Open during term time to align with school hours, the nursery provides a safe space for children aged 2-4 years to learn about themselves and the world around them. Children are encouraged to engage with a range of learning opportunities and challenges through play, ensuring that all children thrive. The nursery is situated in a wonderful open location that enables children to benefit from their own dedicated outdoor play area, specific eating area and nature garden. Book and attend a Toddler Group session, held every Monday morning from 9-10am, tailored for children aged 18 months to 4 years. There are highly experienced and qualified nursery practitioners who are clearly dedicated to ensuring that each child not only grows and develops their skills all around, but they enjoy doing so. I have seen this approach work very well with my son who is now 7. This nursery gave him the firm foundation needed to then successfully and confidentially transition up into reception. For me, the most important thing is having the peace of mind knowing that when I drop my daughter off, I am confident that she will be safe, loved and happy with her friends and teachers.

Mrs Upfold joined Cumnor House in January 2020, leading her team to create an engaging personalised learning space for all of our pupils. Spearheading the Early Years Quality Mark which Cumnor House was awarded in June 2021. Bringing teachers into our Pre-School rooms from September 2021 ensures that the quality of learning and the building blocks of phonics, reading and writing will be embedded from the age of 3, giving our pupils excellent preparation for their transition through to our Reception classes.
