Busy Bees Chelmsford

I would like to give a special mention to my daughter's key person who is the senior manager for the babies's room. Her name is Emma and she is incredibly kind and warm. It is this kindness that has helped my daughter settle in and come out smiling after a day in nursery.

My child loves going to Busy Bees. They keep us well informed, the staff seem to genuinely care about the children, and she has learned so much from her time there. She struggled to settle in at first, and busy bees proactively tailored her experience to make sure she felt as comfortable as possible, and she developed a strong bond with the staff and other children.

I have had all 3 children pass through here, my youngest is currently in pre school. Since my first visit I was so impressed by the quality of their rooms, they beautiful furnishings and variety of toys and their set up. The garden is well resourced and the staff are lovely. You get to know the staff, key workers and those in the office very well, that you almost feel like family. The planning that goes into the kids activities and the updates on the app are really great. Really pleased :) really happy.

Really wonderful staff in the First Steps room. A shout out to Millie who always tells us all the different things our child has done in the day and seems to have a genuine enthusiasm at spending time with him. He has loved spending time with Laura and Emma too over the past year.

Busy Bees has been great for my son. All the staff are so kind and caring, and the learning and daily routines are well published and explained. We know he is so well looked after there and he's grown so much through his journey up to preschool

A wonderful nursery with attentive staff who truly care about all the children. Our child has learned so much and loves going to nursery! Particularly great are the key worker relationships and we love that there are strong bonds between kids and staff.

Our boy started here at 9 months, and after almost a year in we couldn't be happier. The team is always open to what he needs and works with us to make sure he's comfortable and cared for. Santi loves going, and we love it too. Super recommend it to any parent looking for a nursery they can trust.

Our daughter loves it. We feel she is well cared for. All staff including management and in particular her key people have been super attentive and lovely. The app is really informative and the menu/food is varied.

I have two children who attend this nursery and both are thriving with the support and care of the team. My youngest has settled quickly into Babies - we love seeing the photos of her exploring new things via the app. My eldest is entering her fourth year and she has grown and developed so much in this time. She has formed wonderful friendships with her peers and relationships with staff.

The food is varied and they both eat well.

The nursery has gone from strength to strength in recent months.

This is now my 3rd child coming through Busy Bees over 8 years, and our children have been so warmly nurtured, supported , entertained, stimulated and cared for throughout. Every staff member brings something different to the mix but they have been supportive and helpful despite various leadership changes over recent years. The experienced members of staff have been there for some time now, which is important. The environment is calm and clean but full of activities and opportunities, with lots of outdoor time. The AC has been a godsend this summer during heatwaves. The staff help adapt to different children's needs, and their SEND support has been amazing, especially thanks to a couple of key staff. Their food is also great, generally plentiful, nutritious, tasty and varied.

Our son has been at busy bees for a year now and he is well looked after and always happy there. He runs out of the house to go to nursery! He especially loves the garden and outside play areas. He also is very well fed and eats everything :)

I am so overjoyed with Busy Bees Chelmsford, their staff always go above and beyond for the little ones. My little girl absolutely loves going to nursery, she's made some really lovely connections with her teachers and seeing her so excited every morning is so heartwarming.

My son is graduating after three lovely years with Busy Bees. What a wonderful event the graduation was I was truly bowled over by the thought and effort the team put in they really went above and beyond for the children and made it such a special event for them.

Most importantly, my son absolutely loves it here. He is very vocal and always tells me about his day, the people he has spent time with, and the fun he's had. Hearing him speak so positively about nursery and seeing how happy he is when he goes in each day gives me complete confidence that he's exactly where he should be. The app is fantastic with updates.

I have no concerns over staffing or experiences you may get with independent nurseries with less oversight in place.

Busy Bees is the best environment for my children to be cared and loved away from home. I am very pleased with the kind and dedicated staff.

Fantastic nursery offering brilliant development opportunities for children. All of the staff are friendly and professional and clearly have a great relationship with the children. The nursery uses an app to keep parents up to date with their children's progress and activities across the day. They also run events such as mothers day afternoon tea and also parents evening to give parents the opportunity to see the nursery and speak to staff.

My daughter has attended since she was 7 months. She is provided with outstanding care. The staff are friendly and supportive of my daughter's development. They give lovely handovers. They have developed her speech and helped with toileting. She is a very happy girl who enjoys coming to nursery. She has learnt lots of new skills and has come on so much in the last few months.

Minor criticisms. They are not punctual in the morning, 7:30 is really 7:35 am and that is frustrating. Equally, it can take 10-minutes-plus at pick-up. Also, as with all nurseries, there are a lot of illnesses and especially at the beginning, he got sent home for what felt like everything. We spent more time at home than at nursery, this has improved as they have got to know my son. Finally, you get great daily updates, but I wish we got more observations (development reports). However, if you want to know anything they are always happy to answer questions!

Overall, I'm very happy with the experience that we've had with Busy Bees. Both of our daughters have received an excellent level of care in their time at the nursery, have developed good relationships with the staff and their peers and, most importantly, enjoy their time there.
