The Beaconsfield Day Nursery & Pre-School (Previously Kiddies Academy Day Nursery), aims to provide the foundations needed to give children the confidence to reach their full potential.

They firmly believe that in order to do this, their role as an early years’ provider is to facilitate and encourage independence through the philosophy of ‘opportunities without limits’, and continually being responsive to the inquisitive and instinctive needs of the children.

The nursery provides a range of age-appropriate activities which are carefully planned by qualified practitioners, introducing new experiences by encouraging the children to learn and discover through play. Part of this is building children’s social and cultural capital so that they develop a love of learning and confidence in their place in the world.

My little boy (a few months shy of 2) loves nursery and is constantly parroting the names of his friends and key workers. There is a big focus on getting the children to play outside which we love and my son’s speech and confidence have grown and grown. There is a little park right outside the nursery
where we have a short play after pick up and this is a great way to connect with all the other parents. Overall, we are really pleased with our nursery choice.

I am very pleased with The Kiddies Academy nursery. The staff are friendly and caring, helping my toddler to develop all the necessary skills. By the way, my toddler goes happily to the nursery every day, I can say that this is a happy place, where kids feel safe and enjoy being.

Moving my daughter here was by far the best move we could have made. Since starting at The Kiddies Academy she has flourished in every area. The team are amazing and so attentive to her needs. She has made some incredible bonds with both staff and children and I couldn't be more thankful. She has only
been here since January and will soon sadly be leaving to go up to primary school, but the difference in her really is astounding. The whole team have really gone above and beyond for her I cannot thank them enough. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone who wants a loving nurturing place to provide the best of care for their children.

Lovely staff. Kids are always entertained and developed through varied activities. My boy loves it and walks in with a smile every day. Have only known the nursery through covid times and they have managed it very well.

I couldn't be happier with Kiddies Academy. My 4-year-old has been attending the Nursery for a year and he absolutely enjoys it and I have seen positive changes in his behaviour. The manager and staff team in Preschool have really helped my little one to manage and understand his feelings. The staff
members have gone above and beyond to help my little one with his behaviour. They have been very supportive. The Preschool room is very spacious and they have an amazing garden which my little one loves playing in. I am constantly amazed at the different activities they do with the children daily. My little one's key worker always updates me on how he has been doing and what things we can put in place at home as well as Nursery to help my little one further.


I highly recommend Kiddies Academy!

Our son started at Kiddies Academy in the toddler room in 2019 and left in Aug 2021 to start school. The care he received from all the team during his time there has been exceptional. It is a very special nursery and such a nurturing and caring learning environment. Our son absolutely loved it there
and thrived. When only children of key workers were allowed to attend nursery during the first lockdown, they were phenomenal. They ran a live Zoom session weekly where we did science experiments so the children could all see their friends and they asked us to send in weekly photos to include in a photo montage to keep them connected. Our son has severe food allergies; he was kept completely safe from his allergens during his time at Kiddies Academy and was able to participate fully in all of the activities, including cooking. They have the most rigorous protocols in place and the cook cooked delicious dairy and soya free meals daily. The manager and deputy are superb and we simply can’t recommend Kiddies Academy enough.

My daughter has been attending Kiddies Academy for the last 10 months. We were a little unsure, having spent the majority of the first 12 months in lockdown, how she would settle at nursery. We are pleased to say she has thrived at Kiddies Academy. I am always amazed at the different creative ways they
find to keep the children entertained, exploring and trying new things every week. The food is such a diverse menu. One of the reasons we selected the nursery was due to its outside space and I love the fact that our daughter enjoys the outdoors so much when not at nursery. The staff are kind, patient and always welcoming and appreciate the pictures and comments they add to the parent app. Definitely recommend to friends.

Our two girls absolutely love coming to Kiddies - and that is a reflection of the quality of the experience that the nursery provides. We have experience of all three ‘rooms’ (baby, toddler and pre-school) and we’ve always been really impressed with the way the staff care for, nurture and encourage

I was full of worries before my little girl’s first day at nursery. I was nervous about how she would be without me, especially because of the pandemic but the staff at Kiddies Academy were amazing. They made me feel comfortable and reassured me of all my concerns. I left the nursery feeling confident
she was in good hands. I’ve worked in some beautiful schools but I’ve always said that it’s the staff that makes the school and that’s definitely the case for Kiddies Academy!

I highly recommend Kiddies Academy. The staff were really patient settling my son in and he’s thrived in his time there. The food menu has changed recently and I’m really happy about the variety. They have different activities every day and I get a good handover from staff. One of the best things is
how flexible the nursery is in the sessions they offer and if you need an emergency session, they are very helpful.

