Twizzle Tops Day Nursery Southchurch

While there are some genuinely caring and dedicated staff members at this nursery, their efforts are unfortunately overshadowed by serious concerns regarding SEND provision, communication, and safeguarding. In my experience, the nursery appears unable to adequately support some children with significant additional needs, resulting in repeated incidents where other children and staff have been hurt by SEND children displaying violent behaviours. Parents are not always informed promptly or transparently when these incidents occur, and concerns can sometimes be met with a dismissive attitude. Staff turnover is also extremely high, creating a lack of consistency for children and families. Although some staff work incredibly hard and clearly care about the children, the nursery does not seem to have the resources, leadership, or support systems needed to safely manage its current SEND requirements.

It's a safe, nurturing environment where children can grow in confidence and have fun at the same time. We're so glad we chose this nursery for both of our children.

Since my little one has started they have been nothing but great as a first time mum Kirsty the manager was so helpful in registering my little one, his key worked molly was great with him always up dating us and saying how great he was and progressing well, a new key worked Lucy gives us fantastic reports about him and really listen to anything I say to her- my little one always leaves so happy after a fantastic day as well as a shout out to lisette, Charlotte and baby room group- your have made my little one's journey enjoyable and fun for him -highly recommend!

Now we are looking at schools and he says he wants to stay at nursery forever!

My daughter only started nursery back in Sept but she absolutely loves it!! The staff are brilliant and so friendly. Everyone has made her feel so welcome, she has settled in nicely! There are so many different toys to play with and they do lots of activities every day which helps the children learn as well as have fun! They give the children lots of healthy nutritious food. Access to a large outdoor space too which my daughter loves. They have an app which is brilliant as it gives you updates while your child is at nursery so you know what time they napped, what they ate, etc. The app also tells you what they got up to and contains photos which is really nice for parents. Amazing nursery!!

Molly and Lisette in the baby room are honestly the most amazing key workers for my twins. They have created such a safe atmosphere and a positive bond between them that I can see upon arrival and during pick up sessions. My girls have developed amazingly and I can truly see both their hard works shining through!

Friendly, welcoming environment which many learning opportunities for all! Thank you! My little one loves coming to nursery watch day and always comes out telling me about her days adventures! I highly recommend Twizzle Tops!

The staff also been great updating the app, so I can see how my child is doing through the day.

It's comforting to be able to leave my son in a happy safe environment where he enjoys playing and eats really well, if he's upset he is comforted and all his needs are met and the big garden is a massive plus. I wouldn't send him anywhere else.

My little one is in the baby room currently and I have no complaints. The staff are all very welcoming and ensure they all have a bond with my child. The nursery itself is very clean and has access to a decent-sized outdoor space - this area is currently under review and will be incredible once their planned refurb on the garden is complete. My child goes into nursery without tears and is happily playing when I collect. Happily recommend it to future parents looking for a nursery.

My little one has been in Twizzle Tops Southchurch for 8 months and has loved it. He started in the Baby Room and started just before he was 1. The Team have been so supportive of any needs and it is apparent how much more he has developed by being at nursery compared to my friends who haven’t opted in for Nursery. He has been self-feeding, understands instructions and has developed being independent from really early on. The Baby Room Team are so attentive and always lets me know how his day has been and if there has been anything different. The aspects that really sealed the deal for me and my husband to choose Twizzle Tops was the huge inside space, the outdoor space and the natural light that comes into the nursery - which is surprisingly rare for Nurseries in Southend as well as that you could feel how happy the kids were! He loves going here and now waves at me and says ‘bye’ to me before we have even got down the hallway!

My child absolutely loves the time she spends at Twizzle Tops. Her days are filled with fun, learning and lots of activities and she is very well looked after. The staff are all great, they are always smiling and so patient. Thank you for making my child's time at nursery so great.

Twizzle Tops is a fabulous nursery. I was nervous when looking around at nurseries, and actually found it quite intimidating but Twizzle Tops made me feel at ease. My son has been going since he turned 9 months old. At first, I was super nervous but over time I have eased into it. There are wonderful staff members here; from the manager, my son's key worker and all of the other wonderful ladies working there. My son loves going to nursery each time and even holds his arms out to the ladies each morning. My son loves going here and will continue to go to Twizzle Tops for as long as possible. Keep up the fabulous work ladies.

Our 1-year-old little boy joined Twizzle Tops Southchurch last October time in the baby room and we couldn’t be happier with our choice of nursery. All of the staff are so warm and welcoming and you can tell they are really dedicated to all of the children in their care. The meals always sound really good as well as nutritious and are all cooked on site, they have great variety as well which my little boy loves. They have an app in which everything is logged on from invoices to photos of your child having fun at nursery and there is also a diary showing nappy changes, how much they’ve eaten, milk etc as well which is nice to look through after their day. As a first-time mum settling my little boy at nursery for the first few weeks was really hard but the staff really did help with the transition and we couldn’t have asked for more support! He now is thriving at nursery and genuinely enjoys being there - he even waves me off in the mornings now!

Super happy with our nursery! My son loves going here, sometimes he even wants to go back in when it's time to go home! All employees are lovely, welcoming, and give a full rundown of how his day went. He eats healthy, varied meals, they do loads of different engaging activites and his development has been incredible ever since he started going. The photos you get during the day are so lovely to see - you can tell he is cared for and well looked after. Highly recommend!

After being a nursery practitioner myself for many years being on the parent's side of things was a whole new level, but Twizzle Tops have made both myself and my son feel super welcome in the baby room. They’ve supported me through decisions I’ve made for my little one are super helpful for any questions or queries I’ve had and don’t mind me calling nearly each session to check in on him! I can’t wait to watch my little ones journey with them as he professes through the nursery! Thank you to the Manager, her team and all the other girls in the baby room!

What a fantastic nursery with amazing staff. I was so anxious for my little boy to go into childcare when I returned to work but they went above and beyond to reassure me. We had a few settling sessions where I was shown photos of what he had gotten up to, along with a sit down with the room manager where I could go through our current routine and any concerns I had. Now he has started full time we get kept up to date with photos of activities he has done along with a run-through of the day once we have picked him up. The meals are healthy and varied and he loves eating there. His key worker and the other staff were great with listening to the routine we have at home and helping him adapt to a day with them. We honestly couldn’t be happier or more grateful. He has settled so well and absolutely loves going.

We are very happy with our nursery and our loves it. We feel at home and I always feel my child is in safe and loving hands here. Top staff and management. Well done! Thank you for everything you do. Since my son started nursery here I can see major development in many areas. We were concerned with language as he is growing up trilingual but we can see he is picking up new words in English from nursery and repeating them at home. Very grateful!
