Busy Bee's has been essential to my son's development.
He has become so independent and no longer screams when I'm not around.
His keyworker is amazing and I couldn't praise her enough.
My mind is at rest whilst I am at work, knowing he is playing, singing and exploring new experiences.
The only
sad thing I can say is, we can't bring his key worker to his new room in two months.

It took us a long time to research and find a nursery that I felt suitable for my son. I immediately know when I viewed Busy Bees that it would be my fist choice. It was a welcoming, vibrant environment and all the staff were friendly and polite.
My son settled extremely well considering I hadn't left
him very much at all before starting. This was largely due to his fantastic key worker, who went above and beyond to ensure he adjusted well. He now attends on a daily basis and he is a very happy, contented child. His development has come on in leaps and bounds at nursery and I'm sure I made the right choice in childcare.

We moved my son to this nursery after a recommendation from another parent. We had issues at the other nursery with staff turnover and key worker allocation. It was the best thing we could have done.
My son benefited from being in a baby room that has all ages up until two-year-old. He likes to copy
the older children and help the babies.
He has an amazing bond with his key worker and all the staff in the baby room. He is also popular with the staff in other rooms, this just reassures me that he is happy regardless of which age setting he is in.
The staff at Busy Bees are fantastic, they listen to concerns and support you in decisions you make in regards to your child. They keep you informed. They take the time to get to know you and your child.
Going back to work was incredibly hard and after our first nursery experience, we were very concerned. Busy Bees have made it easier and I know that they truly care for my son and are interested in his development as much as we are.

I have two boys 7 years and 3 years old, I have been using Braintree Busy Bees since Aug 2010 to present day. Since needing to return back to work, after looking into different childcare providers this nursery ticked all my boxes!!! I am reassured that my children have been well cared for in all aspects
of their health and well-being. I especially liked hearing how he's been throughout the day, having the diary helped to remind me. Having the opportunity to attend the parents evenings throughout the year, gives me another insight to his development, progression and how to improve areas of his learning. Now the nursery has implemented a system called I connect, where I can now access all of this information about his care and development in my own home, this helps as now my husband can also access this too.
I would highly recommend this nursery to any parents/carers. At least to look around see if this also ticks your boxes....

All the staff at Busy Bees in Braintree are extremely helpful and polite. My son has speech delay and is a very fussy eater. His key worker and all the other staff are very understanding and all the other staff are very understanding and helpful with this. They spend one to one time with him to help
develop these and his progress has been amazing since he started there.

Current Review Score: 8.8 (8.750)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.8 (8.750) out of 10 for Busy Bees Braintree is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.8 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Busy Bees Braintree is calculated as follows: ( (60 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 60 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.75 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Braintree is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 100 number of registered child places is 20. 5 Positive Reviews ÷ 20 = 0.25
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

My name is Lisa Webb and I am the Nursery Manager.

I have worked at the Nursery since 2001. I started as a Nursery Nurse in the Baby room and since then have had a variety of different roles within the Nursery. Including SENCO, the Training mentor and Childcare Representative. I became the Assistant Manager in April 2010 and really enjoyed this role as it meant that I got to work with all the different age groups within the Nursery. Also gaining greater knowledge of the management side of the Nursery as well. I then went on to become the Nursery manager in April 2016. I have a BETEC National Diploma in Childcare and an NVQ Level 3 in Management.
