Get so many updates via the app everyday including some pictures which makes me feel so much more at ease when my 1yr old is there as it is new for us both.
Love the fact the food is freshly prepared and cooked on site each day and the variety offered.
Would highly recommend this nursery to anyone and everyone.

The nursery has cared for both of my sons over the last three years, and we've had such a positive experience. My eldest spent two years at the nursery and absolutely loved his time there. The staff were incredibly supportive, especially with potty training and his early learning and development.
The activities are fantastic, and both of my boys have grown into confident little explorers. The staff are lovely, caring, and attentive, and they have genuinely played a huge part in supporting my children's development. I couldn't recommend them enough.

We chose Clever Cloggs for its family feel environment and our daughter has settled in so well. This is purely down to the wonderful staff. They are so warm, friendly and engaging and our daughter talks so fondly of them all at home. She has come on leaps and bounds with her overall development. I can't recommend this nursery enough.

We absolutely love Clever Cloggs. Our oldest son left in August to go to big school and our little one joined around the same time in the baby room and he's now in toddler room. All the staff are wonderful, kind and treat the kids so well. All the kids seem so happy and my boys certainly are. You get updates throughout the day and a lovely handover at the end of the day from the child's key worker. I can't recommend it enough!

They have thoughtfully and creatively cared for my little one for the past 12 months. They have been really sensitive, helpful and kind to us since settling down period to potty training. Very approachable and responsive staff and manager. I could not recommend this nursery enough even for first-time parents like me. It was a very good experience.

This is a lovely nursery with a relaxed, family feel. We have two children there, one in the baby room and one in preschool, and they both absolutely love it. The staff care for the children and go out of their way to engage them in activities that actually meet their interests. The outside areas are amazing, pretty much unmatched in other nurseries nearby, and they spend lots of time outside which is so beneficial for children.
You have summed us up - a family-run nursery with over 1/3 of an acre! We will miss your pre-schooler when he leaves.
My son was delayed for his age and non-verbal when he started Clever Cloggs and now has a huge range of vocabulary, he is always happy to attend and often speaks about the staff and peers.
It's good that as parents we get to track what our children are up to during the day using the app, we can see what they've eaten - which is always a wide variety of healthy options and they're very respectful of our choices for our children with regards to food, etc.
I feel sad that my son will leave this nursery and head to primary school next year as I don't think the same care and support will be matched.
The staff are lovely and so sweet. Management always gets back to you with any queries and always provides you with details you may need.
Overall I would give it 10 stars if I could and recommend it to everyone!

What I love best about this setting is that there is a real family, home-from-home feel. There is a very low staff turnover with some of the staff being there since the nursery first opened. Another big plus is that every room has its own garden, my son loves digging in the mud and going on big hunts. My son is very independent and I feel the nursery has played a big part in his development.
Our aim is and will always be promoting a secure home-from-home feel, and you are right the staff are committed and fantastic and stay forever!
Parent interaction through the app is great and we love receiving regular updates and photos of the activities throughout the day and of the general games.

My child has been thriving in confidence and knowledge for the past 3 years at Clever Gloggs and she is more than ready to start reception. She loves her key workers just like family members and her love is reciprocated.
The children are encouraged to express themselves and become independent quite early, they also learn new words daily and use them in their conversations. The nursery follows an early years foundation and as the children grow you can see that they are confident in counting and discussing a book for example. Kids are also exposed to a lot of messy and outdoor play which boosts their development and love of nature and is a good use of their energy.
The nursery is doing its best to use the space, and sometimes reorganize the furniture to give kids new areas of interest and make the space comfortable.
Meals are prepared from scratch and varied, Super-hero soup and mac and cheese are favorites.

I get daily updates of my little one in a variety of settings doing a variety of activities, and he seems to enjoy his time there in the baby/toddler room.
Parking for drop off and pick up has never been a problem, and the proximity to the train station is very handy.
I have had such a good experience that I have already signed up my next baby for next year.

The staff are so caring, supportive, and great with the kids. I can tell that they genuinely care and want to see the kids develop and grow. It has a real family feel and they do lots of fun and educational things.
The gardens are lovely. On one side there is a grassed area with a mini forest. The other side has pavement for the older kids to ride about upon.

