Bright Horizons Wandsworth Common Day Nursery and Preschool offers a warm and welcoming environment for children aged between 6 months and 5 years old. The nursery manager along with other staff, have been nothing but reassuring to me and my husband. This was the first time we were sending our 11 month old to nursery so we were a bit anxious and had lots of questions. They answered all our questions pertaining to Covid measures, activities, foods as
well as tips on how we can implement certain good habits at home. The food given is well varied and there is a good balance of protein, vegetables and carbohydrates as well as fruit. The staff are always careful to ask about any allergies or anything they need to be aware of pertaining to the child's diet or allergies that they might have. One of the staff members is always very attentive as well and always gives us a good update on the activities of the day. Our son couldn't be happier, he is always excited to go to nursery in the morning. Thank you to everyone at the nursery - you've been great at helping put our mind at ease with sending our son to nursery .

This nursery have been absolutely fantastic for the last 18 months. Our twin girls have loved it and developed in all areas of communication, play and reading. To be honest, we had to get places at short notice for changes in our status and the uncertainty with a nursery, which was unplanned was considerable.
However, the manager and the rest of the team have exceeded all our hope and expectations. They have all done an amazing job. We're sorry to leave.

Our little girl has been here for 1 year from 9 months old, she settled within 1-2 weeks and loves it here at Wandsworth. The only reason for leaving is because we, as a family, are immigrating to New Zealand.
We, as parents, could not recommend Wandsworth nursery enough - very sad to take her out.

Bright horizons Wansworth Common Day Nursery has been the best decision we ever made for our daughter and I cannot recommend them enough. We were reluctant to put our daughter into the nursery but Bright Horizons Wandsworth has changed that forever. The staff are wonderful and ensure the children are
enjoying their activities whilst educating them in a tender and peaceful environment. The management is excellent and very approachable too. I think the whole family will cry when we have to leave due to relocation. Thank you so much team.

I liked the feedback I have received of the day my child has had. They have a varied range of activities that my child does. Employees are friendly and welcoming. I would recommend the nursery have light snacks eg biscuits tea/coffee for parents to have and take away.

My daughter is currently at nursery here and loves it, however, I’m considering moving her due to the way that the management have handled a health and safety incident. My daughter had a nasty head bump requiring a visit to the doctors. This was as a result of her falling off a rocker in the garden
and hitting her head against the concrete wall. We had a meeting with management team straightaway and they promised to remove the rocker from the garden and also place padding against the wall.
This was now almost three months ago and none of these promises have been met. My emails are now getting ignored from senior management so I’m at a loss of how to ensure that measures are taken to avoid another more serious accident.
If anybody from the nursery management team monitors these reviews then I would appreciate them replying. I’m very disappointed with how this has been handled despite having written a positive review a few months ago.

The manager is very helpful with my daughter starting nursery.
The nursery nurse has been there since my son attended and she is so nice and welcoming also.
She was my son's first key person and he loved seeing her. He moved up to toddlers where he had another key worker and he loved coming to the
nursery to see her.
I love they have a two week settling in period and your concerns are listened to and acted upon.

Bright Horizons Wandsworth is a very warm and welcoming place.
I leave my son there confident the staff encourage him and develop his interests.
Since my son has attended this nursery he has come on so well - his interest in the world around him grows by each day.
I particularly like the form they
give you at the end of each session - a review of the day.
I feel they give excellent care and attention to each child and I couldn't recommend it enough.

My son is looked after very well and I am very happy with the activities my son does every day. The only negative about the nursery is that the temperature is too hot. Even with a mobile air conditioning unit, my son has to attend with just a t-shirt on.

Since moving from toddlers room to preschool we feel that our child is less looked after both in terms of hygiene and learning. We are not sure if this is due to less communication from the staff or actually is less quality of the service.

My son has been at the nursery since he was 12 months old, and on the whole, his care has been good. He has a particularly good experience in the toddler room, with a really loving key care worker who ensured his social and educational progress.

Bright Horizons is a very good nursery, not only from a childcare point of view but also the early year education experience it provides for the children. Our daughter has been attending this nursery since 2014 and has come through all the age groups.
The teachers are all very committed and professional
and very friendly, providing a warm and welcoming environment. They are also very good at communicating with parents.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I joined Bright Horizons Family Solutions in 2010 and started my journey with the organisation as a Deputy Manager, I became a manager within Bright Horizons three years later and joined the Wandsworth Common Day Nursery and Preschool team in 2018.


I hold an NVQ level 3 in childcare and education and recently completed my leadership and management degree, I love the satisfaction of seeing children who we have nurtured and cared for go on to their next stage of education with confidence and ready to achieve their dreams.

With over 20 years of experience in early childhood education, Louise has dedicated her career to nurturing young minds and fostering a lifelong love of learning. She joined Bright Horizons three years ago and was appointed Deputy Manager in 2024.


Her journey in early years education has been shaped by a deep engagement with the Montessori method, bringing innovative, child-centred approaches into her practice. She is committed to ensuring that every child receives the best start in life and enjoys coming to nursery each and every day.


A passionate advocate for sustainability, her leadership was instrumental in the nursery achieving its first Eco Flag award last year, a proud milestone that reflects her and her team’s dedication to environmental education and care for the planet.
