Leaving your child with someone else is one of the hardest parts of parenting, often accompanied by feelings of guilt. This is especially true when your little one isn't yet talking, and you want to be certain they're in safe and trusted hands. At this nursery, that's exactly what I've found. The manager
and three other specific staff members are just a few of the remarkable women who create such a nurturing and professional environment. It's a well-run, safe setting where children are encouraged to flourish and grow. Both the key workers and the nursery manager are approachable and hands-on, which makes such a difference. My daughter has blossomed into the most wonderful little human, and I couldn't be happier. I wholeheartedly recommend this nursery.

We couldn't be happier with the care and attention our son receives! !From the moment we first visited, we felt the warmth and professionalism of the staff. Every single member of the team goes above and beyond to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the children.
Our son has absolutely
thrived since starting here-his confidence has grown, his speech has developed incredibly well, and he comes home every day full of stories and excitement about what he learned and who he played with. The staff are truly passionate about what they do, and it shows in every detail-from the thoughtfully planned activities to the genuine connections they build with the children and their families.
Communication is excellent, and we always feel informed and involved in our son's development. Special thank you to one staff member in particular who loves our son so much! We are so thankful for her kindness and care!

When my daughter started to go this nursery she settled in really well and is always looking forward to going in. She's very comfortable to the place, her friends and most especially her teachers. They've got good atmosphere and kids have a lot of activities to choose from. I would highly recommend
this nursery to other parents.

This is a terrific day nursery that we would highly recommend. Our daughter was only there for a short while, but has fond memories, as do we. The manager is always available and so helpful and our little one's key worker was so caring and compassionate.

I have had a brilliant relationship with this nursery spanning just over 6 year and 2 children. I cannot recommend this nursery enough, from the amazing management to the caring and diligent staff. Over the years. The only sad thing for us is the kids have to leave when they start school age, they love
it so much, they would prefer to stay there. The meals are so fresh and prepared daily twice a day by the amazing chef who plans each week. Parents can see what their children will be eating that week when picking and dropping their children. They have a book system to ensure parents are kept up to date with their child and vice versa, I am now at the point with my second child and didn't really use it much after around 6 months of my 1st child, I do not need them to send the book home as I completely trust them with my child and know should there be a problem, I would always been informed in the correct manner regarding the urgency. I cannot fault the nursery at all.

I will never put my son in that nursery again!! Because... he is sadly too old now to go back to this amazing place! My son was at Maytime from the age of six months to 4 years old! He had his graduation in July 2024. Incredible nursery, they help the kids to grow to become kind and wise! We had to
change nursery because we moved but our son's behaviour started to degrade so we put him back in Maytime despite an hour of transport, it was the best decision for his development! Thank you Manager and team for taking such good care of my little boy!

Following my son's experience at the nursery over 2 years, I then sent my daughter who has equally thoroughly enjoyed her time there. Their teacher has had a considerable impact on both, the care, attention and teaching has been excellent. Both have come out of nursery writing their names and reading.
The manager does a great job of managing the nursery, keeping parents up to date, supportive and has been very understanding throughout. I would recommend this nursery above all others we've used.

I am so happy my son was part of Maytime Montessori Nursery. All of the staff were very friendly, and they helped him a lot with language to interact with other kids, place with them, make friends and be happy.

My son spent almost four years at Maytime Montessori Nursery. He was cared for fantastically over that time and also developed in several areas. The staff were always very attentive and interacted positively with my wife and I on all occasions. Now that he's left we can honestly say that we're going
to miss bringing him there but are confident that the years he's spent at Maytime have more than adequately prepared him for starting school in September.

We started sending our daughter to this nursery just before she turned 2 years old and she is now 4 years and 4 months. Our daughter has been going to this nursery full time and we have seen her develop day by day. The nursery is excellent with kids in all aspects whether it is from an educational perspective
or teaching them everyday skills that will help them as they get older. All the staff at the nursery are very caring and loving and extremely considerate. My daughter has thoroughly enjoyed her time at Maytime and does not want to leave and go to reception. Overall, an excellent establishment and special thanks to the manager and one other staff member in particular, for making my daughter feel so welcome and loved.

