Bright Horizons Beacon Road Day Nursery

My daughter has been at the nursery and pre-school here since she was 1. We have loved the experience and confidence our daughter has gained from attending. Such care and attention to detail is given from the staff. The staff are what make the pre-school wonderful and a pleasure for our daughter!

My daughter started preschool in 2023 and I have witnessed remarkable progress in her English language skills since then. The improvement in her vocabulary, confidence and communication has been truly impressive. She has also made wonderful friends at the preschool which has helped her develop socially and emotionally. The nurturing and supportive environment has made her feel happy and comfortable and it's evident that she genuinely enjoys her time there. I am very pleased with her experience so far and grateful for the dedicated staff who contribute to her growth and well-being.

We would highly recommend Bright Horizons Beacon Road Day Nursery. The care our son received has been excellent - the staff are all friendly and caring, the food is superb and the activities are stimulating.

Lovely nursery with amazing and imaginative staff. Newly refurbished building with lots of new toys. My daughter really thrived there. The management is committed to the kids' wellbeing and happiness and works really hard to provide the best service possible. The garden inside is small but kids go to the large garden in the nursery across the road every day, learning skills as they go e.g. crossing roads.

Our son has been at the Bright Horizons Beacon Road Preschool and linked Maythorne Cottages site since he was 1 (he's now 4.5 years). We have been so pleased and impressed with the care and attention he's received there and feel really lucky to have found such a lovely nursery. The carers are really consistent and there is less staff turnover than we've seen at other nurseries, which is really stabilising for the children. The inside space is really well set up with lots of different activities for the children and a setting that appropriately resembles what they will see at school.

The garden is small, but has nice things in it and is well shaded. They also do trips out and go to the garden across the road in the other nursery.

Our son has been attending for over a year and loves going into nursery. He even talks about it on the days that he doesn't attend. The staff are very caring and the food options are great and nutritious.

Our son started at nursery during lockdown. We have been extremely happy with the care and support he receives on a daily basis. The staff are always helpful and happy to take the extra time to share more about my son's day and give more insight into his activities as we are not allowed to enter for safety reasons. My son always comes home happy and tired!

We're so pleased we chose to send our daughter here. She absolutely loves it and we've seen her develop so much since she started six months ago. The staff have handled the current situation really well and even though we can't go in or spend lots of time at the entrance, they always make sure to tell us what she did that day and how she's been. I was worried about her starting at nursery but seeing her run to the staff in the morning and how happy she is has put me at ease.

My son started at Bright Horizons Beacon Road Day Nursery when he was ten months old and the staff have become like a second family to him. Like most 2020 babies my son has had limited interactions with family and friends, so we are delighted at how excited he is about going to nursery. It's really difficult not being able to go in to the nursery but you can tell how much he loves it by the smiles he gives at the drop off and how confidently he walks in to the nursery in the morning, more often than not now without even looking back! It is great seeing what he has got up to in the newsletters, particularly now with the Bright Beginnings Curriculum and we love when he comes home with his painting and crafts. All the staff are friendly and you can tell how great they are by the way all the children react when they see them at the door, irrelevant to whether they are the link worker or not. My son has thrived since joining and we can both confidently focus on work, knowing he is in a happy and safe environment.

Our son started nursery in January after being at home throughout the other lockdowns. Straight away we felt really happy with the nursery, even though we were unable to see it because of restrictions! All the staff are so lovely whenever they come to the door, they are always so happy. Our son settled in really quickly and he's always so excited to get there in the morning. It's lovely knowing that he's happy and they are always doing so many fun activities! A massive thank you to all the staff here.

As a teacher, I understand first hand how draining this past year has been, especially during this current lockdown where primary and secondary schools are shut, yet nurseries remain open. It must be really difficult but every single staff member I encounter had been absolutely lovely. They always have a smile on their faces, it's a pleasure to see them every day. I can see all of the staff here know him really well and that is really important to me. I'm so grateful to be able to drop him off knowing he is in safe hands and will have a fun day.

My daughter was welcomed to this nursery with open arms. The nursery has a great play area and their days are full of fun games. I love the use of the EY logs app, this provides me with pictures of my little one and a daily log of what she ate, did, sleep time and nappy info. My daughter has thrived and I am left with little to worry about when I am at work. Highly recommended.