I can’t recommend this nursery highly enough. My child is currently being assessed for specific learning difficulties, and the staff have been excellent in providing the extra support he needs. Not only have they been a great support for my child, but have supported and guided me through a very complex

Kiddies Academy have been brilliant for both of my girls. We've had about 6 years of care between 2 girls and it's always been first class. There are plenty of educational and play activities and the staff are always looking to create a sensory, educational environment. The facilities are great and
the nursery have made the outdoor space a cool place for the children to play. My daughter who is still there is always buzzing at the end of a day!

My daughter joined in July 2020 and absolutely adores going to Kiddies Academy. The staff are very friendly and attentive, the building is a good size and spilt into different age groups, they have a lovely outdoor area, and the senior management is approachable and transparent.
We were able to settle
our daughter prior to her starting, and the staff made sure she got to know them, and they spent time understanding her likes/dislikes and personality. Staff and management regularly update us on our daughter's progress and work collaboratively with us to ensure she is maximising her potential. I would highly recommend Kiddies Academy, we are very pleased our daughter attends here and has thrived in terms of her confidence and development. I would highly recommend.

My grandson attends Kiddies Academy. When he started just before the age of one we were naturally apprehensive, as he would essentially be within this environment for the majority of his time, 8-6, Monday to Friday. This apprehension was met with the most wonderful team. Staff provides our grandson
with a home from home feel. We are delighted with the love, and compassion that excels from the nursery. My son and daughter-in-law wanted a nursery that would love their little boy, and we really do feel that. Now that he is in Pre-School, I cannot believe the way he has grown, in part, due to the creative education that he experiences whilst he is at Kiddies. He tells us all about how to be kind. As well as the academic side of things, the nursery focuses on the fundamental parts of being a person. My favourite story from him was when he told us about a 'special nurse' who was a 'superhero' - later finding out he'd learnt about Florence Nightingale - how splendid.

My son has been attending Kiddies Academy for the last year after having been at a childminder for 2 years prior to that. While he did well at the childminders, he has thrived at Kiddies. The activities before the lockdown were absolutely amazing, from French lessons to cooking and baking to sports.
The mud kitchen just fields the imagination. How they handled the situation during lockdown was inspiring, using Zoom to engage the students who couldn't make it in. My boy a lot of times didn't want to come home because he was having too much fun. His academic skills were already advanced, but Kiddies helped hone them. They also helped with development of his social skills. I have nothing but praise for the staff at Kiddies Academy.

My daughter attended Kiddies summer camp after our initial plans fell through because of COVID.
Kiddies was recommended by another Mum in my daughter’s school. From the get-go Kiddies made the process of registering seamless. I was particularly impressed by how flexible they were. The camp has proved
to be a revelation. My daughter has made lasagne, fruit bread, trifle and flapjacks. She has also learnt basic first aid, done a few science experiments and gardened too. The staff at Kiddies are warm and caring, and go out of their way to ensure the children have fun whilst learning.
We will definitely be using them again. My daughter skips to camp in the morning which is the best recommendation as far as we are concerned.

When we moved from London, I was apprehensive about sending my son (then 2.5 years) to a new nursery when he was so settled in his previous one. But I had nothing to worry about as he settled quickly within a week and loves Kiddies.
The outdoor space and initiative to keep them playing and learning
outside are wonderful. They learn more than the Early Years curriculum, they learn to look after each other and about different cultures too. Before Covid-19, they would go to the supermarket, train station and park to explore the world around them. The staff are so attentive and thoughtful, they point out areas for development and praise all the achievements they see/hear on a daily basis.
My daughter started at Kiddies at 13 months and was quite clingy but now happily leaves me to have her day of fun - listening to music, playing in the mud kitchen and painting! I recommend Kiddies to anyone I know that is looking for a nursery!

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2024

My name is Shankeetha, and I joined The Beaconsfield Day Nursery and Preschool in July 2024 as Deputy Manager. In May 2025, I stepped into my current role as Nursery Manager. I have been working in childcare for over eight years, and during that time, I have gained a wide range of experience supporting children’s development across different early years settings. I hold a BA in Early Years Education, which has given me both the knowledge and the confidence to lead with a strong understanding of child development.


What I truly love about working in childcare is being part of each child’s learning journey — from their very first steps into nursery life to developing the independence and confidence they will carry with them into school and life.


Seeing children thrive, explore, and grow brings me so much joy, and it is incredibly rewarding to know that I play a part in those milestones.


One of the things I love most about my job is working alongside such a passionate and dedicated team, as well as building strong partnerships with families. Together, we ensure that every child feels valued and cared for. It is a real privilege to lead The Beaconsfield Day Nursery and Preschool. To me, what makes our nursery so special is the caring community we have built — one where children are truly at the heart of everything we do.
