Daisy Chain Nursery Emsworth

Completely gone down hill since the nursery was sold to bright stars manager has changed three times since they sold their safeguarding policies are not being met and all of the staff are leaving so there is no consistency anymore. No communication between stuff and parents and so many changes made but not in favour of our children fees went up and they were cutting cost for things like food provisions during the day. My eldest daughter had been there for four years and it was such a lovely family film nursery when she started I removed my youngest to a different setting.

Wonderful setting where the kids thrive with friendly staff that are extremely approachable.

I have had children at Daisy Chain for the last 4 years. Since being changed from an independent nursery to a large company-owned nursery it does not have a special wonderful feel. The staff are great and do a good job, my child has a good time (I think). Everything now feels very average, the manager has changed 3 times since its takeover. I hope the nursery finds its feet again soon and gets back the magic it once had.

The last few months have been a transition period for the nursery but wow improvements can already be seen with new management.

Used to be an amazing nursery until Bright Stars bought it out. The warm friendly family feel has been lost along with the unique values and qualities they promised to strive to maintain. Changes from Bright stars have made the nursery feel like each child is a statistic to make money.

My daughter is at Daisy Chain but my 6 year old son also attended before he started school. Previously, Daisy Chain was a wonderful setting with caring, lovely staff. The quality of care was amazing, there was a waiting list to get in. Last year the setting was sold to a large nursery group and most of the staff left with it. I wanted to give it a year to see how things would settle. I'm sad to say that Daisy Chain is a shadow of it's former self. What prompted me to write a review was the constant cost cutting that has been going on over the past couple of months. Fees have gone up and policies like being able to swap a bank holiday or swap a day within the week are now completely gone. They have also worked hard to cut down the food provision during the day, parents did protest this and it is still cut but not as much as they wanted. We have also heard anecdotally that the food quality has gone down too. We are so disappointed that this is how our once loved nursery setting has gone.

All staff are very friendly and caring and the premises are very clean. My son has become very fond of his key person and he is always keen to go to nursery. They do a lot of activities throughout the week and they make an effort to get them out in the garden for outdoor play and fresh air. I particularly like the daily reporting and feedback we get either through the App or at pick up. The staff always take time at pick up to go through how his day has been, how much he ate, slept etc. Thank you to everyone at Daisy Chain for making my son's days enjoyable. I highly recommend this nursery.

My son has been at Daisy Chain Nursery since January 2023 and we can't recommend the place enough. Staff are all amazing that we have interacted with throughout his time there. Full of enthusiasm, kindness and professionalism always. They support my son and I'm sure all children that attend fantastically to meet their developmental and emotional needs continuously. The food and snacks provided are varied and ensure the children eat healthily. They do so many activities and themes each week, it's impressive. Thank you to everyone at Daisy Chain for all they do, keep up the superb effort and work team!

Our son has attended Daisy Chain for over a year and a half now - starting off in the baby room and he will shortly be in the room for the oldest kids. He really enjoys it at Daisy Chain, the staff are excellent and it has a home from home feel to it. We feel very lucky to have found the nursery.

The communication is good, they are flexible and supportive. We especially loved the recent "three little pigs" activity!

My little boy started at Daisy Chain in September in the baby room. All of the staff have been very welcoming and communication is really good. They have build a good relationship with him already and he is really happy there. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly he settled in and amazed already by his progress. They have been really accommodating with dietary needs. It's a lovely sized nursery, not too big so very calm - almost home like. Would 100% recommend. We are so happy with our choice.

I cannot fault this nursery. So impressed with the key staff who are the children's main points of contact, the friendly, responsive management team, the sensible menus (nutritious yet not too fancy) that appeal to a fussy eater, the creative activities, the fantastic large garden, the personal approach to (and knowledge of) each child, the ability to ask advice at any time when struggling (as first-time parents) with reduced eating or potty training for example. The communication is excellent which was really reassuring when I was anxious about first leaving our child at nursery. Handovers between key staff when our child moved up the groups was really detailed. Our child starts school next Sept and Daisy Chain is providing more structured days and teaching her the skills she'll need. Whilst visiting schools to decide where to send her, two schools commented that they tend to get a number of children from Daisy Chain and how well they are set up to begin Reception.

Fantastic nursery and friendly staff. Our daughter has thrived since being there and really grown in confidence. We're amazed at what she learns each time that she goes! It's very popular so it can be difficult to get extra days.

A wonderful nursery, run by caring, professional staff, especially the lady in Hedgehogs, who has been the best key person ever to my little one. I feel so happy leaving her at Daisy Chain Nursery. Lovely outdoor space too.

I am very happy with Daisy Chain Nursery for my 4 year old daughter. She is very happy and always goes in smiling. I have been very impressed with the communication especially compared to another nursery I have used in the local area for an older sibling.

Very happy with how our daughter is doing here. The staff have been extra helpful with her morning routine as we were having problems getting her to nursery without a real battle each morning. They took time to help work with her to understand the morning tasks etc which has helped alot

Fantastic nursery with wonderful staff who place the children at the heart of what they do! Two of my children have been through Daisy Chain and enjoyed every moment - all the cuddles and play! Great communication and support at all times, quick responses and lots of daily communications to know exactly what our little girl is up to.

My daughter has been happy at Daisy Chain since day 1 and I have always found the staff helpful and supportive. They really know my daughter and her little personality and she's so happy being there. The stand out for me was a couple of weeks ago when she refused to get dressed and ended up at nursery in her pyjamas. Not only didn't anyone judge, but they also asked my husband to go home and get everything she needed for her morning routine so that they could practice with her, I honestly thought this was amazing. I've not experienced anything like that at previous nurseries. All of the staff are so nurturing and I know that my daughter is happy and well looked after every day. Thank you Daisy Chain!

Both of our girls have now attended Daisy Chain and it has been a joy to watch them grow and develop there. The staff and kind and caring. I feel happy knowing that my daughter is in such a great place and is well looked after by such knowledgeable staff.

We have had a another child at the nursery and the care has been the same.