Sending our children to Clever Cloggs was the best decision we've ever made. They have helped and supported my children more than we could ever have imagined. A fantastic nursery is a home away from home for the children. I have two children at Clevercloggs and wouldn't have them go anywhere else. Both my children have always been so happy there. We are looking forward to increasing our days in September.

Both of my children have attended this nursery since they were babies and my daughter is just coming to the end of her time here. The manager and all of the staff have shown them both so much love, care, and attention. The nursery has amazing outside spaces and the staff go above and beyond to arrange fun and engaging activities for the children. The food menu is good with a great variety of dishes. Clever Cloggs Childcare is an outstanding nursery. My son loved his time there; the carers are caring, lovely and take care of the children very well. We never had any problems. The owner runs the nursery very well. This is the safe place for your child; the pick-up and drop-offs are very easy. The nursery is very well-equipped, with lots of games, books and garden toys, which all the children use and play nicely together. The members of staff have hardly changed, which speaks volumes. The garden space is amazing for kids; they also grow vegetables in the garden, which is amazing for the kids. We will miss the nursery and the staff very much.

My son just 'graduated' from Clever Cloggs after attending for two years. My husband and I were incredibly pleased with our choice of nursery, and our son really thrived in this environment after a big change from a different city. If what you want for your child is creative play, social learning, a large outdoor space, and staff who take the time to get to know your child and communicate with you about them, then I cannot recommend them strongly enough. Additionally, they were incredibly flexible when we needed extra care at short notice.

Meet the Team (15)
Lucy joined Clevercloggs as an apprentice shortly after the nursery opened and is currently the Assistant Manager.
Lucy is first aid trained and has worked at the nursery since 2010.
Mary had a child who attended Clevercloggs and joined the team whilst her child was still attending, Mary has worked in a variety of settings and has experience working 1:1 with children with additional needs Mary joined the Clevercloggs family in 2014, Mary is a First Aid trained.
Katy has worked in a variety of settings. She has experience in all ages and has worked in residential settings. Katy is the Deputy Manager, Katy is also one of our Safeguarding officers and SENCO, Katy joined in 2015.
Lucy was previously a nanny for three years before she joined us to work in the baby room, Lucy joined in 2010 and is First Aid Trained.
Siobhan has worked in a variety of settings including 1:1 with a child with additional needs in a school she joined in 2011 and is First Aid Trained.
Casey joined as an apprentice and is now one of our Deputy Managers she has worked in all rooms and has experience in dealing with complicated safeguarding cases. Casey also facilitates Spanish lessons in preschool. She has been with us since 2010, Casey is also First Aid Trained.
Sonya joined the team after working in a variety of settings and has a wealth of experience including with children with severe allergies. Sonya joined us in 2019 and is also First Aid Trained.
Hannah joined the staff team after completing work experience with us to commence an apprenticeship, Hannah has worked in all rooms and has now completed her level 3 (all staff unless otherwise stated are either level 3 or working towards it) Hannah is First Aid Trained and joined us in 2020.
Phoebe has spent time in all rooms and is now based in Preschool, Phoebe joined as an apprentice in 2021 she is First Aid Trained.
Amelia has spent time in all rooms and is now based in the Baby Room, Amelia is first aid trained and joined us in 2021.
Amara is based in the preschool room to gain experience and complete her NVQ level 2 in Childcare and Education, she is First Aid Trained.
Rosie joined the nursery as an apprentice when it first opened. She has a vast amount of experience with ADHD, and Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Rosie works in all rooms supporting staff. and children. Rosie is First Aid Trained and joined the nursery on opening in 2007.
Jordan is the cook/housekeeper. Jordan has achieved qualifications in a variety of dietary requirement courses and is able to facilitate food catering for all dietary requirements. Jordan joined in 2021.
Bryony has over 20 years of experience from Nurseries, to creches to nannying. Beth has over 18 years of experience in nurseries and after-school clubs. Beth completed her apprenticeship under Chloe’s management in a previous setting. Bryony and Beth are cover staff who have worked at the nursery since it first opened. They are both First Aid Trained
Saiya first joined the nursery in 2017, during COVID she left to gain experience in a different setting, returning to Clevercloggs in 2023, Saiya works in the toddler room and is First Aid Trained.
