Platform One Nursery Ltd

Platform One is a wonderful nursery to send your little one to. My daughter has been there for 14-months now, and we love all aspects of it. The baby room is such a lovely place to start nursery life, with two brilliant staff members who are overly caring and loving and genuinely interested in all parts of the children's wellbeing. My daughter has recently moved into the toddler room, and it's equally a great place to have fun - a different environment (vs maximum six children in the baby room) but great exposure for little ones to develop. My daughter has a couple of allergies and dietary requirements, and the team have adapted the menus for her accordingly and changed the menu to accommodate our requests for a balanced diet. I couldn't rate Platform One more highly, would strongly recommend to all.

My son went to this nursery full time from the age of 11 months until he started school this year. My daughter is 2 years old and has been attending full time from 10 months of age. All members of staff are genuinely kind and caring towards the children and ensure that children are made to feel safe and secure in a homely environment. Children are given nutritious meals every day which includes a hot meal at tea time as well as lunchtime. Parents are kept well informed of their child's developments and daily sheets are handed to provide useful information e.g. how long a child has napped for, how much they ate, and a brief description of the activities they undertook. Emphasis is placed on teaching the children to be polite and caring towards others, encouraging them to be curious about the world. My son has benefitted enormously from this nursery and having spent 4 years at Platform One, he has thrived and settled easily into school life - all of this is down to Platform One!

Platform One Nursery Ltd is a great environment for preschool children and babies. Both my sons attend Platform One Nursery Ltd and absolutely love their nursery. They often don't want to go home which is a testament to the staff that work there. They are very well cared for and have developed so much since they started. I would definitely recommend Platform One Nursery Ltd to friends and family looking for a nursery.

The days seem well organised and structured, however, I would like to have seen a stronger focus on learning and milestones set for children depending on their capabilities, due to the small setting and focus on play children may outgrow it fairly quickly.

We highly recommend this nurturing, friendly and very welcoming nursery. My son has been going to Platform 1 for 2.5 years - from the age of 6 months - and has been looked after so well by the girls in the baby room and now the nursery room. He loves going in! All of the staff genuinely love the kids and make sure they have lots of interesting activities every day. We love receiving the Tapestry emails so we can see the pictures and videos from his days. The food is all freshly cooked on site and is varied, nutritious and encourages him to eat a varied diet. There is a very well-stocked and safe outside play area that is used as much as possible. He’s made some lovely friends, too. It’s great knowing your child is somewhere so lovely when you have to work.

The manager and her team have made the transition for my little ones first time in nursery, and my return to work, a great experience, and for that, I am very grateful. The nursery is like home from home and is always kept clean and tidy, with lots of bright visual displays and suitable toys for her to play with. You can see that her keyworkers really compliment each other and work very well together. They constantly keep my little one entertained with different educational activities throughout the day and keep me updated with what she has been up to. Overall we are both happy with our experience of the nursery so far. Thank you.

My son has been going to Platform One Nursery for a year now and we couldn't be happier with our choice. The girls in the baby and toddler rooms are absolutely brilliant. They know and love my child and I can see that they respect his needs and likes and dislikes. Management and staff retention are excellent which means that the children do not see unfamiliar, agency staff every now and then. Children numbers are also relatively low which makes it a homey and warm environment for the little ones. I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough!

Platform One is a fantastic nursery. I have two children who attend (toddler and baby). The staff are incredibly caring, helpful, friendly, enthusiastic, energetic and the kids love them! There are two rooms, with a lovely outdoor play area for both age groups. The menu is impressive, with lots of variety. I really do recommend this nursery.

My first born daughter attended this nursery and now my younger daughter has just started too. Lovely little nursery with good facilities and friendly staff. I feel more comfortable that it is not too big. Both my daughters love the nursery.

Both of our children have attended Platform One and were very happy (3 years and counting). The manager and her staff are brilliant and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Platform One to anyone.

My 16 month old son has been in the baby room for 2 months. He has settled really quickly and I have felt completely confident in the staff which has made my transition to work so much easier. The staff in the baby room are fantastic and already seem to know my son well. They have all worked there for a long time which is reassuring and staff turnover is very low. The baby room is small with a home from home feeling.

The staff arrange lots of activities like water play, arts and crafts, outdoor play and baking. They leave really sweet entries in his log book each week so I know what they've been up to. They communicate well with parents asking permission to go on outdoor trips and informing of any illness or accidents promptly.

I would definitely recommend to others and I'm sure I will send number 2 there eventually!