My son attended Maytime Montessori Nursery for some time, up until July 2023 as he will be starting school. From the very first day, staff were very warm and caring towards us, as a family, which made weaning in easier. Learning and watching my son develop into such a confident, happy child is amazing
and I can’t thank the staff enough for supporting this. All staff are approachable and always available during drop off and collection.
I highly recommend Maytime Nursery! Definitely a five-star rating in all areas from us, as a family.
We will miss everyone.

Absolutely amazing setting that helped my little one flourish from day one. He found it very difficult to settle away from me and the manager and staff at the nursery never lost patience with him (or me!) and supported us through to the point when he would go into nursery happy and excited and enjoy
his day. He’s learnt so much whilst there and is now sad he’s leaving for school (as am I) all the ladies that work there are brilliant and the nursery is very well managed. I knew it was the right place for us the moment I walked in, it was like a home from home for my little one. The nursery itself is clean and well laid out with a lovely garden area filled with great activities for the children.

We started sending him to this nursery when he was 1 year old. He started enjoying the nursery soon, from the 2nd week he started. He didn't even cry when going to nursery after about a month. All the staff and the manager are very caring and friendly. We are sad we have to leave the nursery because
we are moving to a new home.

Outstanding nursery. A safe and nurturing environment for my child. The teachers are attentive and caring. There are solid channels of communication between teachers and parents as feedback are always provided. The teachers/nursery manager encourages the uniqueness of each child's learning needs. My
child is always happy to be dropped off at the nursery.

My son started at Maytime Montessori Nursery only at the age of 10 months old. Being a first-time mum, it was one of my biggest fears but, at the same time, I knew I had no other choice for childcare. The baby room, headed by the nursery practitioner, is so exceptional. She gave me the comfort and reassurance
I needed to allow the perfect transition we needed. Now my son is 18 months old, I can write it down in words how much I appreciate the team. My son loves going to Maytime, he is fully himself and loves the team. The staff genuinely go far and beyond to do their very best to ensure all the children have the right amount of attention needed.
The team care for the children and build a lovely relationship with each child. My son comes back with new things he has learnt. I look forward to my son growing and learning here until he has to set off for his next stage of academia. The kids have varied snacks and lunches. The daily updates are very helpful.
The manager is a great team leader.

I cannot praise this nursery enough, my child has been attending here for 1 and a half years now. The staff have always cared and looked after my son amazingly. He has learned and gained excellent daily skills in such a short amount of time and still continues to. We have both maintained great relationships
with all staff and management and always kept upto date daily on my child's progress. My child is very happy attending this nursery and looks forward to each day there.

An absolutely amazing nursery that has become an extended part of the family. My son attended Maytime since he was one up until he started primary school and my daughter is currently at the nursery. The level of empathy, care and attention shown by the staff is outstanding. It is always difficult leaving
your children, especially when young, at a childcare provider but I can honestly say the staff at Maytime have made it so much easier. I can tell from the affection with which my children speak about the staff that they are happy and enjoy nursery.
The nursery manager is amazing and so are the staff members working in the different rooms. The learning at pre-school stage is also outstanding - when my son started reception he was ahead of what was expected from him.

From the first time I called to visit the nursery to the present, the nursery manager has been so helpful, informative and supportive. She has enabled me to learn and provide the support my child needs. The room leader and staff and especially the key person have been super friendly and take care of
my child to give me the peace of mind I needed when starting this journey. They were all so accommodating with settling in and this helped my child immensely. They give regular updates on my child's day and have helped with getting him the support he needs. We are looking forward to moving to preschool. The facilities are great in the toddler room with an outdoor space which allows children to play and learn. The food is varied and the staff are always happy and cheery.

Current Review Score: 8.9 (8.918)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.9 (8.918) out of 10 for Maytime Montessori Nursery (Eastwood Road) is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.889 for Maytime Montessori Nursery (Eastwood Road) is calculated as follows: ( (64 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 72 Ratings = 4.889
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.029 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Maytime Montessori Nursery (Eastwood Road) is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 70 number of registered child places is 14. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 14 = 0.429
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
