Twizzle Tops Day Nursery delivers day care for children aged between 3 months and 5 years old. They are located on a residential street in Southchurch, Southend-on-Sea, and open from 7am-7pm every weekday.

Inside the nursery there are separate areas dedicated to children of different ages. This allows the team to ensure children are engaging in age appropriate tasks and spending time socialising with other children of a similar age. There is also a great outdoors area which gives children a chance to play outside all year round.

The experienced and qualified team aim to find the balance between structure and freedom for the children. They plan their days to support development and learning, but also ensure children have lots of time to play and explore using their own initiative. This promotes independence, critical thinking and confidence. Their practice is guided by the EYFS curriculum, ensuring children are given the best preparation as they get ready to take their first steps out in the world.

Wonderful staff. Always open for discussion. My child loves everyone here. Honestly can't fault anything at this nursery! Her key worker has such a special bond with my child but all the other staff do too!

This was my child first month at the nursery and so far we have a great experience.
The staff been lovely helping her settling in and incorporating her naps around the daily activities.
The staff also been great updating the app, so I can see how my child is doing through the day.

The staff there have been amazing from the baby room to the toddler room. Every transition is difficult for most babies / toddlers but the staff show amazing patience and clearly know what they are doing and are reassuring
My son (2) loves going in and has made some friends. They take them out pretty
much every day to the garden which is of a good size and keep them well entertained throughout the day with pictures to the parents

It's comforting to be able to leave my son in a happy safe environment where he enjoys playing and eats really well, if he's upset he is comforted and all his needs are met and the big garden is a massive plus. I wouldn't send him anywhere else.

My little one is in the baby room currently and I have no complaints. The staff are all very welcoming and ensure they all have a bond with my child. The nursery itself is very clean and has access to a decent-sized outdoor space - this area is currently under review and will be incredible once their
planned refurb on the garden is complete. My child goes into nursery without tears and is happily playing when I collect. Happily recommend it to future parents looking for a nursery.

My little one has been in Twizzle Tops Southchurch for 8 months and has loved it. He started in the Baby Room and started just before he was 1. The Team have been so supportive of any needs and it is apparent how much more he has developed by being at nursery compared to my friends who haven’t opted
in for Nursery. He has been self-feeding, understands instructions and has developed being independent from really early on. The Baby Room Team are so attentive and always lets me know how his day has been and if there has been anything different. The aspects that really sealed the deal for me and my husband to choose Twizzle Tops was the huge inside space, the outdoor space and the natural light that comes into the nursery - which is surprisingly rare for Nurseries in Southend as well as that you could feel how happy the kids were! He loves going here and now waves at me and says ‘bye’ to me before we have even got down the hallway!

Twizzle Tops is a fabulous nursery. I was nervous when looking around at nurseries, and actually found it quite intimidating but Twizzle Tops made me feel at ease. My son has been going since he turned 9 months old. At first, I was super nervous but over time I have eased into it. There are wonderful
staff members here; from the manager, my son's key worker and all of the other wonderful ladies working there. My son loves going to nursery each time and even holds his arms out to the ladies each morning. My son loves going here and will continue to go to Twizzle Tops for as long as possible. Our 1-year-old little boy joined Twizzle Tops Southchurch last October time in the baby room and we couldn’t be happier with our choice of nursery. All of the staff are so warm and welcoming and you can tell they are really dedicated to all of the children in their care. The meals always sound really
good as well as nutritious and are all cooked on site, they have great variety as well which my little boy loves. They have an app in which everything is logged on from invoices to photos of your child having fun at nursery and there is also a diary showing nappy changes, how much they’ve eaten, milk etc as well which is nice to look through after their day. As a first-time mum settling my little boy at nursery for the first few weeks was really hard but the staff really did help with the transition and we couldn’t have asked for more support! He now is thriving at nursery and genuinely enjoys being there - he even waves me off in the mornings now!

Super happy with our nursery! My son loves going here, sometimes he even wants to go back in when it's time to go home! All employees are lovely, welcoming, and give a full rundown of how his day went. He eats healthy, varied meals, they do loads of different engaging activites and his development has
been incredible ever since he started going. The photos you get during the day are so lovely to see - you can tell he is cared for and well looked after. Highly recommend!

After being a nursery practitioner myself for many years being on the parent's side of things was a whole new level, but Twizzle Tops have made both myself and my son feel super welcome in the baby room. What a fantastic nursery with amazing staff. I was so anxious for my little boy to go into childcare when I returned to work but they went above and beyond to reassure me. We had a few settling sessions where I was shown photos of what he had gotten up to, along with a sit down with the room manager
where I could go through our current routine and any concerns I had. Now he has started full time we get kept up to date with photos of activities he has done along with a run-through of the day once we have picked him up. The meals are healthy and varied and he loves eating there. His key worker and the other staff were great with listening to the routine we have at home and helping him adapt to a day with them. We honestly couldn’t be happier or more grateful. He has settled so well and absolutely loves going.

My daughter has settled and thrived in this nursery faster and quicker than ever imagined. The staff welcomed her and let her settle in at her own pace. The staff are caring and kind, and treat all children individually. The briefing at the end of the day makes you feel very involved in the day your
child has had. Having viewed many other nurseries, I am pleased we picked Twizzle Tops for our daughter. Watching her run in smiling in the morning is the best start to the day.

Really happy with this nursery. Love that our little boy enjoys adventures out and is able to have access to a garden.

Great nursery. My kids love coming here and actually ask to go on the days they don't attend. The staff are friendly and will always try and help where possible. My daughter has been at Twizzle Tops ever since it took over the nursery and I can't say enough positive things. She joined the nursery at 18 months and she has developed and grown up so quickly and learnt so many things thanks to everyone at the nursery. My daughter goes 5 days a week and she has a
lovely group around her and she adores going! I was worried about putting her into nursery but now I wouldn't have it any other way and that's thanks to all the staff at Twizzle Tops, they make such a lovely environment for her to grow up in!
It's like a second family and they genuinely care. I'm so thankful for the nursery and I can never speak highly enough!
