The nursery serves delicious, healthy meals prepared in-house by the chef, and a free gym membership is available with every full time nursery place.
The gym staff are qualified to teach your child to swim from the age of three years tho help support all children being active.
Nuffy Bear offers amazing outdoor facilities including a forest school, a growing area and a separate garden for the nursery's babies.
Parents are supported by a flexible, inviting nursery, within which their children can flourish, children can immerse themselves in a wide range of fun, exciting resources, creative activities and free childcare (funding) sessions.
The nursery day can be split into sessions.
The morning session runs from 8 am to 1 pm, and afternoon session from 1 pm to 6 pm.
There is free on site parking and child/parent parking bays right by the entrance. Please enter your car registration number when visiting the nursery. The portal can be found inside the nursery.

I couldn't be happier with my experience at Nuffy Bear Day Nursery so far. From the very beginning, the staff have been welcoming, caring, and professional, making both me and my child feel comfortable and supported. Leaving your child in someone else's care can be difficult, but the team at Nuffy Bear Day Nursery has given me complete confidence and peace of mind that my child is safe and happy. The staff take the time to get to know each child individually, and it's clear how much they genuinely care about their wellbeing and development. The staff are very transparent and the communication from them is excellent, they post regular updates and I always feel informed and reassured. All of the staff seem to know all of the children and parents regardless of what classroom they are in and this includes the headteacher who is also very hands-on and very much involved in the care of the children which is rare but nice to see.
I would highly recommend Nuffy Bear to any parent.

My daughter started at Nuffy Bear Day Nursery just before she turned 1 and she LOVES it. The staff are warm and kind and approachable, the understanding that they are caring for your most treasured person is evident in the way they talk to at drop off, pick up and anything in between. When I was finding drop offs difficult staff were patient and lind, often messaging to reassure me she was fine - which I trusted whole heartedly. The staff in the baby room knew my daughter so well, they could sense issues before obvious symptoms. Now she has moved to the toddler room and continues to be challenged and flourish. She has learnt to walk, 6alk,feed herself, make friends, tell stories and nursery rhymes - you name it. Soon we move to potty training and nursery will support us there too. The app is fantastic and allows you to see how your little one has eaten, slept and even track nappy changes.
We love you nuffy bear and always recommend.

My son started at Nuffy Bear in the baby room when he turned one, and from the start the staff made the transition so smooth for both him and us as parents. They took the time to get to know him, understand his routines, and help him feel safe and settled. The team were incredibly kind, supportive, and welcoming - it truly felt like joining a family.
When he moved to the toddler room, he was welcomed just as warmly by a new team, and the high standard of care continued. We receive excellent communication and regular feedback about his development, which is very reassuring. Our son loves going to nursery, has made lovely friendships, and is learning new skills every day. We've seen his confidence and happiness grow so much. We are extremely grateful to the Nuffy Bear team and look forward to continuing this journey with them for the next two years.

Nuffy Bear in Stoke Poges I can't fault, my little one has been with them since July/August 2024 so not far off a year and she is flourishing. She absolutely adores the staff and enjoys playing and learning without her always even realising. I am always kept in the loop and given feedback on how her days are going, how her progress is and if she's felt clingy in the morning to me, they send me reassuring videos / images of her playing and feeling settled. Amazing nursery and compared to all of those I visited, this one felt right and has only reinforced my reasons for picking them since!

Our daughters attended this nursery 8 years ago and both of them loved it. We now have a 2 year old and I was keen to see if Nuffy Bear was still as amazing. The short answer is yes! Yes, it is just as amazing, if not even better with the newer equipment they have. To my delight, many of the same staff were still at the nursery (which seems to be quite rare in nurseries).
When we walked in it still had the same warm welcome and all the children looked so happy. Our son settled in very quickly and absolutely loves it. He loves all of the staff and talks about them at home with great fondness. He is happy to stroll right in every time we drop him off and join in with whatever is going on. The staff are so friendly, experienced and clearly know each child well. The outdoor space is also perfect with lots of room for all kinds of play. We really like that they have a forest school and swimming lessons. Our son is thriving! Can't recommend this nursery more!

My son came here in 2018 until 2019, full days, five days a week, just before he started reception at school and my daughter is currently attending since 2023, full days, five days a week, she is 1 year old. I wouldn't dream of sending my children to any other nursery other than this one. This nursery has the best parent-staff communication throughout the day. Best handovers at the end of the day. Healthy food for kids, the babies and kids learn amazing skills and I really feel the level of care provided is so amazing, I do not worry that my child is not being looked after, she is so excited to go to nursery every day and she learns new skills from nursery. My son was struggling with eating and his speech, by the time he left nursery here he was eating all foods and talking away. So grateful for all of the staff at Nuffy Bear Day Nursery and all of the hard work they all put in to keep our children safe and excelling. Thank you so much.

