Children work through the nursery from The Ladybird Room (0-2yrs) to The Caterpillar Room (2-3yrs) and finally to The Butterfly Room (3-5yrs).
Each room has its own access to the extensive garden, which includes a nature play area, mini allotment, outdoor reading lodge and a private Ladybird Room garden.
Millwood House prides itself on continuing strong parent partnerships throughout your child's time at the nursery. They love nothing more than inviting parents in for special events to see the nursery truly come to life.

What a really wonderful nursery and fantastic staff. I was apprehensive about going back to work and my daughter settling as she is extremely clingy and family also have trouble keeping her from becoming increasingly upset if I leave her. She settled really quickly and has developed some lovely bonds with the staff in her room. She loves it and happily waves me off in the mornings. Staff are really caring and affectionate with her and it's reassuring to see how much they care and go the extra mile when she's out of sorts but not poorly enough to stay at home, which has been a lot as you can imagine when kids start nursery at first! Couldn't wish for a better nursery.
Millwood House Day Nursery has an amazing bunch of staff members who welcome children with open arms and who go the extra mile to help us parents raise well rounded and loved individuals. Our son truly thinks of Millwood House as his second home. I could not recommend this nursery more.

My daughter has attended Millwood House Day Nursery for 3 and a half years and not only has she really enjoyed her time there, but she has also developed so much in her communication, confidence and caring. The staff have been fantastic - setting a mix of nurturing, learning and discipline in the right balance. My daughter is very well prepared for school - although will miss everyone at Millwood House very much!

A fantastic homely nursery with a whole team of friendly staff who care so much for the children they look after. The team in the baby unit worked hard to help my daughter settle in as quickly as possible which really put my mind at rest. The garden is a lovely space for the children to play in which is a bonus as our daughter loves being outside as much as possible. I can't recommend Millwood House highly enough. This is such a fantastic nursery. My son has been attending since he was ten months and he has grown up so much. The staff are so warm, friendly and he has such a great relationship with all who work in his room. As a first-time mum returning to work, I was very apprehensive about leaving my son with anyone except family, but from day one, I have never thought twice about leaving him. My son gets so excited when we pull into the car park and runs into the nursery without looking back! He does something new every day, and I love that they play outside in the fresh air daily. Couldn't recommend Millwood House Day Nursery enough.

Sharon joined the Millwood House family in 2015 as a Level 2 Nursery Nurse and completed her Level 3 in 2018. She became the Room Leader in 2017. Sharon became Nursery Manager in July 2023. Sharon’s creativity never ceases to amaze us; from devising activities inside the Nursery to the beautiful Christmas, Easter and Jubilee fence displays outside.

Tina joined Millwood House Nursery in 2007 as Nursery Chef after many years working within another Nursery Group. Since starting she became more and more involved with the Children and subsequently studied for her Level 3, which she achieved in 2017.
Tina became Deputy Nursery Manager in August 2023 and took over the Ladybird Lead in 2025.
