My daughter started in July 2020 aged 18 months. She is now 2 and 1 month and has flourished. She is given a great range of activities to do during the day, and I look forward to reading her daily report, and also seeing her beaming smile when I collect her.
I chose Busy Bees at mill Hill upon recommendation,
and I have in turn recommended the nursery to other friends who have sent their children. The teachers and staff are wonderful; they work extremely hard, especially in these uncertain times, and they never complain or falter. I feel completely at ease knowing that my daughter is well cared for.

My daughter has been enrolled in Busy Bees at Mill Hill since the tender age of 11 months. When she first started, she was going for two full days but - due to the first lockdown - this was interrupted for several months. When she started again, six months later, it was with a bit more trepidation and
so we stuck to half days.
The staff were absolutely fantastic at helping her to settle in and keeping us informed of what she was up to during the day. When she became attached to a different member of staff to her key worker - there was no problem with making the switch. Every member of the team was committed to supporting her development and wellbeing.
I particularly enjoy the multicultural approach the nursery takes. She has celebrated Christmas, Hanukkah, Diwali and Chinese New Year.
The communication from the centre director is fantastic and I always feel on top of what is happening in the nursery each week.
My daughter has a fantastic time each day.

We absolutely love Busy Bees at Mill Hill! The Manager and Centre Director are amazing, very professional and always have time to speak to parents about their little ones. My daughter started Busy Bees when she was 8 months old - it is my second child and we had a bit of a bumpy ride with my first one
and her journey through various nurseries and so naturally I was little nervous but from very first interaction over the phone with the Manager through seeing how my daughter is happy and looked after on daily basis, I see that Busy Bees is a cut above the rest! The Centre Director is always on it - knowing each child by his/her name, and making sure they are just happy and healthy - just like children should be. Due to Covid and various restrictions we were unable to fully meet the team but even socially-distanced 'hi-bye' with the members of the team (ladies from the actual kiddies rooms) makes you feel like they are here to help you, the extended family every mama needs.

Both of my children have attended this nursery for a combination of the last 5 years and I am so impressed with how things are being run during the pandemic. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Busy Bees to anyone.

I have a little girl at Busy Bees and she is excited to go every day. The staff are so warm and friendly! She always comes out smiling at the end of the day, for me this is the most important thing. My daughter learns something new every day and I believe is a good start for her! I would recommend the
nursery for all!

My eldest has been at the nursery for 2.5 years and over that time it’s gone from strength to strength, especially so in the last year. Sending both children back after the lockdown was an anxious time as a parent, but the staff were warm and welcoming and it was so much easier because of their hard
work and dedication to the children. Both children are very happy, settled and look forward to their days at nursery. The current team are simply fantastic, full of fun ideas and always available for a chat if needed. I’d certainly recommend Busy Bees Mill Hill to any prospective parent.

My child has attended Busy Bees Mill Hill for almost 3 years since she was 9 months old. I have found exemplary care in her welfare and nothing that gave me cause for alarm. The staff work very hard to make the nursery a great place for the children, giving them a good foundation of early years, teaching
and curriculum, but most importantly for me the care and attention that makes nursery a home away from home. If I could choose again I would choose Busy Bees.

My little boy settled in with ease at Busy Bees Mill Hill. He is welcomed every morning by such smiley, happy and caring staff which is such a comfort to a working, first-time mum.
He has made such excellent progress and I really enjoy reading about his day with a daily report. Covid hasn’t really
hindered our daily communication, and even our ‘parents evening’ took place on the phone.

I have two boys at Busy Bees and they are excited to go. Every time. My oldest had been there nearly 4 years, and my youngest, a year a half. The staff are what makes this place. The facilities have all been recently renovated, but even before, it feels like home for them. The staff are consistent (which
for me was a massive factor) brilliant people who all have great sense of humour and want the best for each individual child. Both of my children come home beaming from their days, even before they could communicate, with lots of artwork, activities and the feedback is brilliant. The staff are motivated, caring and absolutely brilliant.

