I have always had good experience with all the staff members, and everyone has been supportive of my son. He has really learnt a lot in this short while in lighthouse. Thanks to everyone he has been prepared for pre-school.
Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Our warm, friendly team really takes the time to build strong relationships with the children in their care allowing them to identify the right support they need to learn, grow and flourish.
He appears to be really happy at the nursery, and he is developing at an extraordinary rate; I have no doubt that this is aided by the girls that he has daily interaction with!
The nursery puts on weekly events and special days for the children within the nursery, and they also take them on external trips of the nursery to the local park or on the train to the library in town.
I am kept up to date about what my child is getting up to during the day, often regularly accompanied by numerous videos and photographs of him doing what he is doing!
They offer the children three nutritious meals a day, and they cater for the age and ability of the children, moving them onto the nest stage when they are ready.
Overall, I honestly couldn’t be any happier, and the value for money is exceptional! I 100% recommend it!

This nursery is brilliant, my little girl has been going here for about three years now and she absolutely loves it! She’s come on in leaps and bounds since starting at this nursery. They have a strong focus on topics/areas that each individual child is showing interest in and they encourage the children to be independent. My little girl was an extremely fussy eater and with the nurseries help and guidance she is now happy to eat (or at least try) almost any foods.

Absolutely amazing. Amazing lunches for the children, friendly and caring staff, very welcoming when dropping off and picking up! My daughter absolutely loves it there and always tells me what an amazing day she has had. 100% recommendation.

Great nursery! Both of my kids really enjoyed it. Very friendly staff that always take your needs on board and keep you updated about your children's progress. My little one's always attending nursery with pleasure, and that's the most important thing to me as a parent.

Friendly, kind staff who have helped my little girl feel safe and settled at nursery. My daughter has been attending here since she was just over 12 months old and my son attended before that. Staff are always well quick with a cuddle when my little one is upset and both my children enjoyed attending this nursery. I would happily recommend to others.

Ever since my eldest got on so well at the nursery we knew it would be the best place for our youngest! She absolutely loves it, she has started developing friendships, confidence and her learning is really showing at home! My little boy loves being at nursery, once he has gotten over the fact we have dropped him off! All the staff are so in tune with his wants and needs, and the favourite things he likes. He does such wonderful activities throughout the day, I love seeing the photos and videos the team members put on the app. Everyone is so friendly when we drop him off, always polite and accommodating. The food he has there is fantastic, homecooked proper meals. It is never nice having the mum guilt of dropping them off when you have to go to work but seeing his smiley happy face, and how the staff all love him, makes it a lot easier.

They aim to build caring relationships with each child and provide a nurturing environment where children feel confident to develop at their own pace.
Good food options, occasional cold dinners due to kitchen issues. Not able to give children home-prepared meals due to child allergies. Children are permitted extras if still hungry. Just something to be aware of if considering reducing outgoing costs. However, this is one of the cheapest nurseries in the area!
Able to get into nursery in good time. Lots of parking available for parents to use.
Electronic records of child activities are sometimes incomplete i.e. no food entries for the day when the child will of course have eaten.
Been a bit of an issue with progress reports as not had one sent since enrolled six/seven months ago.
My kid loves it here though, I’m really happy with how they look after them and the attention they give.

To be honest I was very close to pulling my child out. However, some major changes have been made since the last week of September and I can see a lot of effort is being made to change things around. I'm hoping things continue to improve.

The team at Colchester Kiddi Caru have been nothing but fabulous from day one. They really welcomed my child as he started halfway through. Forever grateful for the lovely ladies from this branch. I would recommend this nursery to anyone. Thank you.

1. He came back every day with a wet nappy to the point he developed a rash
2. My son struggled to settle so I changed his schedule from 3 full days to 5 half days and they ended up charging me for the 3 full days and the 5 half days. After numerous emails and arguments, they said they will charge for 1 extra full day. All they care about is money.
3. I came 10 mins late once to pick up my son and they charged me £30 extra for coming late. My son could be out of school for weeks but no one will bother to call about how he's doing but they are first to include all sorts of extra charges for no reason.
I have never received a response to my emails from Kiddi Caru. Not sure if they're understaffed or is it that they really just don't care.
Please don't take your child to Kiddi Caru!

Most recently, she was a nanny for triplet girls and the last few years has been a Nursery Manager which uses Jo’s practical experience and knowledge gained from her degree. Jo is passionate about fun and stimulating activities and forming strong bonds with the staff, children and parents in her setting.
