Nursery on the Hill, rated Good by Ofsted (August 2024), offers a welcoming and secure setting where each child is nurtured and stimulated.

To ensure each child feels safe and happy during their time at the nursery, the team work closely with families. The nursery also has a 'key person' system. This means that each member of staff has a group of children for whom she/he is particularly responsible for. Your child's key person will be the person who works with you to make sure that what is provided is right for your child's particular needs and interests.

The team believe that learning and care should start the moment a child joins the nursery and each is offered child and adult led activities and daily routines to help promote their learning and development.

A wonderful year for my child at NOTH. We started the nursery just over a year ago and we cannot speak more highly of the staff, the environment and the efforts the nursery go to every single day to help my child develop and be happy.

Our child has been with NOTH for more than 12 months and we couldn't be happier.
The staff are incredible and our daughter has bonded so well with them all, and talks about them all the time at home. The range of activities and learning that they provide is phenomenal and our daughter's development
is really noticeable as a result of being at NOTH.
We are so happy and so is our child with everything at NOTH.

A brilliant nursery with the most amazing staff. Our daughter is always so excited to attend nursery and that is testament to the staff at Nursery on the Hill. My experience with this nursery has been fantastic so far. The staff have been so attentive to the individual needs of my baby and making sure the settling in period was as smooth and stress free for my baby as possible. My baby has formed such a lovely bond with his key worker and I feel so happy leaving
him with the staff each day as I know he is very well cared for by a lovely team.


They provide me with plenty of updates throughout the day and I can see that they are doing such varied activities with the children each day and I know they're having so much fun and having the opportunity to feed their curiosities.

My Daughter has recently started at Nursery On The Hill. I can honestly say it has been an amazing experience so far for my daughter and for us as parents. All my daughter's carers in the baby room are so caring, loving, attentive and kind. My daughter was assigned a key person who is absolutely wonderful.
She helped my daughter to settle in and is able to meet all her needs and help her to thrive in her environment. It's lovely to receive the feedback during the nursery day. Even though my daughter has been given a key person all the other staff members have a lovely connection with her and make the effort to know her which is just fantastic. All the children look happy. It's very clean and spacious for the children to explore. All the staff are knowledgeable and able to answer any questions and as a first time mum I had a lot. The Management Team are very approachable and very helpful.

Excellent service. Our child is growing and learning through the activities at Nursery on the Hill and comes out with all sorts of clever things that we certainly didn't teach him at home! The staff are really friendly and obviously care a lot for the kids.

We've been exceptionally happy with sending our daughter to Nursery on the Hill. The baby room team were very supportive when she settled in at 8 months and now, a year later, it's a challenge to get her to leave at the end of the day, she loves it there so much! The team are attentive, caring and proactive.
They create a warm, friendly, caring, compassionate, and respectful environment for the children to thrive. Our daughter not only has great fun, and looks forward to going every morning, but she's learning so much. I'm amazed at the creative and practical activities they do daily; the team really get the kids engaged, even in baking muffins for their nursery friends. They also pay attention to each child's learning needs and have tailored activities to help our daughter develop her walking, balance and communication skills over time. We also really like getting weekly meal plans (which look yum!), weekly themes, daily reports and lots of photos throughout the day.

My son attended Nursery on the Hill for c. 3.5 years before heading off to 'Big school' as a confident young boy and that is down to the love, care and education he received at Nursery on the Hill. My daughter is attending the nursery now and she quite happily waves me off every morning as she settles
in for a day of fun and games with all her friends and teachers.
It's a wonderful place, I'd be lost without it!

We absolutely love Nursery on the Hill and are so grateful for the lovely team who made it so good. My daughter transitioned here 6 months ago from another nursery (changed due to location) and they really helped her settle in quickly.
The staff think of really good activities to stimulate and aid
the children’s learning, and they communicate this really well to parents so we know what the theme is for the week and the activities they might be doing. I love that they also take the children out on little trips locally e.g. to the shops or a care home.
My daughter is definitely eating different foods that she perhaps wouldn’t have eaten at home, due to eating them with other children at nursery so I see a good impact here.
They’ve also been really supportive in potty training which has been a huge relief!
Thanks to all of the wonderful staff for doing such a great job - it’s recognised and appreciated!

We are so happy with the excellent care our son has received by all at Nursery on the Hill. The staff are brilliant- the girls are full of energy, positive, and caring and it is clear the children are at the forefront of everything they do. We also really appreciate the great communication, the daily
updates and the regular feedback. It’s particularly nice to have a weekly update for what theme is coming for the following week so we could talk about his learning confidently at home too- especially before he had many words!
Our son loves attending the nursery and we love seeing all of the daily updates of the wide range of purposeful activities he takes part in: from crafts, to messy play, to forest school, to trips, to roleplay etc.
Above all, he feels safe at nursery and we know he is in great hands when he’s there. Transitions have been smooth which shows how secure he has felt. We hope to send our daughter there next! Highly recommend.

Overall very happy with Nursery on the Hill. Our daughter loves it here and is a big driving force in keeping her there even after several recent fee increases. Staff are excellent, would be good to see their wages increased in order to retain current staff and attract staff of the same calibre.

For me, Nursery on the Hill is second to none. From the day I dropped my twins off when they were only 1 year old until now (nearly 4) it has been their second home.
My kids are happy, they are developing in all areas and they are excited and happy to go to the nursery to see all their “teachers”
and friends.
As a mother, the nursery has supported me through difficult times with my son who hasn’t always been the easiest child but with persistence, guidance, help and understanding they have helped us through to the stage we are at now.
I can’t imagine my kids not going here and I will be so sad to see them leave and start primary school.
I highly recommend Nursery on the Hill and to say “thank you” isn’t enough

Nursery on the hill is a great nursery. Both my son and now my daughters have really enjoyed their time in the setting. It is professionally run and the communication is good. They offer a wide range of activities and the staff are all super friendly. It is a great place for children to learn and get
them ready for school. I would highly recommend this nursery.

Both our girls have gone to Nursery on the Hill and have loved it. The facilities are excellent and the kids get exposed to so many wonderful experiences. The nursery has a real welcoming feeling and the staff are lovely, attentive and provide amazing feedback and support. Would highly recommend it.

We have had a wonderful experience at Nursery on the Hill. The staff are attentive and clearly care so much about the children. We have been offered extra support around any developmental concerns that arise. My son absolutely loves going! Knowing that he’s at such an outstanding nursery, that offers
tonnes of variety, themed weeks, healthy food and holistic support gives me the greatest relief! Cannot say enough good things. They also somehow manage to get him to sleep peacefully which might have been the greatest shock of all! Thank you.

Amazing nursery, I’m so happy with the vast amount of learning activities and extra activities such as Chinese New Year celebrations, teaching baby room about hygiene brushing teeth etc. My daughter has learnt so much! The app is one thing that brightens my day seeing all the different activities for
the day in action! The staff are amazing and friendly! The weekly food menu is nutritious and varied! Would highly recommend it!
