Cherry Harbour Nursery has been a wonderful place for our son's growth and development. The staff is incredibly nurturing and attentive, always ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for the children. Our son has made remarkable progress in his social and cognitive skills since attending, and it's
heartwarming to see how much he loves going to nursery each day. The activities are well-planned and engaging, fostering creativity and learning in a fun way. We are truly grateful for the positive impact Cherry Harbour Nursery has had on our son's early years, and we highly recommend it to other parents.

Great consistency of excellent staffing at Cherry Harbour. Fun and new activities for the children every day. Great use of seasonal games; using ice and frozen toys in summer/ hot weather.
Great age-related games for the children who will move into primary school this year.

The staff is pleasant and the updates on the app are very good inclusive of food, photos, and activities on the children's day to day, development plans are accurate and the children enjoy going. You can see the positive impact this has on my child as outside of nursery he is evolving with his speech,
coordination, and listening.

Brilliant nursery and amazing staff.
The children really do matter to them and they really do care about the children and their families.
My little one has speech issues and the staff have all been amazing in helping them along with referrals to outside agencies.
When I've been to them with concerns
they have listened and put in steps and kept me informed.
Nothing is ever too much and always willing to talk or arrange a meeting for any worries or concerns.
Always kept in the loop.
The daily diary is lovely and pictures are always uploaded and information uploaded in a timely manner.
My child always has a big smile on his face when picked up and enjoys going daily.
The activities and tasks they do are all amazing and age-appropriate.
SEN is very good there and they act quickly and accordingly and work with parents in a respectful caring nature.

Our boys are transitioning nicely to the nursery thanks to the great staff. Drop-off and pickup are made as simple as possible but as with all kids, drop-off can be a bit difficult some days. The staff have worked with us and the boys and we are getting better results every day.
Reply from Chantelle Challis, Manager at CherryHarbour NurseryThank you for your feedback, we will endeavour to make sure drop-offs and pick-ups are a smooth transition for both child and parent. We value your feedback on this, thank you!

Our oldest child has been at Cherryharbour for over 3 years and our youngest for almost a year. We honestly cannot fault the staff, they make the nursery. We've had consistent key workers for both children since they've been in their respective rooms and they, along with all of the other staff in the
rooms, kitchen, and office are absolutely wonderful. Both children are full of smiles and stories about their days, regularly bring home artwork and crafts and we feel heard as parents. The staff is always available and responsive if we want to discuss the child's progress, any concerns, toilet training, etc., and implement any methods we are using at home to encourage the children to reach their potential. There is also so much space for the children to play inside and outside and more toys and activities than you could imagine! We are also kept well informed throughout the day with photos and notes on the app which is precious to us when away at work.

The structure is great for our two boys, they always come away with something from the day even if they don’t always want to leave us in the morning. There’s plenty of space and different areas of play to keep them happy. Drop off and pick up is simple and informative. The food is well balanced too.
Safety is very good and on the occasion of an accident it’s treated properly and information is passed on. We have viewed a lot of different sites now and this is the best we have found (with regard to what we think would benefit our children in particular). Saving the most important part for last - the staff are exceptional. They listen to us and cater for the children’s needs and help them learn new skills every day.

A really friendly and caring team. My child absolutely loves going to nursery and has formed a great bond with her key person. They have a wide variety of healthy meals for each day. The rooms are split for the appropriate age groups and there are always enough staff members on hand in each room. I
get loads of updates on the app throughout the day.

My daughter attended Cherry Harbour for eighteen months and had a very positive experience. She looked forward to going to every session and made many friends amongst the other children. The outdoor space is well maintained and presented, offering a variety of equipment. The indoor activities were also
varied, educational and fun, with special events for the seasons and national holidays. The food and snacks were healthy and tasty, and my daughter enjoyed eating with her friends. The management and the staff in the pre-school room were welcoming, friendly and professional at all times. I would recommend Cherry Harbour to any parent without hesitation.

I cannot fault this nursery. The staff are caring, attentive, patient and kind. Nothing is too much trouble. My son is thriving. The app allows an easily accessed insight into my child's day. Healthy and diverse meals are cooked onsite and toys and materials are clean and well-maintained. Excellent!

CherryHarbour Nursery has been a huge part of my daughter's life. She has been attending nursery since she was 2-years-old. She has progressed so much since starting here and continues to come home daily so excited about what she has learnt that day.
The staff all know my daughter so well and I love
talking to them about her and her adventures at nursery.
The topics and events they do are exciting and really keep my daughter occupied.
She especially likes the food at nursery, their caterer puts so much love and care into the meals and is inclusive to all dietary needs.

My child only started to join this great team in September 2021, however, I appreciated the opportunity to have made a great start, being integrated into the children's world, being guided and helped to socialise and feel part of the team, calling her colleagues "friends" and showing such a good attachment
and affection towards teachers and care members.
There's an excellent improvement in my child's abilities to express herself in a second language, which is English, and all these achievements came of the patience and involvement of the key workers; fantastic skills and physical and pedagogical knowledge. Also, whenever an issue has been raised, the way the situation has been offered for wellbeing and safety made me feel confident and very well looked after.

My daughter started here at 9 months and I have been so happy since day one. All the staff made me feel very at ease and my daughter runs in happily, grinning every time we pull up outside. When she first started she was very nervous (being born in 2020) and they were more than happy for her to be attached
to her key worker for as long as she needed. This made me even more comfortable and she soon settled right in. The app is also regularly updated so I can check in whenever I need to, a great piece of mind for a nervous mum.

We selected sending our child to CherryHarbour Nursery having relocated to the area and ours has been an extremely positive experience.
We have found all staff to be extremely professional and our little boy has thrived under their care. He’s experienced a few behavioural issues but we’ve been really
happy with how these have been handled and the advice and information we’ve been given. The nursery has a warm, homely feel but provides structure where needed, we know our little boy enjoys the wholesome food and the regular events and celebrations that take place.
We would absolutely recommend CherryHarbour Nursery to anyone looking for a setting for their child.

Our little boy has been attending CherryHarbour Nursery since he was 10 months old and we have been thrilled with the service and care from CherryHarbour right from the start.
We cannot rate this nursery highly enough. The communication between all staff and us parents has been genuine and we always
feel they have our child's best interest, yet supporting us as working parents too. From the very first visit (having looked at a few other nurseries) we got the best feeling and thought 'this is the one'!
The nursery has a large outdoor garden/play area and an unusually big area of this is undercover. We are a very outdoorsy family and this was a big plus for us. They encourage the kids to be outside rain or shine. It's a fabulous area and really well equipped.
Without a doubt, our child has benefited hugely for being at this nursery. He has lovely friends, great relationships with the teachers, he learns so much and we are confident that he's in a thriving environment.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.913)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.913) out of 10 for CherryHarbour Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 47 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 47 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.913 for CherryHarbour Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (517 Excellents x 5) + (39 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 561 Ratings = 4.913
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for CherryHarbour Nursery is based on 47 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 50 number of registered child places is 10, which has been reached with 47 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
