The nursery is organised into three welcoming rooms - Leverets, Bunnies and Hares - each thoughtfully designed to support children at different stages of development through the nursery’s approach of Explore, Investigate and Challenge.
In Leverets, babies and youngest children explore the world through their senses. The focus is on building strong, secure bonds so children feel safe, loved and ready to discover.
In Bunnies, toddlers begin to investigate and try things out for themselves. Staff encourage curiosity, confidence and safe risk-taking as children learn how things work and grow in independence.
In Hares, preschool children are gently challenged to think for themselves, solve problems and develop the confidence and social skills they need for school and beyond.
Bright, engaging indoor spaces are complemented by exciting outdoor areas where children can run, climb, explore and connect with nature. The team believes that learning happens everywhere - especially outdoors.
Experienced and caring practitioners plan activities around children’s interests, helping to nurture a genuine love of learning. The nursery shares children’s special moments and progress through an online learning journal, recognising that strong partnerships with parents make a real difference.
Children enjoy freshly prepared, nutritious meals each day to support healthy growth and wellbeing.
Kings Burrow Nursery is proud to provide a nurturing environment where children feel secure, valued and confident - and where a lifelong love of learning begins.

About this price
How funding is applied, how the monthly figure is calculated.More info
- Working parents of children aged 9 months to 2 years can usually claim up to 30 funded hours a week. The working-parent hours depend on each parent meeting the minimum earnings rules and earning under £100,000 a year. This nursery stretches funded hours across 51 weeks of the year. You've selected 30 funded hours.
- This nursery applies up to 10 funded hours per day, stretched across 51 weeks of the year. With your selected funding, 22.4 hours are covered each week. Hours beyond this, including the early and late parts of the day, are charged at the standard rate.
- We work out the total cost across the year and divide by 12, so the figure shown is a smoothed monthly average. In practice, nurseries bill in different ways. Some bill monthly at this average. Others bill weekly, or charge for what happened that week or month, which can vary across the year. Confirm billing details with the nursery when you enquire.

We have been delighted with the level of care given to our daughter. Staff are always positive, cheerful and work hard. My only concerns are that some meals do not seem very appealing (as commented on by nurse staff! E.g. Bean dip for tea). Children's cubby holes do need cleaning. There has been...
These are all very minor things and the general day to day care at Henry's is brilliant - thank you to all staff!

Thank you for your positive and constructive feedback about Henrys. Our Nursery Cooks work very hard to ensure all the children have a balanced diet including our children with allergies, intolerances and food preferences. We pride ourselves in following the Government Public Health Guidance for Early Years Settings and one of the recommendations is to ensure children have a portion of protein at lunch and tea. Public Health have given the Early Years a range of recipes including the Beanie Dip which is a great source of protein. The management team are aware that some children do not like this dip and we have worked with the Cooks to serve it in a variety of ways but still ensuring the children get the balanced diet they need. This is also the first summer season in which the dip has been given to the children and with all new recipes, we give the recipe on a number of occasions before we can truly assess whether the dish is a success or not.
We have taken on board the comments about the children's individual trays and these have been cleaned out and tidied.
At Henrys over 60% of the staff have been part of the team for a range of 5-14 years service. We are aware there is a small percentage of children on our nursery who unfortunately this year have had a change of key person due to apprentice's completing their training and management moving from the rooms to the office. We are aware of this and have made sure this group of children have been placed with one of the long term members of staff along with the staff member the child has made a bond with.
We value your review and welcome any comments, so thank you for letting us know the positives and the things we can work on at Henrys to provide a better service.
Very pleased with the nursery, they do so many activities with the children in a short space of time. The Nursery also provide a healthy wide range of meals.

Henry's is a very friendly nursery, where staff are very competent and really care about the wellbeing, learning and evolution of children. My 18 months daughter started at 6 months and she has always been very happy with staff's attention and activities and has formed strong bonds both with staff and children. She loves going to nursery and is constantly nurtured and stimulated to learn and enjoy with a wide range of activities.
They also put a lot of emphasis on contact with nature and parents are well informed about children's daily activities through an online app and handover forms. They also make efforts to cater for parents' and children's' needs (e.g. dietary requirements). I would happily recommend this nursery.
Thank you very much for the great review.

One massive plus for us is the amount of time they spend outside from running on the field, looking for bugs in the hedges, sledging down the frosty slope or climbing trees and having picnics in the wonderful nature garden. The room staff are very caring and they have some creative ideas that keep the children entertained and the management staff are so welcoming and professional. We always get a daily handover from key workers that really do know what your child has been up to in the day. We have been involved with 4 nurseries in last 3 years and Henry's top the list in every way.
Thank you very much for this excellent review of Henry's.
The plentiful outdoor space and seeing how comfortable our son was during our visit made choosing Henry's easy. It's been a great choice of nursery, with an excellent staff, and our son is very happy there.

Our daughter has been very happy since joining the nursery when she was 14 months old. She is now 28 months and talks fondly about nursery and looks forward to going.

My son loves coming to nursery. Even though my son has extra needs they have gone above and beyond to cater for him!

The staff are warm and welcoming and come up with loads of fun activities that really encourage the children's curiosity and imaginative play. Our daughter has grown in confidence and developed lots of friendships. Her experience at Henry's means she'll be more than ready for school when the time comes, but we'll be very sad to leave Henry's!

I cannot recommend them highly enough and if you are thinking about going back to work and leaving your child for the first time, I can assure you that the staff at Henry's will make this as easy as possible for you and your little one.
We are so happy that both your children have a great time at Henry's. Thank you very much for the amazing review.
Both of my children attend Henry's and we couldn't be happier with it. There is a very caring atmosphere and the staff seem to really enjoy their jobs and always make time for you even when they are really busy. The facilities are excellent - particularly the nature garden and the rooms are light...
My daughter is very sensitive and likes being at home so I was worried about her starting at nursery but she settled in very quickly and gets very excited about going - something I never thought would happen and is testament to the lovely environment there. I am always impressed by the activities they take part in - even my one year old brings paintings home that he's done!
Thank you for the lovely review. We are glad both of your children enjoy coming to Henrys and have settled in so well.

As a new mom with a 9-month-old, it was a huge relief to find a nursery which such attentive, responsible and caring staff. The management was especially understanding of my requests and accommodated my vegetarian options in their winter menu creation. My son is kept very busy with activities all day and his development has been drastically impacted within a short time period. I really like the eyLog app as I can see photos and am given updates on learning my son achieves on a weekly basis, along with what he eats and drinks.
Areas of improvement would be the limited outdoor space and the nutritional content of the food (although it has improved since my son started). Overall, it is a great nursery and I have complete peace of mind leaving my child in their capable hands.
Thank you so much for the great review and feedback.
Within the grounds of the Nursery each of the three rooms has access to their own outside area along with our playground, nature garden and the use of the school field.
My daughter has loved her time at Henry's as did her big sister before her. The staff are very friendly and the facilities are excellent.

I have 2 children at Henry's who love going there. The outside space is fantastic and they get to go out in all weather. They are well looked after and get to do lots of activities, and the staff are great.