The best nursery I had visited when looking for a nursery. All the staff made me feel welcome and reassured me that they will be able to accommodate for my daughter with additional needs. My daughter started Nuffy Bear when she was not able to walk, talk, eat or go to the toilet. She left this year doing all of the above. Without them I feel I would have really struggled giving my daughter the support she needed. They applied for her EHCP and followed through until we had it in place in time for school. All of the lovely ladies became my daughters’ secondary mothers. I knew I could go to them with anything, be it advise for my personal life or more of a professional opinion. All are very experienced in their roles and you can see that caring for children is their passion. We were very sad to leave, but I always take my precious back to say hello now and then. What a delightful setting, would recommend to every parent who are looking for a setting whom they can trust with closed eyes.

The team dealt with the concerns I have had with my child's development sensitively and quickly, and my child is making great progress now. I have face-to-face feedback every time my child attends nursery, and I can check the app for their food/sleep/nappies as it is updated regularly. My child is also a very fussy eater and is always supported and given options whilst still introducing new foods and textures. I recommend this nursery to anyone looking for a fun and caring place for their child to thrive.

My daughter started Nuffy Bear in October 2022 and has really flourished as an individual and with her peers. The staff are the superstars - I know that safeguarding and care is their top priority, and it gives me a huge sense of comfort and relief knowing my child is safe and happy every day whilst she is at the nursery. Facilities are great - food is cooked on site and of high quality and variety. Weekly swimming lessons are offered as part of the EYFS learning. The location is ideal and offers plenty of car parking. Communication is strong between families and staff - either face to face during pick up/drop off or the fantastic app. In addition, monthly newsletters are emailed to parents.

Positives: - Good at dealing with children with allergies
- Do make changes to the days your child attends, if there is availability, sooner than later
Negatives: - My child and peers came home with a number of accidents, this was the most concerning. - Children come home with bark and soil in nappies and paint on their hands and sometimes in their hair. - Feedback is not taken well or with an open mind. Immediate reaction was (in most cases) to deflect. - Children often sent home with soiled nappies or snotty noses. - Errors in invoices. Suggest these are reviewed before you make payment. - Not great at dealing the children who need additional needs or are a little quieter.
- Not very willing to communicate as much verbally since the introduction of the App.
Compared to other nurseries attended, I sadly would not recommend this nursery, unless your child is very independent and can communicate what happens in the nursery when they return home.

Nuffy Bear, excellent nursery! The entire staff are incredibly caring, supportive and welcoming. Both of my children attended this nursery and absolutely adored it. We can't express our gratitude enough for the care they received from morning till evening while we were at work. Initially, my daughter attended this nursery and recently my son followed suit. Even though they're both in school now, they still remember their nursery teachers and frequently talk about the wonderful times they had at Nuffy Bear. I can't emphasise how positive our experience with the nursery has been.

Hello, I’m Mel, the Nursery Manager at Nuffy Bear. I’ve worked in the Early Years sector for 25 years, and I genuinely love what I do. Watching children grow in confidence, develop their personalities, and reach new milestones is something I never tire of; it’s what makes my role so special.
I’ve been part of the Stoke Poges community for the past 8 years, and it truly feels like home. I’m proud to work alongside such a caring and dedicated team, and I really value the strong relationships we build with our families.
For me, it’s so important that our nursery feels like a home from home, somewhere children feel safe, happy, and excited to learn, and where parents feel reassured and supported. One of the things I enjoy most is getting to know each child and family as individuals and being part of their journey from those very first steps into nursery.
We also place great importance on celebrating diversity and promoting inclusion, ensuring every child and family feels respected, represented, and welcomed as part of our nursery community.

I am an Early Years Educator with 3 years’ experience, including 2 years at Nuffy Bear. I absolutely love supporting children as they grow and develop, and there is nothing more rewarding than seeing them reach their special milestones.
I enjoy creating fun, playful learning experiences and bringing out my inner child alongside the children. I have a nurturing and caring nature and always make sure every child feels safe, happy and valued in my care. Supporting each child’s next steps is very important to me, and I always ensure no child is left behind.

Building strong relationships is very important to me. I take the time to get to know each child as an individual, ensuring they feel loved, safe and supported. I believe the positive relationships we have as a team are reflected in the children, as they learn from the way we treat one another.

Hi, I’m Aqsa and I have worked in early years for 12 years, including 6 years at Nuffy Bear. I developed a passion for working with children after completing my work experience, and I have gone on to gain a Degree in Early Years.
I love working with babies and helping to set the foundations for their learning and development. Supporting them as they grow, explore and begin to understand the world around them is something I find incredibly rewarding. Coming from a large family and having lots of experience babysitting, I have always enjoyed being around children, which naturally led me into early years. I really value being part of a team that feels like a little family, where we work closely together and create a welcoming environment for both children and parents.
I love baking with the children- my team refer to me as Mary Berry! Encouraging them to be as independent as possible in a safe and supportive way. I also enjoy joining in with their play, especially games I used to love as a child, like “What’s the time Mr Wolf?” and tag. It’s so special to see their excitement and have fun together.
Ensuring the environment is safe and that high standards are always maintained is very important to me, so children can learn and play happily and securely.
