The Old Station Nursery Tressillian Road

My son has developed his language and social skills significantly in pre-school. The renovated environment is ideal for learning and play. He is excited to show me the activities set up each morning. He's made great connections and is having fun which is lovely to see.

The nursery is well run, clean and safe. Staff form a strong connection with children and plan interactive and engaging activities.

Our daughter has moved through baby rooms and is now in toddlers and loves the nursery. The staff have been wonderfully caring and have been really invested in her development. She has needed additional help with her gross motor development and the staff have been great at supporting this with a good mix of direction and encouragement - including working with her physio at nursery - she has progressed a lot. She also loves the activities including music, painting and cooking and talks about her friends at nursery all the time!

I have always left feeling secure in the knowledge my baby is being looked after by knowledgeable and caring staff.

Our little baby girl is very happy at The Old Station Nursery. The staff are warm, kind and caring. We feel very confident leaving her in their care each day. The management are knowledgeable, efficient and organised. They will happily make adaptations and individual arrangements as required. Communication is good. She has activities everyday, which she likes. She especially enjoys the music session led by a specialist on Thursday morning. She has learnt so much already, including social and motor skills. The food is good quality and plentiful. We would highly recommend The Old Station Nursery.

Our son has been attending The Old Station Nursery Tressillian Road since September, when he turned 1. So far we have had a positive experience at the nursery, we found the staff to be accommodating and dedicated to the job. We are given regular updates through the day on his meals, naps, nappy changes and it's really to communicate both with staff and with the management. The baby room our son is in has also recently been refurbished which is nice to see. Of course the settling period was somewhat hard for our son but the staff had a good plan and made lots of efforts to make it easier for him. He now seems to love nursery and pick ups and drop offs are stress free.

My son has been at the nursery for over a year now, moving through the baby rooms up to the toddler room. I have consistently been impressed by the incredibly high level of care and diligence from all the staff, and in particular, the manager who runs the nursery. There is always such great energy in the mornings and they are constantly coming up with new creative ways to entertain the children. The nursery has also just been renovated so it's a beautiful and clean space for children to play.

Lovely nursery with very kind and caring staff. Kids are engaged in great activities and my 2-year-old daughter looks forward to going every day. Nice outside space for the kids to play, good healthy food and a good focus on age-appropriate learning.

We have been (and continue to) using the nursery since 2021 and have moved through the baby rooms and all the way up to pre-school. Both our children have been very settled and happy attending Old Station Nursery, busy with lots of activities including Spanish, cooking and yoga, and weekly trips to the park and library. The staff are attentive and interested and work with you on potty training etc.
