Millwood House Day Nursery is a spacious, homely nursery with a large secure garden, providing a happy environment within which children can develop and pick up new skills as individuals. All activities are based on learning through play, and staff can turn any activity into a learning experience for your child and sometimes themselves too!

Children work through the nursery from The Ladybird Room (0-2yrs) to The Caterpillar Room (2-3yrs) and finally to The Butterfly Room (3-5yrs).

Each room has its own access to the extensive garden, which includes a nature play area, mini allotment, outdoor reading lodge and a private Ladybird Room garden.

Millwood House prides itself on continuing strong parent partnerships throughout your child's time at the nursery. They love nothing more than inviting parents in for special events to see the nursery truly come to life.

This is such a fantastic nursery. My son has been attending since he was ten months and he has grown up so much. The staff are so warm, friendly and he has such a great relationship with all who work in his room. As a first-time mum returning to work, I was very apprehensive about leaving my son with
anyone except family, but from day one, I have never thought twice about leaving him. My son gets so excited when we pull into the car park and runs into the nursery without looking back! He does something new every day, and I love that they play outside in the fresh air daily. Couldn't recommend Millwood House Day Nursery enough.

Sharon Avery

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2015

Sharon joined the Millwood House family in 2015 as a Level 2 Nursery Nurse and completed her Level 3 in 2018. She became the Room Leader in 2017. Sharon became Nursery Manager in July 2023. Sharon’s creativity never ceases to amaze us; from devising activities inside the Nursery to the beautiful Christmas, Easter and Jubilee fence displays outside.

Tina Evans

Job Title: Deputy Nursery Manager/Ladybird (Baby) Room Leader Joined: 2007

Tina joined Millwood House Nursery in 2007 as Nursery Chef after many years working within another Nursery Group. Since starting she became more and more involved with the Children and subsequently studied for her Level 3, which she achieved in 2017.


Tina became Deputy Nursery Manager in August 2023 and took over the Ladybird Lead in 2025.
