Holmwood House Nursery

My daughter has attended the nursery since the age of 1. I was apprehensive returning to work leaving my daughter with someone else. I have never looked back. From day one, I found all staff extremely supportive, professional and they certainly go above and beyond their call of duty. 

My daughter now attends nursery four days a week. On our only day off, she wakes up asking if she can go to nursery! I believe this speaks volumes. 

I frequently ask the girls for advice on education, behaviour (good and bad), toilet training, the list goes on. All of which we brainstorm together. 

Between the girls and myself, we work closely together to develop my daughter. My daughter has formed close relationships with all her key persons during her time at the nursery.

The staff continue to make Holmwood House Nursery the best it can be and are a wonderful group of people and a credit to the nursery.

My youngest son attends two days a week and absolutely loves it. He is always happy to go and comes home full of excitement with lovely things and to show or tell me about his day. They do all sorts from arts and crafts to Zumba to French lessons and not to mention 1-1 literacy time which will be such a head start for him when he goes to school. The staff here are wonderful, they really took the time to get to know my son and our family (my oldest son attended Holmwood too) and always treat all the children in their care as valued individuals while helping them to understand the importance of boundaries - all of which I know will make the transition to school so much easier! Honestly, I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Our son has been attending Holmwood House Nursery since the age of 1 (he is now approaching 2). He only does one day per week, but he absolutely loves his weekly trip to the nursery! The staff truly are the loveliest ladies and they really go above and beyond to make the days stimulating, fun and varied for the children. As our son only does one day per week it took him a little while to settle into it at first, but since day 1 the staff have always been so welcoming, understanding and lovely, that we have always felt so happy and comfortable with him being there which is so important. We have no doubt that nursery is one of the key factors in building our sons confidence, he has come on leaps and bounds since attending there. They always have a yummy home-cooked lunch which is great, and we love keeping up to date with the 'Tapestry' webpage to see what our son has been up to! Couldn't recommend Holmwood House and its staff highly enough.

We couldn’t ask for a better and safer environment to send our daughter and we are looking forward to her baby sister starting next year.

Our son has been attending Holmwood Nursery since the age of nine months. The staff are very attentive and always so welcoming. It is clear to see our son has an enjoyable day by the smile on his face when we pick him up and the observations/ pictures posted to our private tapestry account. The staff are very knowledgeable about our son likes, wishes and needs and are always happy to discuss any concerns that we may have regarding his development. The location of the nursery is beautiful, surrounded by woodland and open fields. This continues into the nursery by the wonderful outdoor space they have. He loves the delicious home cooked meals, we are told he always finishes his plate and asks for more. We are extremely happy with the care our son receives and feel that the friendly homely environment and helped him to become the cheeky, fun-loving toddler he is now. We would recommend Holmwood House Nursery to any parents looking for a nursery where their children can flourish and grow.
