Greenwood Nursery is located in the leafy area of Wandsworth, right beside King George's Park. The nursery caters for children aged between 18 months and 5 years for full and sessional day care between 7:30am and 6pm.

The site includes a fully enclosed playground and garden as well as a unique onsite Forest School that can take up to 25 children! On top of this the children get access to the football pitches and sports hall within the Wandle Recreation Centre where the school is located.

The nursery operates under the Greenwood Philosophy, which focuses on holistic, child-led and outdoor learning, as well as teaching children about the importance of community and the environment. Under this philosophy, children are encouraged to explore the world around them, follow their natural curiosity and develop their social, emotional and physical wellbeing, all in a safe and purpose-built environment.

Each day is designed by a team of experienced and knowledgeable practitioners, offering a stimulating environment for children to explore their likes and dislikes and learn and play in a way that suits them. The staff are well trained in spotting the children play patterns, or schemas, to develop bespoke learning experiences for each unique child.

On top of the curriculum the children enjoy extra curricular activities throughout the week including; Music, dance, drama, sculpture and tennis.

Greenwood is paired with Pines Care Home where the children visit on a weekly basis for intergenerational sessions where the children join of group of care home residents for group activities.

Kids have had the best time here - from nurturing them at the beginning to letting them grow and flourish as they have got older. Such variety of activities, super staff who are so caring and never shy away from giving lots of cuddles when needed. Spend all their time outside weather permitting. My
kids run through the door and I’m so sad my eldest is leaving for school shortly.

We couldn’t be happier with our choice of nursery. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. They give daily updates and are quick to communicate with us. The nursery provides a fun and safe environment for the kiddies to explore, play and develop. There is such a great range of activities throughout
the week including termly offsite trips.
