TTN was our top choice from the start. We were drawn to the natural environment, wooden toys, and the cosy atmosphere, which felt nurturing rather than overwhelming. The child-led learning they follow was important to us, and it's clear that each child's personality and developmental needs are understood
and supported.
We have clear and reassuring handovers at drop-off and pick-up. Any concerns are discussed sensitively, with a clear plan and parents fully involved in it.
The nursery creates a wonderful sense of community through extra activities such as Christmas raffles, Valentine's disco events, and celebrating a range of festivals. We also value that our child is encouraged to explore outdoors, get messy in the garden, and learn through hands-on experiences.
Most importantly, our child is happy. He smiles when he sees his educators and goes in confidently, which shows us he feels safe with them. We are grateful for the cafe and dedication shown by the team.

We couldn't be happier with Thames Tiddlers. The staff are all so supportive, welcoming and genuinely caring - it's such a lovely environment and our daughter absolutely loves going.
They're also incredibly imaginative with the activities they plan. Recently the children even went on a trip to the
local green grocers, which was such a brilliant experience and a great way to help them learn in a fun, hands-on way.
It's clear how much thought and effort goes into everything they do, and we feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful nursery. Highly recommend!

I have two children currently at Thames Tiddlers.
They have been there since they were babies.
We have had a fantastic experience at the nursery.
All the staff are very caring.
There are varied, stimulating and interesting activities including forest school, outdoor learning, music, ballet classes
etc etc.
I highly recommend the nursery.
Reply from Rachel Robertson, Nursery Manager and Company Director at Thames Tiddlers NurseryThank you so much for your recommendation. It's been a joy to care for both of your children and watch them grow with us. Thank you for your review.

I am always in awe of how personalised and attentive my son's care is, his primary worker knows him inside out but so do the other staff who look after the kids with so much care to their individual needs and interests. We really enjoy getting the regular long updates about his development and feel
they are very complementary to how we educate him at home. Also with transitions and changes, I have seen and grown trust that the staff take care to align very well with parents and the home environment so there is little to no confusion for the child.
Relationships are very important to us and it is so heartwarming to see him develop close bonds with his peers, and how the nursery team nurture these relationships to grow healthy. They have such wonderful friendships at such a young age and it's completely due to the nursery culture!
Reply from Rachel Robertson, Nursery Manager and Company Director at Thames Tiddlers NurseryThank you for such kind words. We're so proud of the strong relationships built here and love working closely with families to support each child's individual journey. Thank you for taking the time to give us such a wonderful review.

I am the mother of a toddler who currently attends Thames Tiddlers Nursery, and I also have a school-aged child who previously attended. We truly love the nursery. Our children have enjoyed their time there, forming lasting friendships while developing and growing in all areas.
Beyond the beautiful
setting and the Emilia Romagna approach, which we value highly, I especially appreciate the effort the staff put into creating meaningful experiences for families-such as gallery nights, Mother's and Father's Day afternoons-and engaging activities for the children, like baby ballet.
The staff are consistently supportive and attentive to families' needs. When our son required extra support while learning to walk, the TT team immediately collaborated with external physiotherapists to accommodate and support his development.
We have just over a year left before finishing pre-school, and I am certain it will be an emotional day when we have to say our final goodbye to TT & their wonderful staff!
Reply from Rachel Robertson, Nursery Manager and Company Director at Thames Tiddlers NurseryThank you for such thoughtful words. It's been a privilege to support your family and watch your children grow with us, I will ensure I pass all of your lovely comments over to all our educators at TTN

My daughter has attended Thames Tiddlers nursery since she was 9 months. She is now 4 years and attending preschool. She has been always very happy to go to nursery and comes back home exited to tell us about her day and all the things she has experienced and learnt. The staff are friendly and very
dedicated and we couldn't be more grateful to them too look after our daughter.
As a full time working parent it is important that you have a friendly and trust worthy childcare team to feel comfortable and able to go to work , knowing that your child is safe and supported. I feel we have that at Thames Tiddlers.

Thames Tiddlers Nursery is a place filled with love and care. My son started to go there when he was 2 years old. He is learning and experiencing all kinds of new things every week and he loves it. The meals and snacks are varied and he tries different kinds of food. Staff and the management are very
friendly. I'm happy that I chose Thames Tiddlers Nursery for my child.

