Platform One Nursery Ltd

We absolutely love Platform One. We've had two children there over the course of the past four years or so.

The staff are lovely and the setting is fun (and very convenient for working parents!) because the children can see the nearby train bridge from the garden play area. There is a good balance of space between the indoors and the outdoors and our kids have always felt so at home there.

I think one of the signs of how well-loved a nursery it is - alongside how much we all rate it as parents - is that the staff working there have been there for many years and always have a smile on their face when telling us everything the children have been up to at the end of each day. They celebrate many different events and cultural moments and go above and beyond to ensure that the kids enjoy their time at nursery.

Our kids have thrived there, and we'll always remain grateful to the dedicated team members for doing such an amazing job!

We have had a wonderful experience with Platform One Nursery. My daughter joined soon after turning one years old and has now recently started in the toddler room. My daughter is always excited and happy to see her nursery friends and teachers and has become more confident. My daughter has been encouraged to join in all activities in nursery and has shown special interest in drawing and doing arts and crafts. My daughter has been able to learn the alphabet, name animals, colours and objects and is constantly improving daily. My daughter's teachers often encourage her and find creative ways to make learning enjoyable. We are very pleased with the nursery. Many thanks to all the teachers at Platform One Nursery.

My son has been at platform once since he was 6 months old. First in the baby room then progressing to toddler. In both rooms he has had exceptional care from all the teachers. As a parent leaving a 6 month old baby to be in the care of others from 8am to 6pm 3x a week is difficult but I never worried about his care as he was always happy at drop off, pick up and in all the tapestry reports we get back. He is leaving soon to start pre-school and we will both truly miss everyone we have had the pleasure of dealing with over the last 3 1/2 years. Although the location my seem there wouldn't be much outside space, what the nursery have done with their outdoor area is fantastic and there is so much inside and out for the children to be entertained with. I always recommend platform one to local parents and I thank everyone who works there for their love, support and assistance in my sons development and care.

I'm so happy with platform one nursery and grateful for everything they have done for me and my son over the past two and a half years from teaching him how to dress, eat on his own and toilet train within 10 days, this is something that as a full time working mum I would never be able to achieve. The staff feel like family and i trust them fully. The nursery has great facilities and lots of opportunities for learning. My son has been attending since he was 9 months old and this was the best decision we have ever made.

We have had 2 children go through Platform One from August 2019 until August 2025. They have been phenomenal - especially with early years care. We really value the excellent relationship that the whole team build with the kids - there are no 'weak links'! If our kids ever have a wobble about going they are always there with a smile to help them. The manager and another staff member run the nursery really well and are flexible where they can be. I would also commend their communication - it is consistent and high quality.

Lovely nursery with a very homely feel and very friendly staff. My 2 year old loves it there and now it came to the point sometimes he doesn't want to leave as he gets busy playing. They have great activities, toys etc. His confidence grew and so his vocabulary while attending the nursery. We are very happy and definitely would recommend it - he has been attending since he was 1.

My daughter started at Platform One Nursery in March 2024 shortly after her first birthday. She settled in really quickly due to the loving, nurturing and stimulating environment provided by the wonderful staff. The nursery has a home-from-home feel to it with an excellent array of toys and activities for the children to do. The staff are constantly engaging with the babies and toddlers and so I know she is never left to her own devices nor would she ever be bored or not stimulated. My daughter has a lovely bond with the staff in the baby room and is visibly excited when it's time to go to nursery. A lovely nursery with excellent and extremely caring staff.

Daughter started in February 2024. Staff have been most welcoming and helpful in her settling in. Always returns home happy and smiling. Wonderful outdoor facilities. Keeps parents informed of events/syllabus for the month; covering lots of important dates with plenty of crafts and activities. Husband and I are most pleased with Platform One Nursery and would highly recommend.

Overall, I think a great nursery is one that is organised, has outstanding staff retention, great communication skills and works closely with parents to support a child's development and needs and Platform One possesses all these traits.

Amazing experience at Platform One Nursery. Staff are very caring and loving to the children, making it like a family away from home. My little one settled in really well as a result and has formed really strong relationships, not just with his key worker but with all staff. I especially love that all staff have been at the nursery for a long time and therefore build great relationships with the children rather than rely on the agency staff like the other nurseries we have used locally. Platform One is a gem of a nursery. The staff are so caring and friendly and take a genuine interest in the children. My two girls have always come home smiling, most days bringing home some artwork with them. The routine provides a really stable environment, the children are encouraged to be polite to staff and their peers, and they are certainly ready for school when it comes.

I can't recommend the nursery enough to any prospective parents, and I am so grateful to all of the staff for looking after my girls so well and giving them such a brilliant start in life.

I highly recommend Platform One Nursery. The staff have been above and beyond in making our daughter’s time at the nursery extremely happy. I was very impressed by the settling process, and communication from the nursery when our daughter was starting her journey with Platform One. I am always fully informed of her day-to-day progress, meals, activities and outside play.

The staff are long-standing members of the nursery, several have been at the nursery for over 15 years. They are incredible and obviously love their career with passion and dedication to the children. The outside play area is lovely with lots of different toys, a vegetable garden, a wooded play area and much more. My daughter especially enjoys the mud kitchen.

I could not be happier with the care and communication they always provide.

My two sons have both been attending Platform One since they were 6 - 7 months. They both have a fantastic time at nursery and the staff show a huge level of care.

I We have sent both our children to this nursery and are so happy we did. The staff are attentive, warm, and friendly and spend time chatting with us to make us feel relaxed. Both of our children have been so happy and settled at this nursery and we love it.

Excellent experience. The staff were excellent from the very start of our son's journey. They always have developmental activities for the children and specific learning goals for each individual. There is regular contact with the parents through a mobile application as well as a daily update. My son has developed very quickly and is always so excited to go to nursery. I am so glad we decided to send him here.

Platform One Nursery Ltd is a lovely nursery, my eldest daughter has attended since she was 1 (now 3) and my youngest started in February. The staff in both the baby and toddler room are brilliant and both girls settled really well and enjoy their time at nursery, which I think has a lot to do with the support and care of the staff. We are kept really well informed about what the children have been up to, in particular via their reports, which are so detailed and thoughtful. I would not hesitate to recommend the nursery to others!

Platform One is a lovely nursery. Our children really enjoy attending. The staff are excellent, professional and caring.

Our daughter attended the nursery for one year and she absolutely loved it. The staff were a massive support when she started and we always felt she was happy and safe when she was there. When she left, her little brother started in the baby room and he also had a great start. He is very happy. The staff always provides a lot of information on the activities the children are engaged in and the reports they provide are very detailed. The staff are absolutely incredible and so caring. They are always polite and so positive. The nursery is super friendly and clean and even though it is not very big, it is very organised and they use all the space efficiently. I couldn't recommend the nursery enough!

My 2 year old son really enjoys his time at nursery. The whole team are extremely friendly and nurturing. They show endless dedication, care and support for my son's wellbeing and development. The nursery has become an important integral part of my son's life and he really looks forward to attending on the days he is in.
