Nursery on the Hill, rated Good by Ofsted (August 2024), offers a welcoming and secure setting where each child is nurtured and stimulated.

To ensure each child feels safe and happy during their time at the nursery, the team work closely with families. The nursery also has a 'key person' system. This means that each member of staff has a group of children for whom she/he is particularly responsible for. Your child's key person will be the person who works with you to make sure that what is provided is right for your child's particular needs and interests.

The team believe that learning and care should start the moment a child joins the nursery and each is offered child and adult led activities and daily routines to help promote their learning and development.

Our son loves Nursery on the Hill! He enjoys going there every morning and we can see from the pictures we receive during the day all the creative activities that the nursery staff prepares for the children. Looks like we made the right choice!

The nursery staff are always so professional and friendly.
The nursery is a clean and safe environment and I know that my child is in safe hands. They have a vast variety of meals and they share the menu with you each week. They also share pictures and videos with you of what your child has been doing
each day and keep you in the loop of any dates you need to be made aware of. They work with parents in various ways including parent's evenings and even run events that the parents can attend including (recently) a Mother’s Day event where the mums could come to nursery and enjoy doing activities with their children. They run yoga classes for the children and take them on educational trips. My son is happy to attend this nursery and I will be sad when he leaves in September to attend school.

My little girl has been going to Nursery on the Hill since she was 11 months, she's now nearly 3 and thriving. The staff all go above and beyond and the activities they set up for the children are outstanding. Day trips, special days and endless creativity when it comes to keeping the little ones engaged.
Couldn't be happier and couldn't recommend it more.

My two daughters attend Nursery on the Hill, my eldest in the over 2s and my 18 month old in the baby room. Me and my husband are so impressed with all of the staff, they are absolutely amazing with the girls and also all of the other children.
My daughters love going and have formed special bonds
with some of the staff.
It's an outstanding nursery and I would recommend it to everyone looking for a nursery to send their children.

The friendly staff at Nursery on the Hill have made the transition as easy as possible. Our daughter enjoys the varied activities provided. We really like the regular updates on the app to give peace of mind throughout the day.

We couldn’t be happier with Nursery on the Hill. Our daughter absolutely loves it. We can’t get over how much effort the lovely staff go to on a daily basis with such a varied range of activities! We love receiving all the updates.

My son has been at nursery since January 2021 and started just before 1. As a lockdown baby, we were worried about how he would settle in and adjust having really only been with us for most of his first year. The nursery was amazing and from day one my son has absolutely loved attending. They are so
kind and helpful and work exceptionally hard to put on a wide range of fun, educational and stimulating activities for the children. I have been so impressed by the way staff really know the children and their personalities, likes and dislikes. Although we drop off at the door and then always get given a good handover and the atmosphere is always pleasant. Staff seem to enjoy their work too which is lovely to see and adds to the positive atmosphere. All in all highly recommended to anyone looking for a nursery in Enfield!

Both my children have attended Nursery on the Hill and it is such a welcoming, nurturing and happy place for my children to learn and play. My children are and were always happy, well-adapted and excited to go to nursery each day.


As a primary school teacher myself, I understand the importance of

learning and learning through play in these formative years and the nursery has always exceeded my expectations.


Also, the nursery really focuses on the transition to school and my son was extremely ready when the time came.

Even though my son is very attached to me, and drop-offs can be hard, he always tells me he's had a good day when he gets picked up. The staff are very attentive to my obvious anxiety about how he's been and give me or my husband a daily debrief. This nursery is just the right size for us - not too
big, not too small, with lots of play space and outdoor time. We will be hoping to send our younger boy there, too.

My daughter loves attending Nursery on the Hill and always comes home full of stories about her day. The nursery takes the children to local parks, shops and events, which is a great experience; they even get on a train to go to the pet shops! The staff always go the extra mile to provide what's best

I am very happy with the nursery. My son loves to go to nursery, and he enjoys every moment there. The staff are amazing, and I am pleased with the nursery. When he started, he did struggle but once settled, he enjoys it there.

My son started at Nursery on the Hill in June 2020 and we could not have asked for a better nursery, he has loved it from the start! The staff are all amazing with the children and go above and beyond with their care. The communication is good with regular updates on Tapestry as well as email communication.
The range of activities is great with themed days and meals, and the trips out are also very well organised.


The fresh and varied food is always enjoyed by my little one and overall he is so happy there. It’s a lovely community of parents too, very glad we got a place!

My eldest son had a brilliant experience at Nursery on the Hill so we knew it was the perfect place for his younger brother who started in the baby room in February 2022. The staff are caring and friendly and my boys are very fond of them.

From the outset, Nursery on the Hill has been a wonderful nursery to send my little one to. The staff are caring and reassuring and provide a happy and fun environment. The setup of activities is excellent, with a lovely library and garden activities. My little one loves to go and often forgets to say
goodbye to us whilst toddling in for breakfast.

Nursery on the Hill is an exceptional nursery. The staff are kind and approachable and are so engaging with all the children. My son has loved attending this nursery. He has learned so many new skills through the cleverly thought-out creative play the nursery provides. The nursery has helped build my

Nursery on the Hill (Enfield) Ltd delivers a wonderful homely feel and outstanding care for my daughter. Every day the nursery is set up with exciting activities inside and out from a roleplay beach holiday corner complete with real sand and shells to a water play station, a DIY area with hard hats
and mountains with fairies, horses and knights. Then there's Forest School, toddler yoga and music classes. The staff are all so attentive and caring, it's wonderful to know she's in good hands and learning something new every day.

As someone who has managed nurseries before, I was a tad picky when selecting a nursery for my daughter. Nursery on the Hill is like leaving your child with family, but family that create an amazing learning environment and play areas. Their arms are always open ready to greet my daughter and they make
both of us feel at ease. They also get my daughter eating things that no amount of "bribes" would get her eating at home. This alone is a winner. So thank you for making this transition to nursery rather wonderful

Catherine has been with the company for almost 10 years. She became Nursery Manager at the age of 23 and has gone from strength to strength.
