Buttercups Syon Park combines Montessori and Forest School in a beautiful setting with a wrap-around garden. As with all Buttercups nurseries, Syon Park focuses on "learning through play" where the child's natural curiosity drives their learning. They also believe in the importance of nature and time outside.

Buttercups Syon Park has separate rooms for different age groups and a quiet sleep room. Preschool children enjoy the dedicated Montessori classroom where qualified Montessori teachers guide them in independent learning. Forest School sessions take place in the on-site forest area where children are taught to use tools, build dens and learn about nature.

The nursery is very proud of their team of educators. At Buttercups they believe that a well-cared for team results is well-cared for children, so they are committed to making sure staff feel supported, rewarded and challenged. They continually develop the skills and qualifications of the team through extensive in-house training programmes and external courses.

My children love going to nursery, they wake up excited when they know they are going to nursery. The staff have been very supportive and keep us informed of the progress our children have made. We get weekly emailed updates of the children's activities during the week.

My daughter has been attending this nursery since she was 9 months old. She adored all the early setting teachers and was very sad when, due to the 1st lockdown, upon returning she went into over 2's - we all felt like we missed out on saying goodbye! She has settled in brilliantly to her new class
and the teachers have been fantastic in what is a very challenging situation for everyone. I’m glad that they have managed to stay open and not had any cases, so they are clearly working very hard on sanitation (behind the big wall!). Thank you very much for taking such care of my daughter.

Buttercups at Syon Park has been great both before and during the current climate for my daughter, seeing her excited to attend this nursery is what it’s all about for me. We have tried a few childminders and nurseries in the area and Buttercups at Syon are by far the best. They are a forest school so spend a lot of time outside (even in the rain in their waterproofs). They do so many activities all day - painting, reading, singing, creating art in all different ways
(I didn't even know myself possible). They constantly educate kids about colours, shapes, numbers, talking to them and explaining things around them - my daughter started saying please and thank you after the first week there (which I didn't teach her as we speak a different language at home). The teachers are kind and enthusiastic, the manager is the most efficient, responsive and creative. The food is healthy and delicious (never expected my daughter to eat 100% every time as she is quite picky at home). The weekly reports we get as parents are very cool - always looking forward to reading what my daughter did and say that week. Highly recommend this place.

Our two children look forward to nursery and talk about the fun time they've had there. It's clear they enjoy it.
The staff are very caring and supportive, particularly in encouraging use of potty/toilet.
The nursery has managed Covid restrictions as well as they can, finding innovative ways to stay
connected with parents.

The staff I have met have been friendly and responded positively to most of my feedback and requests. As I am still not allowed past the entrance gate, nursery feels a bit like a black box as on most days all I am told is that my daughter was fine. I have not met the teachers who look after my daughter
and don't receive personal feedback from her keyworker who I only saw at settling in. Food on daily forms is also not updated and so I don't know what my daughter has eaten. The manager is professional and has always responded very clearly and positively to all my queries and concerns. She was particularly good when my daughter was scratched by another child.

My baby girl loves the nursery and all the teachers, especially one. My little one missed everyone during the lockdown and you can't imagine her face on her first day back. She was over the moon. I could not be happier with Buttercups. The environment is super positive, a very large yard, it is safe and the staff has been sharing the details about my kid's development on a daily basis. From day 1, I had the confidence we've made the right choices. They are creative and propose different activities
so kids learn, explore and build their confidence with joy. It's been three months since my son joined this nursery and it is visible that he's learning, confident, happy and developing social skills. Kudos to the entire staff, it is really a great place.

Great daily feedback, staff are always helpful. I can see a big difference in my daughter's development. She is two and her speech is really good. She enjoys playing with her peers. Consultations are really good so I can track progress. It will be nice if there were cameras so I can tap in to see my
daughter's development. Also, it would be nice to park outside nursery. Overall, I love the nursery and all the staff are friendly. 10 out of 10.

They have a big, beautiful garden and the children spend much time outside. There are flowers and small trees were planted last year but there still is enough space for a slide, sandpit, construction area and much more. Children have picnics and a pool during summer. The staff is very friendly. There
are musical, language, sport and computer classes. Children have a lot of cooking and art activities and we have our own little art gallery in your house now. My daughter is 2 now and she has been here over a year. Highly recommend!

My daughter has only been going to this nursery for a few months and I have seen a wonderful difference in her. She loves very much the nursery and especially her key worker who is a very warm-hearted person and offers a lot of cuddles to every child in her group. The manager is very approachable and
is always willing to help and make compromises. We receive great feedback at the end of the day and the staff are always happy to answer any questions we may have.


Thank you for the care you provide for my daughter and for the extra miles done for us. This is a great nursery and I would highly recommend it!

Buttercups is a lovely nursery and my son loves attending. He is always excited to go to nursery in the morning to see his teachers and friends. A lot of fun stimulating activities for the children to do and choose from. Care given is very good from staff and I have no worries leaving my son at buttercups.

My 2-year-old started at Buttercups at Syon Park a few months back. We could not be happier with the care and support given by the staff. The staff made sure my son ate well - he is an extremely slow eater. They even ensured he was always ahead in his reading/writing skills. They taught him to hold
the pencil correctly, even before we knew it. I would strongly recommend the nursery to everyone looking for quality childcare.

Outdoor space perfect to explore and learn, food prepared on site loads of veggies and variety of flavours. Play ideas great with hands-on cooking, singing, play dough and loads of garden time no matter the weather. Children in contacts with nature. Access to ICT and sports club is a bonus, most staff
are caring. Ideally, it would be more stable, although I have seen improvement from 2012 when my elder child attended nursery.

My children have been coming to Buttercups nursery at Syon Park for 7 years. It is a beautiful nursery with a very big outdoor space and in the middle of a park, far away from busy polluted roads.
The staff have always been very friendly, always smiling and have taught my kids a great deal setting
them up with a great advantage when they started school. Most importantly, my kids have always enjoyed the nursery and been happy there.
