Fledgelings Day Nursery (Hornchurch)

Fledglings Early Learning Center is a wonderful choice for young children, offering a safe and nurturing environment. The facilities are clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with interactive classrooms and a fun outdoor play area. The staff are exceptional, showing genuine care and attentiveness to each child, fostering both learning and emotional growth.

The play-based curriculum strikes a great balance between structured learning and free play, encouraging creativity and foundational skills in language, math, and social development. Safety is a top priority, with secure entry, child-proofed areas, and well-trained staff.

Communication with parents is strong, with daily updates via a parent app and regular progress reports. Meals provided are nutritious, though more organic options would be a welcome addition. While a bit pricier, Fledglings offers excellent value for the level of care, making it a highly recommended nursery.

We have nothing but positive things to say about this nursery. Our son started with Fledgelings in February 2021 starting in the baby room, and most recently graduating from the preschool room. As parents raising a child with additional needs, we have always felt fully supported and the staff have been nothing short of fantastic with our son. Most recently, our daughter has started with fledgelings and we are so excited to watch her journey

We have always been very pleased with Fledgling’s nursery, having had two children attend from 2021 - present day. The staff are kind, compassionate and welcome the kids in with a smile every morning. Both of our children have always found the atmosphere friendly, safe and entertaining. There is always a range of educational activities and thoughtfully prepared food on offer. The key workers we’ve had over the years have been brilliant. I would continue to recommend Fledgling’s Hornchurch to friends.

They have a good size garden with water/sand exposure which is good for development and a change from drawing for example.

Since starting my 9-month-old at the Hornchurch branch back in September, I cannot explain how pleased we are with how it is going. My little one absolutely loves going there and has learnt so many new skills in the short time he has been there. I get regular updates via the app regarding what meals my son has had, his sleep schedule etc. The staff are beyond incredible and I get such comfort knowing that my son is being cared for by such wonderful staff (particular shout out to the ladies in the Robin Room) for looking after my baby. I could not recommend Fledgelings Hornchurch enough!

Very caring and pleasant staff. There are a bit too many rules but I guess that's to meet the standards. Don't take kids out for walks much, upon asking they always say we are short on staff. Also, the kids come out of the nursery very untidy with their hands and faces dirty as if they were just left on their own. The rest is very good.

The staff is excellent, full of care, calm and well prepared to guide, nourish and support the children. Very happy with the development, communication and flexibility shown throughout our interaction. Many thanks! Our eldest daughter will miss you and the second one will enjoy life in nursery until time comes to go to school.

While we have had a wonderful experience overall, there are a few areas that we believe could be further improved. Firstly, incorporating more outdoor activities, such as taking the children on walks to the park more frequently. Additionally, introducing physical education activities, like yoga for toddlers. Lastly, promoting more frequent get-togethers with parents would foster a stronger sense of community.

Our son enjoyed his time at Fledgelings Day Nursery while he was there. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend this nursery to others as our daughter also went here too and had a positive experience as well.

My son has been attending this nursery for 2 years and he has thoroughly enjoyed his time here. He has made good friends and has learnt a lot. The staff are very friendly and he has built good relationships with them.

Our children have been attending this nursery for over the course of 6 years, we are very happy with the service provided. Both children loved attending Fledgelings Day Nursery from the baby room through to the end of pre-school.

Our daughter loves going to the nursery and enjoys her time there. Her class teachers are all very caring and attentive to her needs. She is now more confident and active. Also, her eating has improved significantly; she tries more food and eats more portions. Using the app is very reassuring including updates on the naps, toileting and eating. Our daughter loves the outdoors but they do not get much outdoor time due to staff numbers. Also, a weekly/monthly summary of what the class does throughout the day with photos would be great. All in all, very happy with the nursery and glad our daughter is comfortable and happy.

My son previously attended this nursery six years ago and we all loved it so there was no question about sending my daughter there. She has had a great time at Fledgelings Day Nursery and it really shows in her confidence, abilities and knowledge. She’s loved all the activities, learning about different topics and the occasional trip to the park. The facilities are always brilliant and I know she’s offered nutritional meals three times a day (even at times when she’s being extra picky!) The team have been excellent at each stage, from the baby room to preschool. It’s been a great foundation for school and I’m sure she’ll continue to flourish. The staff have been great throughout, even with the challenges of Covid, and my daughter will really miss them when she leaves. Big thank you to the staff for teaching, caring and restyling her hair every time she asks!

Fledgelings Day Nursery has been providing childcare for my children for the past five years. My children have been there from babies through to leaving for school. Each member of staff is experienced, caring and nurturing towards the children. If any issues are raised they are quickly resolved.

The nursery is very educational through play.

Fledglings Day Nursery has been a great place for my son to excel and learn about the world. He has made many new friends and really come out of his shy bubble. His speech has come on leaps and bounds and I believe this is a happy and safe setting for all children to be themselves while setting them up for future success.

My three-year-old son has been attending for a year now and I can honestly say, I have never been more pleased with a childcare provider before. The staff is incredibly professional and truly seem to love what they do, which is evident in the way they interact with the children. The connection with the parents is outstanding, and my husband and I both feel completely confident and secure leaving our son in their care. I usually don't give excellent feedback, but this place deserves it. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for exceptional childcare.
