Step by Step Day Nursery

My son has been attending Step by Step since he was 10-months-old, and we were initially concerned about how the transition would be from lockdown to nursery, but the Step by Step team was fantastic from day 1 at settling him in, reassuring us as parents, and helping him to thrive. Our son has grown into a confident and happy toddler, and I know his nursery experience has played a big role in that. They provide daily notes on his day, now that the weather is better, he gets regular time outdoors, and does lots of sensory and messy play. He’s excited to go to nursery every day, and it’s so brilliant to see the bond he has with the Step by Step team, especially his key worker. We have never doubted that he is cared for and valued.

Both my kids have been at Step by Step since they were 8-months, my eldest is now 4, and I couldn’t be happier with our experience of this nursery. My kids have learnt so much from Maths to French to Writing, but most importantly, they are always excited to go in the morning. They love the staff and have made lots of friends. When they started in the baby room, I always felt comfortable and confident that they were safe and cared for lovingly, and now they are older, they are so confident. Thank you, Step by Step!

I have had my eight-month-old in here for one month, and I am happy to see he is very well looked after. He is happy going there, and the staff has always informed me of anything happening to him during the day, and they have given me good advice in order to encourage his development. His key worker is really supportive, and she has encouraged him to be involved in different activities, as well as to interact with other babies and staff members. Just another personal note to add, they are really lovely and above all, you can see they care for the children and babies attending the nursery. Very inclusive, clean, well equipped and excellent proactive trained staff. Also, you can see they support each other to give the best to the toddlers and babies. Highly recommended.

I could not be happier with our experience of this nursery. My child has been here for a year since they were 8-months and I have never once worried about them. They love coming and I completely trust the staff. The staff are nurturing and attentive, and they are clearly great teachers. Somehow the staff always have time (and energy) to run through how the day has gone - they are very passionate! I could not recommend 'Step by Step' more.

I have two children at the nursery. My priority for them is that they are happy and well cared for in a safe, welcoming, fun, learning environment. Step by Step ticks all the boxes for me. My children happily walk off into their rooms in the morning! The staff are lovely! They're dedicated, hardworking and do a fantastic job, especially working throughout the pandemic. I receive regular emails with helpful information and ideas for activities to try at home. The nursery uses the website/app to record children's development so parents can see what their children have been doing at nursery. And you can also see videos and pictures on Facebook or Instagram. The only thing I would change if I could is access to their outdoor space, but from my understanding, that is a shared space and isn't within the nursery's control.

I can’t recommend this nursery enough!

This is a fantastic nursery. Since my son and daughter have been attending and have seen a lot of improvement in them both in English speaking and writing. The staff are so caring and friendly. They constantly send an update about the children's performance at school. My kids are happy going to the nursery, and I'm also glad I made the right choice.

Relatively good quality food. Good safe play areas with a good playground and safe environment. Good locks and doors with additional gates. I am happy with the learning standard.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough. They made my daughter feel at home and her developmental process improved. She is a happy toddler and I am a happy mum.

This nursery is fantastic. Both my children have attended Step by Step Day Nursery and would like to say how great it is. The children gain so many different skills and the level of care is second to none. The staff tailor different activities for the children to help in their overall development. I would highly recommend this nursery and feel that the nursery gave both my daughter's the foundation and skills they needed before they started school.

I recommend this nursery to anyone looking for somewhere for their children! Big thumbs up!
