Coin Street Nursery

Our personal experience of the whole Coin Street Community team is outstanding, from the kindness and care to which they welcomed us from the home visit before nursery, the feeling of our son being supported in a nurturing and stimulating environment filled with joy and rich experiences, and the focus on his wellbeing and understanding of being a member of a community which has a deep sense of mission and service to the local community has been a wonder to be able to take part in. Congratulations and thank you to everyone for everything you do for our son and all the Coin Street nursery children and families. We are full of admiration and gratitude towards you and know you're giving our son the best start in his educational journey, teaching him lifelong skills and helping bring out the best in him. We are so proud of him and you all.

I'm particularly grateful to Katerina and Nantshama for their care and support. Since starting nursery, my daughter has been developing new skills so well-it's been a joy to watch.

I would like to see more exotic fruits for snack time, if possible!

As they are community based, there are other services available for parents. Examples are classes for first words, potty training. In addition they have tie ups with the likes of a dance company which children are taken to regularly.

We would also like to highlight how fantastic our Key Person is. She has been absolutely wonderful with our daughter and with us as parents, always attentive, caring, and supportive. As first-time parents, we have found the advice, workshops, and training sessions organised by the nursery incredibly helpful. They have given us confidence and practical guidance, and we truly appreciate the effort the centre makes to support families as well as the children. It makes a real difference to feel so well accompanied.

The staff are incredibly lovely, welcoming and caring, and they offer such incredible opportunities for the children - dance classes, yoga, and regular trips around the local area (the Southbank, Tate Modern, Borough Market). They have great facilities including a really spacious outdoor area.

My child is thriving at Coin Street Nursery. Staff are supportive of his unique needs and educational journey, and our family as a whole. Every day, my child is provided with ample opportunities for play and learning, including in the generously sized garden space. The food is excellent. The nursery actively engages with local arts groups, and provides opportunities for yoga, dance, music and more. There are regular trips to local parks and special trips to local areas of interest, galleries and museums. I highly recommend Coin Street.

Coin Street Nursery is embedded in the local community and from day one, I felt like a part of the community which was especially important living in such a busy location.

Over the past four and a half years, we have had the experience of the whole nursery with our three sons, from Explorers baby room right up to graduating from Discoverers, and the quality of care has been outstanding. The staff are incredibly kind and go above and beyond to look after the children as if they were their own. We have built such strong relationships with the staff and truly feel like we are part of the Coin Street family. Our children have absolutely loved going to nursery every day and relished the wide range of activities they have on offer, including messy play, a dedicated sensory room and an outdoor area with climbing and sand and water play. We have been particularly impressed with all the outings the children have taken on! Right from the beginning they are taken out on local walks along the river, to parks, the local football pitch and to dance sessions at the local studio. We are so grateful to everyone at Coin Street for giving our boys the best start they could have!

My child thrived at Coin Street Nursery, was always happy to go there. Loved doing lots of messy play, lone play, group play and creating art with the resources provided. Coin Street enabled my child to learn more core skills and to communicate with other adults and peers alike.

Both of my children have graduated from Coin Street Nursery having joined from when they were just a year old. The nursery has been a home away from home for them. They have loved attending and created some amazing friendships along the way. The staff here are truly dedicated and have a strong understanding of how to run early years learning. Clear and consistent communication with parents is prioritised and they ensure there are many touch points throughout the year for aligning the parent/key worker team. Healthy eating is also something the nursery focuses on and the chef within the nursery is a proper part of the team and someone the children know well and learn a lot from. I couldn't be happier with what my children have achieved during their time here. My children are also both summer born and they have left fully prepared and ready for big school.

Our two sons attended Coin Street from about age 2, until the eldest went to school. We have been impressed throughout - every one of the staff is friendly and caring and our boys (and us) built really strong relationships with the keyworkers and room leads in particular. There is a wide variety of activities, lots of outdoor time, and real encouragement to be self-sufficient. The boys had music classes, dance classes, went on the London Eye, to Borough Market, the Tate, the London Transport Museum and more. Activities have a focus on what they are trying to achieve in terms of development goals, and parents are kept informed along the way with Open Days, newsletters, and messages and photos on the app. I could not recommend Coin Street more highly.

We know we've given our son the best start to his journey by starting at Coin Street.

The best nursery ever, five stars.

We have been so pleased with Coin Street Nursery. Our son adores his key person and indeed the whole staff, all of whom are highly professional caregivers for young children in addition to just generally being really lovely and kind. The investment in staff training and curriculum development, the time taken to develop healthy menus for the children’s meals, the individual focused attention each child receives - these are all things we have really appreciated about this nursery and which set it apart for us. We have had a really positive experience here and are confident that our son is safe, happy and learning new things when he is there.

We could not have been happier with our experience of Coin Street - our daughter attended from 9-23 months and we only changed because working from home meant it was no longer convenient to travel in. The staff were always extremely helpful and welcoming, and our daughter formed a real bond with at least two of the carers that looked after her. The nursery has a large space and is well organised, and they do many activities including outside walks etc. Couldn't recommend more highly and we were very sad to leave.

I was immediately enamored by Coin Street. The atmosphere was vibrant, the children looked relaxed and seemed happy. The staff seemed really invested in the children's happiness and wellbeing and was especially happy to hear about the extracurricular activities. My son's time there was lovely and he formed a good relationship with teachers and children too! Always felt he was safe and in good care.
