Kings Burrow Nursery

I have attended the nursery by invitation to interact with my son during nursery activities and get a feel of the structure and care given. I was impressed with what I saw and felt a great leave of comfort knowing that all the children were receiving a good quality of care and comfort. I was happy with the structure of learning/play, as well as the layout and set-up of the nursery itself. I'd also like to add, as a single father that doesn't get to see his son every day, the app provided, which includes daily reports and photos, is an absolute godsend. It helps me feel in the loop with his development and is extensive enough in its explanation of this. I can also see that same quality of care shining through the reports and explanations through the app. Overall, very happy.

I would highly rate Kings Burrow nursery to any potential parents looking for a nursery which has a positive, caring ethos. Although the outdoor space may be smaller than other local nurseries the nursery have been clever in providing different learning spaces in each such as its nature garden. Children are also able to access the school's main sports field at certain times of the day and weather permitting. The staff are brilliant in letting you know what learning activities they are completing with children and regularly update me on what my daughter has focused upon with her group and how I can support her further at home. They also provide supportive resources in their reception such as reading books. The staff are wonderful and treat my daughter with loving care and respect. They know her as an individual and provide her with bespoke learning opportunities having a second language. The management are really helpful and always looking to improve the nursery.

All of the team are friendly and caring towards both our children. Really allowed them to grow and become more confident in various ways. It was always a pleasure to come home and be told about the fun activities they got up to, along with what they had eaten that day and who they played with. Any issues promptly dealt with not that we came across many if at all any. Open to answering any question we have at any point. Very personable and although team members have changed over the past few months, there has not been a noticeable change in standards.

Our son loved his 3 years at Henry's Kindergarten. He made some lifelong friends there, learnt lots, developed and had lots of fun. The key workers are all amazing and really care for all the children. The management always answered queries and do what they can to adjust attendance patterns. I found the nursery really flexible and a great place for my son to attend. The outside space is fantastic and was a real key selling point for us as our son loves being outside, burning off lots of energy and exploring.

Staff turnover is high. The whole place is just run down and tired and that could be said for the remaining staff too. My child was there for about 18 months and I saw a steady decline over this period, so much so we decided to move schools. It's the best thing we ever did. Parents are scared to speak out unless they lose their place as there are few options locally.

We feel really lucky to have found such a lovely nursery for our children and can't recommend it highly enough.

It’s a wonderful group of staff who work so hard to make sure my son is happy and supported. They are really flexible for working parents and make sure my son has a brilliant day every time he attends. I’m really happy I chose Henry’s!

The facilities are great, so much to do and explore. My husband and I feel that the nursery is the perfect setting for young children and if we were ever to choose a nursery again it would be Henry's.

Henry’s has been a perfect start for our son initially starting in Little Bears and now moving to Big Bears. He has thrived in their friendly setting. Staff are welcoming, kind and professional and dealt especially well with the recent challenges this past 18 months. We were recommended Henry’s by a number of other parents and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others.

Due to lockdown, my 11-month-old has not had much time away from me. Henry’s have been great at reassuring me that she is ok as well as settling her in and caring for her. All of the staff are friendly and professional. They keep me updated throughout the day through their app. I could not recommend them more.

My daughter has been at Henry’s for the past 3 years. The staff have been absolutely amazing. They provide age-appropriate activities while also giving children the space and time to explore and learn for themselves. They provide regular updates and photos on what my daughter has been doing which is important to me and lovely to see in the day when I’m at work. The care and support that the staff show to the children is so natural and my daughter has the biggest smile when I drop her off every morning. The meals and snacks provided are healthy and varied and the team have been excellent at adapting the menu to suit my daughter’s needs. I have been so pleased with Henry’s and I will be sad when my daughter leaves in a few weeks time.

A lovely nursery, with extremely friendly and caring staff. The outside spaces are brilliant, and they are out playing in them all the time. Both my daughters go here, and neither of them has once cried on drop off, which is something unheard of and a testament of how much they love their time here. The staff show endless dedication, care and support for my daughters' wellbeing and development and create a lovely, fun and warm environment for the children. There have been some niggles over the pandemic, which is no surprise, but the key workers have done an amazing job keeping everyone happy.

I have a son and daughter at Henry’s and they both absolutely love it. The staff are always welcoming and care so much for the kids. I was so worried about my lockdown baby starting nursery in such difficult times but right from day one she bonded with the staff in mini bears and really loves her time there. There have been a few staffing issues this year but it’s unprecedented times for everyone so I can’t hold that against them. The main thing is that they’ve always had the welfare of the kids as their main priority and my two have not really noticed all the changes happening around them. I would not hesitate to recommend the nursery, we love it!

My son is coming to the end of an amazing four years at Henry's which he has hugely enjoyed and where he has thrived. He has received such love from the staff there who we will really miss. The activities they make up for the children are fantastic, the grounds are amazing, with a nature wood, playground and huge big field. He is now ready for school with the nursery putting in a great effort with his writing, numbers, drawing and maths. His key workers have been fantastic throughout. He has sailed in every day with a smile and always comes home happy. As a parent having a child who genuinely enjoys his time at childcare is what you really wish for and in our case, this has happened for him at Henry's. Thank you to everyone at Henry's - would highly recommend it.

Friendly staff. Good facilities. Helped with learning development for our child. Not sure about food options, but our child can be fussy. Flexible drop-offs were good. Needs to keep good management to maintain good standards.

My daughter absolutely loved coming here, all the staff are friendly and do a great job! Always thought my daughter was in safe hands and never had any worries or concerns. Hopefully, my son can start at Henry’s in the near future!

We are delighted he’s made friends and thrilled to bits that he gave his keyworker a massive hug on his way in this morning. We’ve loved seeing photos and videos on the app too - really reassuring. We moved our child from a nursery we were unhappy with, to go to Henry's instead. Henry's, from the outset, was amazing and we have since sent our second child. Both have excelled in confidence and run into Henry's every morning very happy kids. We wish we had chosen Henry's from the beginning, she staff and facilities are excellent and everyone is known by name - kids and parents!
