you feel very welcome/valued.
Resources have seen better days and a lick of paint would do the world of good.
The staff are great and a lot of love and nurture is felt in the 0-2's unit.
Food is a little hit and miss but overall, a fabulous nursery.

Meet the Team (1)
Hello, my name is Melanie Jerome and I am the manager at Basingstoke, Chineham. I have worked for Busy Bees since May 2010.
I gained my NNEB qualification in 1985 and went straight into a sole charge Nanny position for a family with 2 children. After 5 years of service, I decided to move on and took my first nursery position as a nursery nurse. I was successful in gaining a Deputy Manager position two years later and then given the opportunity to manage my first nursery. Since then I have had over 20 years of experience managing nurseries in London, West Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire.
Over the years I have ensured my training and development have been kept up to date. Most recent courses include Advanced Child Protection, First Aid at Work and Food Hygiene, to name but a few.
I am passionate about my role and thoroughly enjoy every day at work striving to maintain and improve the care, education and service we provide. The staff, families and children bring their own special uniqueness to the nursery and I feel privileged to share in their development, experiences, careers and lives.