We couldn't be happier with Thames Tiddlers. All of the staff are incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring. Any queries we have are always answered quickly, which gives us great peace of mind.
My son is in the baby room and absolutely loves it there. He has learned so much in such a short space
of time, and it really shows. Every morning he's desperate to go in and walks straight through the door without even looking back, which says it all.
The variety of food is fantastic, and he's been able to try so many new things, which we love. The monthly reports are also great, as they give us a lovely insight into what he's been getting up to and how he's developing over the past month.
We feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful, nurturing environment for him and would highly recommend Thames Tiddlers to any parent.

Thank you Thames Tiddlers Nursery!
Our children have all settled in quickly (our son went first, now the twins) and they always come home excited to tell us about their day.
The staff are warm, attentive, and really get to know the children as individuals, which has helped our little ones to feel
secure and confident.
The nursery balances play and learning beautifully - there's a lovely mix of creative activities, outdoor time, and opportunities to explore and develop new skills.
As self-aware helicopter parents, we've also been impressed by how well they communicate with us about progress and daily experiences.
It's clear our children are happy, safe, and thriving.
We always recommend Thames Tiddlers to other local parents looking for caring, high-quality childcare - we love the whole team, and are only sad that we will have to say goodbye when the kids move on to school next year.
We will be coming back for summer club though!!

My son has grown in confidence and learnt new skills during his years at Thames Tiddlers. As a baby, he settled quickly. As a toddler, his needs were gently and considerately met. As a pre-schooler, he comes home full of facts about the world around him, clutching artwork or talking about his friends.
The staff are always warm, friendly and responsive to parent feedback. It was the right choice to send him there, and we hope to do the same for our second child.

Our second child is in pre-school at Thames Tiddlers and we love it just as much as we did in 2020 when our eldest started there. At the moment my pre-schooler has a KinderGarden session every Monday, and recently went on a trip to the level crossing in Charlton as well as going on the Woolwich Ferry.
The children on the trip all had a wonderful time and the staff were just brilliant as always, it was a pleasure to see them all playing together and to see how much they love spending time with each other and the staff. Our third child will be enrolled soon too!

Thames Tiddlers has been an oasis for my daughter and a boon for the community. Maybe that's a little hyperbolic but there's nothing better than rocking up for pick-up and marvelling at the absolute state she's in. Nothing but laughs and smiles, clothes painting a story of the day she has had and with
stories about her day (in between asking where her mother is and if I've brought snacks!) at nursery and what she'd been up to.
From spending time reading, to playing outside in the mud kitchen and running riot with her friends, every day comes replete with adventure. The educators do an amazing job with meeting the sometimes complex needs of the children, respecting and championing their individuality but applying boundaries to their experience within the setting.
We're expecting our second very soon and will be looking to find a place for them too because of how much our daughter has benefited from their setting and developed as a person.
Reply from Rachel Robertson, Nursery Manager and Company Director at Thames Tiddlers NurseryWow such a lovely review and we are so pleased that you and your family continue to have a great experience at TTN. All of your kind words will be passed over to our educators and managers at TTN.

My eldest son attended Thames Tiddlers in Pre-School for a year before he started primary school. They were brilliant throughout that time. Communication was always excellent (shout out to the deputy manager for that!). His induction days were well-organised and settled him in nicely. His key worker
was fantastic and is beloved by the children there. The curriculum is fab, with lots of play but also working on writing and other skills. He came on loads, which was seen in the graduation evening, where the displays of children's work was excellent. The site is also brilliant, with the outdoor area in particular being fantastic for little ones. All the staff are very friendly and caring. The community of other parents is also a real joy.
Overall, Thames Tiddlers got my son ready for primary school so well, it massively helped with his transition. In fact, we are so impressed we're hoping to send our younger son there later this year!

Our daughter has been attending Thames Tiddlers since she was 10 months old, and we couldn't be happier. The educators are warm, friendly, and genuinely caring. They create a nurturing environment where our daughter has thrived.
She settled in very quickly, which was a huge reassurance for us and
it's clear she feels happy and secure there. Handovers are always thorough, and we receive detailed information about her day, including meals, naps, and activities. Her educators also provide regular reports and photos, which are lovely to receive and give us great insight into her development. Communication is excellent, and we always feel well informed.
It's a safe, engaging, and welcoming setting. Our daughter absolutely loves going to nursery.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.928)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.928) out of 10 for Thames Tiddlers Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 22 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.928 for Thames Tiddlers Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (247 Excellents x 5) + (15 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 264 Ratings = 4.928
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Thames Tiddlers Nursery is based on 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 42 number of registered child places is 8.4, which has been reached with 22 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
