Shenfield Day Nursery, Breakfast & After School Club (St Mary's & Mountnessing C of E Primary Schools)

I'm so pleased that we chose this nursery for our daughter. The staff are amazing and really go above and beyond to make her time there as fun-packed and educational as possible. They're always encouraging her development and we receive regular updates so we can see how she's progressing.

Every week we're sent a newsletter that keeps us up to date with everything happening at the nursery and there always seems to be so much going on, which is lovely to see. We also get daily updates on her meals, sleep and nappy changes, so we always feel fully informed about her day. As well as that, they share what the children have been up to during the day, which I always look forward to reading.

I would highly recommend this amazing nursery and all the wonderful staff who work there x

Shenfield Day Nursery has been nothing short of outstanding. I feel very comfortable leaving my kid there, and never have to worry about him throughout the day. When issues like illness and allergies have come up, I've always been notified promptly and given options on how to proceed. More than all of that, kiddo is so happy to get there and always playing happily at pickup. He loves the workers in his room and he's learning so much, coming home with new words and skills every week.

My two young daughters (1 and 2) love it here. They have so much fun and are always excited to go to nursery. My girls love the food and playing with their friends.

The communication with parents is excellent. If we ever have any concerns or questions, they are always addressed promptly. We get regular newsletters to update us about everything that is happening in the nursery. There is also a new Famly app which provides with live updates of what my children ate, when they slept and when they went to the loo.

There are also activities for parents to get involved with throughout the year like the Christmas Party, which is great to get to know some of the staff and other parents.

Thoroughly recommend this nursery.

My child has been at Shenfield Day Nursery for the past three years, I honestly couldn't be happier with the experience. From the very first day, the staff have been warm, welcoming, and incredibly supportive. They created a safe, nurturing environment where my child has grown in confidence, made wonderful friendships, and developed so many new skills.

The communication has always been excellent - I've felt completely reassured knowing that my child's wellbeing, learning, and happiness were at the heart of everything they do.The activities are creative, engaging, and tailored to each child's needs, it's been amazing to see how much progress my child has made both socially and educationally.

What stands out most is the genuine care and dedication from the whole team. They treat the children like their own and that makes all the difference. We are truly grateful for the wonderful start in life that Shenfield Day Nursery has given our child, and I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

I couldn't recommend this nursery enough, my little boy loves going there. He always talks about his friends and teachers. He walks in happy and leaves happy, I know he's well cared for from the daily updates and that he enjoys all the fun activities the staff plan for him. I love that it's so clear how much he is loved by everyone there!

Shenfield day nursery is an amazing setting for all children. The staff are all very caring and attentive. My daughter has been at the nursery for 3 years and is leaving at the end of month which is sad but the setting has given her the best start with the amazing learning opportunities for her journey to school. Would highly recommend to any parent.

My child attended for 2 years. The communication from nursery is too with updates and photos available on the app. The children enjoy a wide variety of activities and various classes/sessions with external providers are held.

My child has had excellent key workers and is quite attached to them. They have given my child extra support when he has struggled with transitions and being away from me. There has been a lot of staff changeover in the past 12 months. This seems to be settling down now whilst the new staff bed in.

The garden and preschool room have recently been revamped and my son likes these a lot.

The ladies who work there consistently go above and beyond. From the chef who guarantees goodness-packed meals, to the lovely managers and the wonderful ladies who manage the rooms.

I cannot recommend Shenfield Day Nursery enough. My daughter has loved every day since she started. She has made so many friends, whether it be staff or peers, and she has learnt so much through play and the fun activities that are planned. The staff are wonderful and I have no concerns when she is in their care.

Our daughter loves it when she attends Shenfield Day Nursery and the staff have been very friendly/professional from day one! We can tell that the nursery is run to the highest standards and I would highly recommend it to any parent looking for a day nursery in the Shenfield area.

From our first visit with our newborn, it was clear that this would be the perfect place for him to grow and thrive. Trusting a team and environment with a 4-month-old is no small feat, but the staff at Shenfield Day Nursery made it easy for us. The dedication and support the team has provided to our son (and us!) throughout the past 8 months have been nothing short of amazing. Every milestone has been met with enthusiasm and care. The warmth and friendliness of everyone at the nursery make drop-offs and pick-ups a joy and the regular updates have been invaluable, keeping us connected to our son's daily activities and development. One standout feature for us has been the fantastic variety of homemade meals offered daily. We believe these delicious meals have played a crucial role in our son's weaning journey. We couldn't recommend Shenfield Day Nursery enough.

Both of my children have attended Shenfield Day Nursery and they absolutely love going there. My daughter left last year to go to preschool. My wife would take her to school and then my son to Shenfield Day Nursery, but due to local traffic it could take her 30 minutes to get him there. So we decided to take him to a new nursery closer to my daughter's school, which has great reviews and was recommended to us, but he hated it. He would scream every time my wife drove down a certain road, as he knew it meant he was going to the new nursery. We thought it was just due to it being a new environment, but his attitude changed at home where he became very withdrawn and would get angry quickly so we spoke to Shenfield Day Nursery to ask if he could come back, they were so nice saying they missed him and would love to have him back. He has now been back there for six moths and is our happy little boy again, who sings in the car on the way there and leaves with a big smile on his face. Five stars.

Excellent nursery, we are so happy with how well cared for my son is at the nursery. The staff are warm and loving with the kids and they seem to do a wide range of activities with the kids on a daily basis. Would highly recommend them.

Our daughter has been at Shenfield Day Nursery since she was two (now 3.5 and one of the ‘big kids’), and we couldn’t be happier. The staff are so loving towards them, but at the same time, have a good structure and teach them to be well behaved. She has really grown in confidence and is always coming home with new facts about things she has learned. The focus on learning through play is great, and they always have new activities or themes to focus on. Highly recommend, and we’ll be sending our little boy there too.

A lovely setting where my daughter is so happy and comfortable. Lovely tea is served at the after-school club, which we appreciate over just a snack. The staff are so kind and caring, especially of the littler ones, which gives us such comfort.

She currently attends one breakfast and one after school per week.

Shenfield Day Nursery is amazing. Our little girl is so happy here. The staff are attentive, professional, kind and caring and really knowledgeable about the individual needs of the children they care for. As parents, we are kept fully up to date of how her day has been and I appreciate the daily feedback. The nursery itself is so homely - a lot of care has gone into ensuring that the environment is as inviting and comfortable for the children as possible. I couldn’t be happier that we made the decision to send our daughter here, she’s come on leaps and bounds over the past year!

My sons have settled in to the before and after school club at Shenfield Day Nursery, Breakfast and After School Club really well. The staff have made a huge effort with my youngest son who struggles with anxiety and transitions. They are so warm and welcoming when he arrives and help him to readjust after the holidays. My son is currently at the breakfast and afterschool club that is run by the nursery. He loves it as he knows the staff will look after him and activities are tailored around the different children and age groups. I'm happy in the knowledge my son is as well looked after and as happy as he would be at home.
