The Hospital Day Nursery Reviews (30)
Over all time The Hospital Day Nursery has 30 reviews.
The staff are incredibly supportive of the children and parents. They provide a thorough review at pick up time. My son (bumble bee room) comes home each day and tells me who he has played with and what he has done. He loves the daily helper tasks and also quickly explains the superhero rules to his sister. My daughter (butterfly room) has grown in confidence since starting at nursery. Her keyworkers settled her quickly and she has her favourites who she will happily go to in the morning. The menu is varied and healthy. My son particularly loves the Spanish chicken and asks if I can make it at home just like at nursery. I really like the way each room has core staff and "floating staff" so if someone else is covering the children know them already. We are greeted each morning with a smile and each child is welcomed by name. At night each child is said goodbye to by name at the door. The nursery feels like an extension to our family and I am amazed at the number of activities each day.
All staff members have been very accommodating, supportive and have kept me fully informed on how my son is progressing on a daily basis. We received a thorough induction programme and successful settling in which enabled my son to have a smooth and positive transition into full-time care. At just 6 months old, he's already had opportunities to painting, circle time and many other engaging activities.
My husband and I are truly impressed with how happy and confident our son is with all the staff. He truly enjoys his time there.
It has also helped that I have been able to call during the day to have a quick update on his day.
I have recommended The Hospital Day Nursery to many of my friends and believe the staff are an asset to the manager.
Thank you again for such a positive experience.
One particular staff member is an asset to the nursery.
Staff have been very accommodating and friendly and the facilities are clean and in good condition with a wide variety of toys and activities for the children.
Every day the children seem to experience something new. A variety of activities from arts and crafts which you'll get to share in as they regularly come home with their latest creation and fun, sporting activities which they can all enjoy regardless of their ability. If you are looking for a nursery that provides exceptional care, nurtures each of the children on a personal level and provides a safe and welcoming environment, then I can't recommend the nursery enough. I'll be sad when my eldest heads to school in September.
Both of my children have attended the nursery. My son only spent a year there before he went to school. My daughter has been there for 3 years and will be leaving this July ready to start school. The nursery has been brilliant. They have catered for my children's needs, especially as we only eat halal meat, they brought some so my children would eat, which we were very grateful, as my son didn't like the vegetarian options. The staff are always friendly and keep me up to date with everything. My daughter loves going to nursery and always leave her with a smile on her face. They have a range of activities for the children to do. I have been very happy over the last 3 years with the nursery.
My son settled into the nursery very well with the help from the staff here which are all very friendly and caring.
After visiting many nurseries for our son to attend when I visited this one it ticked all the boxes. The nursery and garden are spacious, well maintained with plenty of toys to play/learn and the staff were welcoming and friendly. We haven't been disappointed. Our boy has been attending for 8 months now and after a little time to settle, he has come on leaps and bounds with credit to all those that help develop his social and learning skills. Safeguarding is paramount, the hours of care offered are ideal for working parents and the staff care and provide great feedback about our little man's day. We are very happy that our son is looked after by the wonderful staff at the Hospital Day Nursery.
Both children have loved being part of The Hospital Day Nursery. They always seem happy to go and have created great bonds with some of the teaching staff.
As my husband works at the hospital one day a week, it has been so practical having our son in the on-site nursery. We are so pleased our son was accepted at this nursery.
As soon as I walked around the nursery three/four years ago, I immediately felt it was the place for my child. The team at the nursery have since confirmed I was so right to choose them.
Both my children actually look forward to going to nursery and you can see the staff genuinely care about my children and my children care about them. The nursery not only look after my children but they also help to nurture and teach them.
I can’t recommend this nursery enough, they really do go above and beyond.
The food the nursery provides is great and plenty of it for my hungry child.
The nursery is always clean and tidy despite all the children running around playing, the outside area is great and allows my child to run around, also to take part in sports activities run by the nursery staff and the sports academy that comes in to encourage the children.
The health and safety and safeguarding of the children is paramount to the nursery and the children are always put first.
The hours the nursery operates is amazing as this facilitates shift workers, going to work knowing your child is safe and well is priceless.
Our little boy's development has noticeably improved, family and friends always comment on how advanced his speech and communication skills are. All of the staff are extremely friendly and my little boy talks about them all the time, even at the weekends.
The activities set out by the school change on a daily basis and I love hearing about garden time, messy play, reading, baking and dancing/singing. The feedback when we collect him is always really thorough, personal to him and not generic feedback that you get with other nurseries.
The staff have been truly amazing and so supportive and I can honestly say that it is so refreshing to see such a vibrant and dedicated staff team. The positive attitudes of the staff and their high levels of commitment definitely show through how happy my daughter is there. To know my daughter is safe and well looked after whilst I go to work puts me at ease for the rest of the day. I cannot recommend this nursery enough.
I highly recommend this nursery, all my children have attended and have absolutely loved it. The girls are fantastic with the little ones, would definitely recommend.
My daughter joined the nursery in January 2019 at 11 months old. As parents will know, a very tender and clingy age but the staff were so supportive and patient in getting her settled as well as making sure the parents felt comfortable and updated with her progress before she started. Now 4 months on, she loves it, couldn’t recommend it more highly. The staff are all lovely and I can already see how well she is developing from the structured activities they do. Her key worker is a dream and they have a lovely bond, making it that little bit easier leaving her to go to work knowing she is well looked after and ultimately happy.
The staff are always friendly and help the children to learn in a fun, safe environment. They let us know each day what our little one has been doing and she’s always really happy to be there as each morning she runs to the door.
The opening hours are also a big help for us around work and they are also really accommodating around extra sessions if we need it. Overall, we are really pleased that our little one is well looked after and is learning and growing in a great nursery so we don’t worry about her when she is there.
My son has been attending The Hospital Day Nursery for 3 years now and it has been such a positive place and experience for us. The staff that work there are so friendly and very easy to talk to, they show so much love and care towards the children. It really is an amazing place. The opening hours are great for working parents. The nursery offers so much and each room is catered for a certain age range and they always have lots of activities going on which I love. I have to say, the best part about the nursery are all the ladies that work there, it really puts you at ease knowing that they care so much for your children, and the children love them back just as much, they always go above an beyond.
Our daughter absolutely loves the nursery. The staff are brilliant and she is well looked after. Cannot recommend this nursery enough.
My 2.5-year-old twin boys have been attending The Hospital Day Nursery for over a year and have come on leaps and bounds in that time. The nursery offers a wide range of activities to help my boys grow both physically and mentally and have helped their personalities grow into inquisitive, playful and happy young boys.
The nursery offers a fantastic outside play area and also a good space inside. The food is good and has helped to develop their tastes. I would definitely recommend The Hospital Day Nursery to other parents.
