Fledgelings Day Nursery (Hornchurch)

I am so thankful that I chose Fledglings for my daughter. She benefits so much from coming here and learns so many things while having fun. All staff is amazing, they have helped her grow and develop. They always have supported both of us through all issues. I could not be happier.

There are great resources and my child will come home daily talking about all the new things she has learnt. I know that all staff at Fledgelings are building a wonderful foundation for my daughter to start school and she will miss them all dearly when she leaves in August!

My son has been going here since he was 1 and he really loves it here. The staff and management are very kind and transparent and you can see that they put the needs of the kids first. There are lots of activities on all the time and I really appreciate the observations sent via the app from time to time.

My daughter went to Fledgelings Hornchurch and started in the toddler room. She had a really good relationship with her key worker. She then progressed to the pre-school room, where she has had a few key workers. Notwithstanding this, my daughter has felt comfortable going to all staff and she talks about how friendly they are. There are lots of activities for the kids to do. It's nice to have the app where they share photos and keep parents updated.

Our daughter started at the nursery when she was 13 months. The care was very good in the baby room, and I love the app that keeps you up to date. Unfortunately, her key worker left during her time in the baby room but she adapted well to her new key worker. The nursery indoors and outdoors is always very clean and they have nice wooden outdoor equipment. She is now in the Sparrows Room. The care is also very good. My only criticisms are there was a lot of staff turnover when she first moved to that room which seems to have settled now, and also that she has come out quite a few times very dirty (her face which could be cleaned). Overall Fledgelings Day Nursery Hornchurch is a good nursery and the staff are very caring and know the children well.

Very pleased with the nursery. My child learns a lot there every day, staff do care about children’s development and wellbeing. All the workers are very approachable and happy to provide parents with updates. I would recommend it to anyone without a doubt!

Good nursery and would recommend. Supplies a good service (exactly what we require) and since the new app or website, it’s made it even better! Only room for improvement on occasions is the food is not up to my expectation.

Fledgelings is a great nursery, and I cannot recommend them highly enough for the early years development - the service provided by the staff, the food provision and the care given to my child has been absolutely amazing!

I have had two children over a period of years at Fledgelings Day Nursery (Hornchurch). Throughout this period I have been very content will all aspects of the setting. Both children looked forward to attending and always had pleasant stories when collected about the day's activities. Staff and management were always approachable and took any concerns on board. Measures have been appropriately put in place since the emergence of the Covid virus and we are frequently notified of any necessary changes. This provides reassurance knowing that my children are being looked after in a safe, structured environment and enjoy the company of staff and other children whilst learning at the same time.

The staff at the nursery are friendly and approachable. My son's keyworker always gives me updates on his progress and what he's been doing that day, which is much appreciated. I think however the nursery could improve by taking the children on outings more (park, library etc) as there's so much to see and learn outside of the nursery. Improvements could also be made with recording information on the online system. For example, sometimes I'm told verbally that my son doesn't eat cereal or Ice lollies but then on the online system it's recorded he ate all cereal and all of the ice lolly, so this could be improved so that it's more accurate.

The nursery maintains high standards and has lovely equipment for the children to play with.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough. It's easy to drop off and worry all day about what your child is doing but with the level of care, commitment, activities and staff, I don't give the day a second thought! Everybody is friendly, the staff really engage with the kids, there are always activities going on. The management are incredibly supportive and make so much effort with individual families. I am so pleased my daughter goes here and have peace that she is well looked after throughout the day.
