Shenfield Day Nursery is a warm and welcoming setting providing full day care for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Set in a wonderfully converted house, the nursery is conveniently located nearby Shenfield mainline station.

The nursery promotes a home from home environment, aiming to enable each child (and their family) to feel happy and relaxed. The nursery team pride themselves on the strong relationships they build with each individual child and their family.

There are a number of rooms in the setting providing different experiences for children based on their age, development level, and preferences, with ‘Rising 5's’ being specifically dedicated to preparing children for their transition to school.

The nursery also offers great outside space for children to play and learn, including a large outside garden, as well as a mud kitchen and den area where children are free to explore the outside world.

The friendly and enthusiastic team at Shenfield Day Nursery are Level 5, NNEB, BTEC or NVQ Qualified, hold First Aid Qualifications and have undergone an enhanced DBS check.

Visits to the nursery are warmly welcomed.

Shenfield Day Nursery has been providing care for children within the local area for over 20 years. These high standards also extend to its Breakfast & After School Clubs at St. Mary’s in Shenfield and Mountnessing C of E Primary School.

The B&ASC at St. Mary’s C of E Primary School has been running since 2015 and operates from a well-resourced and spacious building within the school grounds. The B&ASC at Mountnessing C of E Primary School is based in a purpose-built, wooden-clad building and led by an inspiring Early Years Practitioner.

The ethos at both clubs is to encourage children to engage with the natural world and enjoy the fantastic outdoor areas.

This is such an amazing nursery. Both my children attend here. They are both developing fantastically. All staff are so helpful and friendly. I honestly couldn’t recommend this place more. Very happy with my children coming here.

We are very pleased with the nursery and care given to my child. She loves it and never does not wants to go. Staff retention is always an issue with any business, but I feel this does not have a negative impact on her development.

The nursery has been amazing with both of our kids. It’s so great to see how well our kids have developed their little personalities with the help of their key workers and surroundings. One of my main concerns with my (then one-year-old) son was how the nursery will settle him for his nap. However,
they worked wonders; if only he goes down so easily for a nap at home! And it seems my 16-month-old daughter comes home from nursery learning new skills (for example feeding herself) and independence every day! The staff are all so caring for the children, and I know I don’t need to worry as they’re being very well entertained and looked after.

The staff at the nursery are kind, friendly and helpful. You really get a strong feeling that there is a special bond between the staff and the children that they look after. The nursery has a special 'family' feeling, a lovely extension from home life. My children have produced some beautiful cards,
and craftwork at the nursery. They enjoy all the varied activities that take place such as dancing, yoga, playing with playdoh, toy construction, playing with small world toys, arts and crafts, reading and development in anticipation of starting school whilst also providing a happy environment for them to form relationships with adults and children.
The staff are always keen to get the children into the outside area, which is safe, and fun and also encourages physical development and mental wellbeing.
My son has additional needs, and all the staff have been absolutely wonderful, encouraging him to develop new skills and socialise with others in his way.

We have two children attending the nursery (ages 1 and 3), and so have got to know the staff in all three age group rooms. We've found the staff to be friendly and very committed to the care they provide.
We are updated with photos and information about the children's activities and development via
the app. Their days seem to be varied, educational and fun.
We're really pleased with the nursery and feel that it is a homely, clean and safe environment for our children.

Our children love going to nursery, and this is a testament to how great the staff are. Within the last few months, we’ve noticed a lot more varied activities taking place to keep the children entertained, and our eldest in the Tiggers room - loves Wednesday football! The nursery has also supported
our son with his dietary requirements. We feel very at ease leaving our children at Shenfield nursery, safe in the knowledge they will be having fun with carers who the children really love to be with.

Very nice staff, clean place, kids learn a lot and progress with their skills very well. My almost two year old can even do sign language!
The only reason why I didn't give 5-stars is that I hoped the baby's room went outside during the winter months more often. The outside space is quite basic and
limited as well.

My career in Early Education began in 2007 when I worked at a local nursery as an apprentice, I very quickly really realised that caring and supporting young children was my calling and over the years my passion for delivering exceptional childcare to young children and their families evolved. I am a very proud mum to 3 beautiful children who have taught me so much about parenting and raising children and how our interactions influence and impact children and how magical these early years are.


Due to personal battle of ill health in 2020 which lead me to study at The College of Naturopathic Medicine in London, I have gained have a wealth of knowledge in naturopathic nutritional therapy which aligns beautifully with my passion for creating curriculum delivery that supports the whole child inside out, from nutritious food, social, emotional & Mental wellbeing, feelings of safety & security, inspiring a love of learning, as well as creating awe and wonder in the world around them by building enriching and engaging environments & experiences for all children.


I am passionate about people, invested in mentoring and cheerleading my teams to reach their professional potential, as well as supporting families in any way I can.