I have been a Busy Bees parent for nearly three years, with my eldest currently in preschool and my youngest now in the 1-2 room. Both children have always loved going to nursery, with my eldest regularly saying she loves her friends and teachers. They always come out smiling at the end of the day!
All the adults are friendly, caring and really get to know the children. There is now a strong management team who really listen to parent feedback and continue to make improvements as needed. I feel my children’s development is well supported and my daughter is ready to start school in September. She is going to really miss Busy Bees!

My son has been going to Busy Bees for almost three years and we are really happy with the nursery.
It's had its ups and downs as do all nurseries and schools, however, the nursery has been transformed over the last 6 months.
There have been lots of refurbishments, a solid management team in place
and a big focus in making it the best possible place for the children.
All of the teachers are great, warm and loving to the children. My son runs in every morning and always has a smile on his face when he is picked up which for me is the most important thing. He has so many friends at the nursery and I have made lots of mum friends at the same time.
I'm really grateful to the nursery for having such a solid educational programme as well. My son learns something new every day and I believe he is in a really good place to start big school in September. We'll be really sad to say goodbye to the Busy Bees team.

My little girl started Busy Bees when she was 9 months old. Going back to work made that much easier knowing I was leaving her in such good care.

I have loved watching her develop and grow with each room she moves into. From the nursing environment of the baby room to the adventurers in 1-2's and

becoming more confident in 2-3. Each stage she loved and I have never worried about my daughter's care and love. What more could I ask for?!

Nurturing environment, with a personal touch. Everyone knows my son's name and after a relatively short adaptation period, he has made friends. We have noticed he is also eating better and pleased to hear he tries lots of different food.

The outside play area is excellent, especially during the

summer. In terms of activities, we are pleased that he does lots of care, which he brings home, and goes on bug trails outside.

Such a great nursery. Both my children started in the baby room where they were stimulated and cared for so well - great attention was paid to helping them sleep and keeping to their routines which was very important to me. Staff were so welcoming both to us and parents and the children. I had every
confidence in their care.
Now one of my children is in the 1-2s room and the other in the 2-3s room. The children are nurtured so well and are happy and confident to come to nursery.

The professionalism and patience the staff show is amazing and the rooms are always calm with all the children happy and engaged (an amazing feat considering the nature of toddlers)! What makes this nursery special is the professional and knowledgeable staff, who go above and beyond to develop the children in their care. The staff have an amazing trick of teaching the children, without them knowing they are learning and ensuring the teaching is led by the child's interests. A lovely nursery!

My daughter loves nursery, all the staff are so warm and friendly, they always go above and beyond with the children and take the time out to speak and get to know parents. She has thrived since being here, she started at 10months old and is leaving for school in September, she will miss nursery dearly
and all the lovely staff.
Highly recommend this nursery.

My daughter loves this place, she has got some very good friends now and every morning she gets excited to go to nursery. The staff are excellent and very caring and so is the management. The only thing I would like them to improve upon is the learning, she is now in pre-school but they rarely learn
new things. When I compare her learnings to the previous nursery, she used to learn a lot there, letters, words, numbers, rhymes, new stories and about space and planets - I feel there should be something like this for pre-schoolers here as well.
I have never seen my daughter this happy before, sometimes when I pick her up earlier than usual she feels sad as she wants to play more and stay with her friends - which is quite surprising as she used to be a girl who always wanted to cling onto mommy and always used to cry when I dropped her off at nursery. Personality wise, this nursery has made so many improvements in my daughter in the course of just 10 months and that's what makes us happy and satisfied.

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.350)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.350) out of 10 for Busy Bees Mill Hill is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 11 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.5 out of 5 from 11 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.870 for Busy Bees Mill Hill is calculated as follows: ( (115 Excellents x 5) + (15 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 131 Ratings = 4.87
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.48 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Mill Hill is based on 11 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 = 3.775
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 78 number of registered child places is 15.6. 11 Positive Reviews ÷ 15.6 = 0.705
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
