Partou Silchester Manor Day Nursery & Pre-School has a well-earned reputation as the leading provider of childcare in the Maidenhead / Slough area, offering outstanding care to children aged 3 months to 5 years and are open from 7.30am to 6.00pm Monday - Friday, for 51 weeks of the year (closed during Christmas week).

Located on Bath Road, just outside Maidenhead, the nursery enjoys the benefits of a large character property with high ceilings, large airy rooms, and acres of outdoor garden and play space, which the children explore and thrive in.

There are separate rooms for babies, toddlers, 2-3 year olds, and Pre-School children, furnished with 'age appropriate' toys and resources, ensuring they provide the best standard of care, development and education. They also have a sensory room for children who benefit from quite time activities.

Silchester Manor operates a Key Person policy, ensuring that your child is cared for by a member of staff who gets to know you and your child really well.

Carers place great emphasis on creating a loving, nurturing and warm environment for your child.

Freshly prepared meals are cooked on site offering a special diet menu and catering from allergies.

Excellent, friendly staff. My son has been at this nursery since he was 6 months old, now he is due to start to school. He has loved his time at Silchester Manor Day Nursery. One staff member has been excellent with my son and runs the nursery very well, she is a credit to the nursery as are other members
in pre-school. Excellent staff members.

My daughter started in September 2016 and only goes 2days a week but she loved every minute of it.
She's made some lovely friends and some days I can't get her to leave. The staff have been fabulous and there a couple in particular that she took a shine too and she wanted them to come to big school
with her.
The Christmas party was on a day she didn't attend but they still allowed her to come and join in.
Everyone has been amazing.

Silchester is an amazing nursery.
The venue and grounds are great for children because they are so big.

My son was extremely unsettled when starting! The girls in the 2-3's room really helped him settle. He now loves coming to the nursery and has an amazing bond with the staff.

I would highly recommend this nursery. My son has additional needs and they have gone above and beyond to help him settle and interact with fellow children. They have also helped and were successful in my son having an EHS plan. My son gets on very well with all the key workers in this setting which
is helpful. They build lovely relationships with their keyworker.

Silchester Manor is an excellent nursery. My son was very shy before he joined but now he has good social skill as all the staff are very passionate for their job and they care the children very well.
Silchester has great facilities too. Great garden, playground, indoor room to entertain children.
My son's key person is also great. She approaches individually. He loves teachers. I fully recommend this nursery.

Staff is generally good but lacks co-ordination. When you tell staff about something relating to your child (health related) they do not communicate to other staff members.


Toilets are always dirty/stinky/never clean.

The nursery has been very understanding in helping my son to settle in. Adaptation and communication to help him settle over the course of 3 weeks was excellent, this was not offered to us by any other nursery.
Staff spent a long time discussing how my son has got on and concerns (if any) that they
have and vice versa.
The range of toys could be increased and further development of the sensory room. We are very happy with the service being provided and looking to increase the number of hours my son attends. It has really helped his development.

My daughter joined the nursery when she was 9 months. Her development and language skills have improved a lot. She is always happy to be here. Kudos to the excellent staff who work here. They put in every little effort to keep children happy. Well done team. Keep up the good job - a smiling parent.

Our son recently had a medical emergency due to breathing difficulties caused by a chest infection. Silchester handled the situation excellently they showed such care and warmth to our child and called us numerous times whilst we were at the hospital to check how he was. The staff here are the key strength
to this nursery, they genuinely care for the children. We know our son is in excellent care whilst we are at work.

The staff have always been so supportive, friendly, constant and helpful. Our second child is just finishing his time with them before big school in September and the relationships he has built up with all the staff since the baby room up to pre-school, truly had made his time there unforgettable for
us.
His eczema has made him a handful, but the dedication and continuous help from the team has been amazing, and made us feel completely at ease with their capabilities and facilities.
