Partou Silchester Manor Day Nursery & Pre-School has a well-earned reputation as the leading provider of childcare in the Maidenhead / Slough area, offering outstanding care to children aged 3 months to 5 years and are open from 7.30am to 6.00pm Monday - Friday, for 51 weeks of the year (closed during Christmas week).

Located on Bath Road, just outside Maidenhead, the nursery enjoys the benefits of a large character property with high ceilings, large airy rooms, and acres of outdoor garden and play space, which the children explore and thrive in.

There are separate rooms for babies, toddlers, 2-3 year olds, and Pre-School children, furnished with 'age appropriate' toys and resources, ensuring they provide the best standard of care, development and education. They also have a sensory room for children who benefit from quite time activities.

Silchester Manor operates a Key Person policy, ensuring that your child is cared for by a member of staff who gets to know you and your child really well.

Carers place great emphasis on creating a loving, nurturing and warm environment for your child.

Freshly prepared meals are cooked on site offering a special diet menu and catering from allergies.

What a fantastic nursery; they are doing such a great job. Me and my whole family are teachers, and the nursery is fully supportive of our child's educational journey. We looked at other nurseries, but this is the best by far! Keep up the outstanding work!

My daughter loves coming to the nursery. There are lots of activities my daughter loves doing. There is plenty of space and excellent outdoor/indoor activities. The staff are caring and great with my daughter. The management as everything managed correctly. I also like that we can see all the progress

We absolutely love Silchester, and so does our son. Everyone is so caring and friendly, which is shown through our son's happiness. They always take time to encourage new play to develop skills. We would highly recommend Silcheter to all our friends and family.

My son really enjoys the care he receives at Silchester Manor Day Nursery. All the staff are extremely warm and caring. He eats, drinks and sleeps well and really enjoys the activities both indoors and outdoors.

Made the best decision on the choice of nursery. The staff all are brilliant, and my daughter loved every moment there.
Always was in contact with the staff giving feedback on my daughters day to day activities and what she did on a daily basis.
Staff always replied to emails and telephone calls
promptly. I had no worries at all, and my daughter settled in very well.

Our experience at Silchester has been amazing! The kids love going there; they learn so much, which is evident at home. They get on really well with the staff and have enjoyed an atmosphere where they've made good friends with their peers. The rooms and garden are large and offer lots of different stimulating
activities. The food is healthy. The staff are professional and friendly. We couldn't hope for better people to care for our children!

My daughter has had a brilliant experience at Silchester in the preschool room. She settled in well and has been supported throughout her time there. The practitioners have helped her become independent and confident and have encouraged her to try new things. The practitioners and managers are always
so helpful, very friendly and easy to approach. The setting itself has everything a child would need indoors and outdoors, and there is always something to do. I always felt reassured of my child’s care and safety and also was kept well informed of everything. I highly recommend Silchester Manor Day Nursery.

Words cannot describe how amazing this nursery is. My daughter has been at this nursery since she has been one and will now be leaving pre-school. The care from day one has been exceptional, the staff are so nurturing, wonderful and kind, and most importantly, my daughter has loved every single one
of her teachers and key workers. The nursery itself is so big; the space is wonderful for the kids to play in, and it really has a special feel to it. From baby room to pre-school, the transitions were always easy, and the staff knew when the right time was and made those moves so wonderful for my daughter. The management has been so fantastic, and some particular staff members have always been great with communicating information with us, been accommodating and run the nursery very well. Leaving your child somewhere can be daunting, but the management and staff are so comforting, that within a few weeks, we knew she was in great hands. Our son has joined, and we are so excited about his journey at Silchester!

My son joined recently and settled in nursery quickly. He has thoroughly enjoyed going ever since. I see him developing his social skiing and mingling with other children quite easily. His motoring skills have improved quite a lot, but he was not confident. Overall, mostly has provided overall development
of skills. I would like to make a special mention about the learning plan, tailored to my son's needs and daily updates helped me understand how he is doing on a day to day basis. I highly recommend the nursery to any parent.

Very happy with the service provided at Silchester. Our son is always happy and loves going to "pre-school" to spend time with his friends, learning new things and lots of crafts and games. There is a good app that provides photos and updates every few days, which is well managed by the room leader.

My son became confident and started to gain friendships with peers and the staff. He is always engaged in activities and looks forward to being at nursery. The 2-3's staff have done amazing and supporting him with potty training ready for when he goes to pre-school. I have seen the pre-school room,
also looks like a great place. He currently likes counting, shapes and building. So both 2-3's and pre-school are a good place to see my son thrive when he turns three. I thank all the girls for taking good care of him and helping him grow into this wonderful, smart boy.

Our daughter (aged 2) joined Silchester in December 2020 with no settles due to the lockdown situation. Within the hour, she had settled, and I felt reassured she was receiving the best care. Since then, they have continued to provide a structured, fun and sade environment, and she loves it! Online

This is a good nursery where my child is happy (my oldest child is no longer there), and the staff appear to be engaged and have genuine affection for the children.


I have been impressed with their Covid-19 measures and that they are continuing to work throughout the crisis. They are supportive of

potty training our daughter, and we are happy with the nursery's flexibility, particularly at this time.

I just simply love our nursery. My daughter has some talking delays, and the staff are good for helping me to solve this issue because they are really caring and worry about the kids. They are encouraging her in an upbeat way. Also, I was worried and a bit scared of her settling in period. But with
the help and patience of the nursery staff, it went smoothly and calmly. I believe it is because the children feel happy and safe there. Also, I like the manager as she was trying to help us with advice, and the financial side during the pandemic. All I can say about this nursery is that all people working and caring for the kids here are great. Thank you.
