Chestnut Nursery School @ Woodgrange

Only area for improvement would be to add some more diversity to their days. The children are not taken out on trips, ever, which is disappointing. Not even to the park! Most other nurseries in the area take the children out. There have been a few occasions of visiting teachers - dance and football - but this has been limited.

My son has been at Chestnuts @ Woodgrange for over 2 years now and he has absolutely flourished in his confidence, speech, behaviour and especially with his numbers. I'm very happy with the outcome and the friendly and calm staff members who work extremely hard. A nursery I will always recommend for a child's early learning years. Thank you so much.

I love everything about chestnut - the timings, the staff, the activities, the support. As a single mum of 3 kids and with two in full time school, I almost took my youngest (now 3) out of the school because he wasn't old enough for the school hours and Shaista very kindly made adjustments for me so that I can keep him there and make use of the 30 hours I get. I can tell that the staff care for him as he is very happy when he comes home and he has started talking to the kids more. He enjoys the food and the interactions and feels comfortable enough to be in a strop every now and again. I'm happy that he is developing fine and is safe and happy.

I can't thank this nursery enough for the love, care, and support they have given my daughter, Aria. From the very beginning, they have made her feel safe, happy, and excited to learn every day.

A special thank you to the manager, Shaista, whose kindness, professionalism, and dedication are reflected throughout the nursery. It's clear how much she genuinely cares about every child and works hard to create such a warm and welcoming environment.

I'd also like to say a huge thank you to Melis my daughter's key worker and Mediha. They have been absolutely amazing with Aria, showing her so much patience, encouragement, and affection. Knowing she is with people who truly care about her has given me such peace of mind as a parent. Watching Aria grow in confidence, make friends, and develop new skills has been wonderful, and I know that's down to the incredible team at the nursery. I feel so grateful for everything they have done for her. I would wholeheartedly recommend this nursery.

An excellent nursery that our daughter has been very happy at. The staff are responsive to parents, give great updates at the end of the day about what she has been up to. She has really bonded with her key worker but all the staff are brilliant and take such good care of her. She loves the extra activities they do - things like football lessons, and dance class and all the amazing activities from painting to crafting and building. We are very sad to be saying bye to them. Would recommend.

Her key members of staff have been consistently attentive, constructive and supportive and overall, I am very happy with the nursery's ethos and approach to early years' education.

All I all, the Chestnut experience has been a lovely one for me but more importantly for my daughter. I would highly recommend it.

We couldn't be happier with our experience at this nursery. From the very beginning, the staff have been incredibly warm, caring, and welcoming, creating a safe and nurturing environment where our daughter has truly flourished. The dedication, patience, and kindness shown by every member of the team is outstanding. They take the time to understand each child as an individual, encourage their development, and make learning fun through a variety of engaging activities. It's been wonderful to watch our daughter's confidence, independence, and social skills grow during her time here. Communication with parents has always been excellent. We are kept informed about her progress, daily activities, and achievements, which gives us complete peace of mind knowing she is in such capable hands. We are so grateful to the entire team for everything they have done for our daughter. We would highly recommend this nursery to all parents.

I honestly couldn't have asked for a better nursery. The team do an amazing job, and I'm so grateful for the care, kindness and dedication they show every day. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to any parent looking for a safe, nurturing and welcoming environment for their child.

An excellent nursery and our daughter loves it there and has made a good group of friends. The staff are kind, compassionate and also good educators. Our daughter is also bouncing and smiling on her way in and out which is a good sign!

Both our children have attended Woodgrange Chestnut Nursery and we have been so happy with both experiences. They’ve always felt cared for and loved. The staff have always been welcoming and informative. Along with providing great feedback about their day.

My daughter has been at Chestnut Woodgrange for 1.5 years now and loves it there. The staff clearly love what they do and always seem so positive, caring and nurturing when they talk about my daughter's care. We noticed quite quickly that her speech and social skills improved after starting at Chestnut, and she has continued to grow into a very articulate, confident, creative and happy toddler. It is hard to leave your child with anyone, but to know she is excited to go in and play with her teachers (more so than her friends sometimes!) makes it easier. There is lots of room for role play and imaginative play, reading and painting, but also activities set up like brushing toy teeth/cutting vegetables/homemade modelling clay, as well as a great outdoor space for playing. We already plan to send our second child there once he turns 2, as we know he too will thrive there.

Our younger daughter has been attending Chestnut @ Woodgrange Nursery since September 2023. She has been very happy there. She is very attached to the staff, often talks about them at home and refers to them as her 'best friends'. She has developed friendships with the other children there. Communication from the nursery is very clear with regards to fees, relevant dates for the diary and also sending us home learning and local resources and activities that we might want to take advantage of. Our older daughter attends the school next door and so the location is very convenient for pick-ups. We would have no hesitation in recommending Chestnut @ Woodgrange to other parents.

Both of my children have attended Chestnut at Woodgrange. The staff are so friendly and clearly take pride in taking care of the kids. The manager is really helpful and great at communication. My children have made lots of friends there and they clearly love it as they always come out smiling!

My daughter had a wonderful time at Chestnut Woodgrange. She used to come home happy about her day and would tell me all about the stories and activities they were involved. The staff is lovely, kids don’t get pushed to do anything - they are respectful and really kind to kids and parents. I truly believe this is one of the best nurseries in the area and I am so happy that my daughter got to spend a lovely year making friends and learning so much with them.

Fantastic nursery - we’ve had a great experience for our 3-year-old. Caring and communicative staff. Engaging and fun play for the little ones. My son has a great time. When he started, he settled in quickly and he formed some strong bonds with the staff as well as friendships with the other kids. Every day there are new activities to keep him engaged and he feels very proud when he’s given a sticker to recognise his help tidying up.

My daughter has been attending Chestnut Nursery since September 2023. I find the nursery space very spacious for all the children and they also have a large outside play area which is amazing for the children. I am confident in the team's knowledge and experience. My daughter comes home with new words and shares her experience of the day which is amazing to me. The teachers are very approachable and are happy to speak with me about any concerns and positive feedback about my daughter. The staff are very friendly and always give me feedback every time I pick her up from her day with them, my daughter loves attending this nursery.

Woodrange Chestnut Nursery is wonderful place for toddler to start nursery. Staff here is very kind, supportive and helpful. They provide safe and fun environment in which toddler feels confident. I will never forget their contribution towards new start of my toddler's life.

My daughter attended Chestnut Nursery when she was a toddler and now my son has been attending for the past year. The main thing that draws me to the nursery is the staff, as they are absolutely fantastic in every way. They are really supportive, kind, patient and caring and above all, professional. My daughter made such a close bond with her main caregiver that she didn't want to leave and go to school once she turned 4. My son constantly talks about his caregivers and the activities he takes part in whilst at nursery. The supportive environment has really helped him develop in the past 12 months in relation to toilet training and engaging socially with others.
