Cherryharbour is a purpose built nursery sharing the same site as Mengham Primary school. Cherryharbour offers working parents full or sessional day care 51 weeks a year. Nursery fees include breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea (depending upon sessions attended). Cherryharbour is funding approved and offers parents flexible funding for 2, 3 and 4 year old children (depending upon eligibility) including the 30 funded hours.

I love this place for my children. Both my daughter and son have now attended CherryHarbour and with both of them, they have thrived and learnt all essentials to start school. With my son, in particular, his speech was slightly behind but now his speech is brilliant! Also, the nursery really supported and helped with his potty training which was a godsend. I really appreciate the parent app as well, because I can check on him throughout the day and it really does help ease the mum guilt of not being there, knowing that your child is having fun and learning so much. Couldn't thank the staff enough!
Overall we are very happy with our daughter's nursery and can really see her confidence and personality growing. We are happy with the care she receives and I know that she has a fantastic bond with her key person. We enjoy the app to see her daily updates and photos. I have been worried about the building work going on while the nursery is open and I do hope the small amount of outside space the children have access to is not lost.
My daughter has settled in here so quickly, she is very happy and there is so much for the children to do. Everyone has made us feel so welcome and my daughter loves coming here and playing.
Overall I am happy with the performance of the nursery. Staff are always happy to communicate about my child's day, this is an improvement I have noticed. Other improvements I have seen are the different activities and resources. The staff have been very good with my son's allergies, especially when we were unaware of what the actual allergies were. My feedback would be that there still seems to be some differences between little learners and pre-school in development. I would expect to see more information on my four year olds development within his milestones than I see in my two year old.
I have also found them very flexible and accommodating when I have requested to change hours to drop my son in early on the odd occasion. Perfect to support our working family!

I hold a Level 3 Qualification in Childcare. I joined Cherry Childcare in June 2014 and have experience with all age ranges being a room leader in Babies, Little Learners and the Pre-school rooms. I am the nursery Designated Safeguarding Lead. I am trained in Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, Managing Children’s Behaviour, Mental Health, Level 2 Food Hygiene and many more.
I hold a BA Hons in Early Childhood Studies (Level 6) and have a Level 3 Special Educational Needs.
