A newly refurbished nursery, The Old Station Nursery High Wycombe, has been carefully designed to support children's development in a natural and engaging learning space. The modern and engaging rooms provide an inclusive space where children are free to play, learn and explore.

With space for up to 30 children per day, the smaller size makes the nursery unique, allowing them to offer a welcoming space where the team are able to get to know each child in their care. The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

Recognising the importance of outdoor play, The Old Station Nursery High Wycombe ensures children have plenty of chance to explore the world around them and a brand new garden space is soon to be added to the nursery.

The Old Station Nursery High Wycombe is ideally located on the grounds of Manor Farm School so that when the time comes, the transition to ‘big school’ is as smooth and seamless as possible. They work closely with parents to ensure that the children are exceptionally prepared for their next stage of learning.

Our daughter has settled so well. The staff have been so supportive and welcomed her into the new nursery setting. The care she gets when here is very home from home and maternal. It's a lovely place, the staff are very caring and assertive. The fresh food ensures she's fed well and I love the variety.
Happy daughter, happy mummy.

My stepdaughter enjoys going to The Old Station Nursery in High Wycombe, the staff are amazing and she is coming home in a lot better moods from the previous nursery she attended, she is learning a lot more and her speech is developing so fast, I think this was a really good change for her and she is
enjoying this nursery, thank you too all the staff going above and beyond.

Our youngest has been at nursery since September and we are so pleased with the way she has started to adapt to nursery. She was very upset when dropping off in the morning for a while but with the help, care and patience of the staff, she has changed to now wriggling free from us to get a cuddle with
her key worker.
Reply from Angela Bailey, Head of Customer Experience at The Old Station Nursery High WycombeThank you for leaving us a review. It is lovely to read how your daughter has settled into nursery life. We know the transition can be challenging but the team does its utmost to reassure both child and parent.

Our 7-month-old daughter started with the nursery in September and the team's dedication to providing a nurturing environment has made a hugely positive impact, and we are thrilled to see how well she has settled in.
The nursery has a really inviting atmosphere and has a fantastic garden area which
definitely supports her daily experience. The staff's genuine affection and attentiveness have created a sense of security and comfort for her, and we value the time and care they provide.
We also appreciate the regular communication from the management, as it demonstrates their commitment to the well-being of the children and the smooth operation of the nursery. The parent app updates with photos are a great way to stay connected and informed about her daily activities, providing us with peace of mind as a parent.
Looking forward to continuing to build a relationship with the nursery over the coming years and would definitely recommend it to others.

I arrived to collect my niece, and the security and the checks carried out were second to none, with ID being checked and also a password which was arranged with the parent. I haven't attended nursery for some time but the changes in the garden and environments inside, seem to have made a huge impact
on the children's learning and development. I would highly recommend this nursery.

Incredibly friendly and supportive staff, child absolutely loves her time there and can't get enough. Really seen a positive development in our child since starting, a massive increase in confidence and independence, especially with other children.
Overall really satisfied with this nursery and everyone
involved. We love getting updates through the app as well, seeing her progress each time she goes. Child is incredibly happy when she goes and feels welcome and confident enough to be left there all day.

My daughter recently started around a month ago. She found it hard to adjust at first as it’s a daunting experience for any child to leave their parent but the staff were so attentive in making both me and my child feel reassured and comfortable within the nursery and before we knew it my child was
settled in and is having fun every day asking to go and play when she wakes up!
The app they use is great for updates throughout the day where I get informed about meals/nappies.
The nursery staff are always open to any requests/questions you may have too which helps me to feel at ease when leaving my child for the day.
Thank you all for being so welcoming.

Really great first few months at The Old Station Nursery High Wycombe, staff are really friendly and proactive with my daughter: playing, supporting and comforting her. Food is of a good standard and it's always clean and tidy in the nursery. They always do new activities and offer original learning
experiences for the children, including arts, crafts and food-related activities. I really am really happy with the nursery and how they have helped my daughter settle in.

My son is in the under 2's room and overall the experience with the nursery is inconsistent. Depending on which members of staff are working, handovers at the end of the day range from non-existent to detailed, as does the information added to the app. This leads me to assume that the care, attention
and engagement he receives in attendance follows the same pattern. I'm often told he eats well yet comes home thirsty and starving. All in all, we use this nursery for its convenient location, but would not recommend it.

Our child loves going to The Old Station Nursery. The staff are fantastic and look after the children brilliantly. The manager has really improved the nursery over the last 12 months. The children participate in fun activities including trips to the park. The garden has been refurbished recently meaning
the children have a great outdoor space. The small size of the nursery means the staff knows all of the children well and they really care for them.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.801)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.801) out of 10 for The Old Station Nursery High Wycombe is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 37 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 36 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.801 for The Old Station Nursery High Wycombe is calculated as follows: ( (377 Excellents x 5) + (51 Goods x 4) + (9 Satisfactorys x 3) + (5 Poors x 2) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 443 Ratings = 4.801
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for The Old Station Nursery High Wycombe is based on 36 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 30 number of registered child places is 6, which has been reached with 36 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
