Chestnut Nursery School Woodgrange (Rated "Good" by OFSTED in March 2024) is a purpose-built setting located within the grounds of Woodgrange Infant School. They offer high-quality early years education for children aged 0 to 4 years.

The nursery features a spacious, secure outdoor learning area that gives children daily opportunities to explore, play, and learn through nature. The large garden allows for free-flow access to outdoor play, supporting physical development, independence, and creativity in a stimulating environment.

Inside, the space is carefully designed to be child-friendly, with low-level resources that encourage curiosity, exploration, and hands-on learning. Activities include sensory play, messy art, and a variety of open-ended materials that inspire imagination and discovery.

As with all Chestnut Nursery Schools, Woodgrange follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, enriched with their core curriculum.

Chestnut is a lovely nursery, staff are attentive and create very close bonds with the children. I also like the fact the space is open plan, free play is encouraged as well as organised activities and the children of all ages mix. The large garden is also a bonus.
