Little Garden The New Barnet Day Nursery & Pre-School

I would like to say how amazing thus nursery is. I have 3 children and this place has by far been the best. Elijah loves everyone here and I couldn't be happier.

My son has come on leaps and bounds since starting at The New Barnet Nursery. He has so much fun learning and playing and loves the staff. Everyone involved in the baby room makes him and us as parents feel welcome and part of a bigger family. They are friendly and caring and always there with a smile.

I feel really happy sending my son here. I can tell the workers here really care about the children, they are fed well (better than me!) and the key workers really give their time after work to make sure we know what our child got up to. Cute homework assignments. Would recommend!

My daughter started at the New Barnet Day Nursery at the beginning of August (in the baby room) and I could not be happier with our experience so far. The team really helped my little one settle quickly and she is really enjoying her days at nursery, she goes in happy and smiling and comes out happy and smiling - I did not think it would be possible to achieve this in such a short space of time!! There are a lot of nursery in the area but I'm very very glad I chose this one!!

Our son loves his nursery, delighted to arrive in the morning and not wanting to leave in the evening, what more could you want? He has developed leaps and bounds over the past year, and this is clearly down to the care, attention and dedication of all the team at nursery. Knowing he is safe and happy means we can leave him without any guilt or trepidation, which is all we could ask for

The staff are lovely. My son enjoys going to the setting and we receive lots of photos and updates each day. I feel like the management has now improved and the activities seem appropriate for my child's age

My two grandchildren have attended New Barnet for over 2 years. Whenever I drop in they are always happy to go and see their friends and their favourite staff members! They both have thrived at Barnet and things like their speech have improved so much. We are so appreciative of the team and all the hard work they put in. If you like your children to get outside and experience lots of new things then New Barnet is the perfect place.

My little man has been going to the nursery for approx 6 months now and everything from his confidence and happiness, to his eating habits and speech have continuously improved. I just wish we had found this place sooner!

We haven't officially started yet but have had 3 weeks of settling in days. The staff were always very responsive in the lead-up and flexible in offering the support my daughter needed before she started. We are excited to see what happens when my daughter starts full time.

Head Start has helped my son's transition run smoothly, he loves all the staff at Head Start and comes in with a smile as well as leaving with one. Head Start are an outstanding nursery who make children's happiness their number one priority.

My two children are both at Head Start Barnet. They have recently had a refurbishment of the garden and they have said they are going to do a lot more which is great. My children are extremely happy, my son is thriving in the baby room and I am very happy with the new management so far.

Our son is very happy here. His key workers seem attentive and have formed a strong relationship with him. They have pushed forward his learning in all the key academic areas such as math and language, as well as socially. The staff have helped come up with plans to work on behaviour problems when they occur, which has really worked to help him grow kinder and gentler. Their communication about what he's learning is regular, thorough and he loves sitting down at the end of the day to see the photos they've taken. I have had three children attend Head Start Day Nursery Barnet for the last seven years, having looked at competing nurseries in the Barnet area, I am happy to have selected Head Start Day Nursery Barnet. The staff are great and at the end of the day that is what matters, so you know that your children are being well looked after, fed and entertained. Meaning that when you pick them up they are shattered but happy at the end of the day. You can always find a place with more rooms, purpose built or with a bigger garden. However, Head Start Day Nursery Barnet use the space they have effectively and they have crucially key people that care and care passionately about child care. As a parent you know when your child is happy and I have no hesitation in recommending Head Start Day Nursery Barnet to anyone looking.

Having put my older son, now seven through Head Start Day Nursery Barnet and I am still so happy with the care and education that my daughter receives! All the staff are always smiling and welcoming, no question is too big! Both my children loved going there and learnt so much socially to prepare them for school! Being a key worker, I found the nursery extremely supportive to me and my child through both lockdowns. I felt assured my child was safe continuously, a lovely nursery and great first step!
