This nursery school is absolutely amazing! I was terrified of leaving my 14-month-old daughter the first week! She is now 18 months. I sat outside and cried as was so worried! Within a week to two, my daughter was kicking her legs with excitement as we reached the nursery school door every day.
She
has breakfast and lunch there and the staff are super kind and caring. My daughter is so happy and the management go above and beyond expectations really. It’s my first child and the staff have given me wonderful advice on training with my daughter from stopping breastfeeding to sleeping in her own bed and good ways to teach her learning opportunities. I would be lost without their support and care.

Our eldest went to Little Garden and we were so impressed by the care and environment that we decided to send our youngest there too. We have been just as delighted the second time around and so comforted by seeing some of the old faces still there. The manager is a delight and incredibly efficient.

Our daughter started in the baby room a few months ago and we couldn’t be happier. Every member of the staff is incredibly kind, caring, and fun - she clearly loves them all and comes home with a huge smile every day! In these special times, everyone is doing an amazing job at creating a normal space
for our babies to enjoy and are nurturing a sense of community with warm and friendly memos and communications as well as nice events for the children. Finally, the food cooked at the nursery is great and very diverse. Getting your baby started at nursery is never easy and is an emotional step so I am glad to have chosen this lovely place.

Kentish Town is an excellent nursery and preschool. Our daughter has been there since the age of 1.5 and has always been smiling and happy to go there every day. The children's security and wellbeing and development is taken very seriously by a loving and dedicated staff. The food is also excellent
which was important for us. Despite our daughter's mother tongue is French (we only speak French at home) she is learning English at nursery and has a very good level. She made a lot of friends and can't wait for the "graduation party". The preschool organised every year for those who go to reception. For sure we will miss this incredible nursery and preschool (and the team!) when she will go to school next year.

I have 2 children currently at the nursery and am very happy with the care they are receiving. They are genuinely happy to be at nursery and have made such great progress. The staff are great and really take care of the children. I have also been very impressed with the way they have handled everything
since nursery has reopened after lockdown, in particular making sure that the children feel happy, safe and “normal”!

I could not have found a better nursery for my twins. My twins come home having had a full day of activities and learning as well as delicious nutritious food.

Our two daughters attended Little Gardens from Feb 2019 - May 2020. Our first six months there were excellent; well above expectations. The staff working with the kids were outstanding. Our kids loved going to nursery, they learned a lot, and we felt confident that they were in good hands.
The nursery
was acquired by a private equity investor in Jul 2019 and a new leadership team was put in place. During the nine months that followed, the service quality notably deteriorated, transparency and communication disappeared, and the rate of staff turnover increased to an alarming level (such that we had serious concerns regarding how staff were treated). The overall feel of the nursery shifted from a loving community to a cold factory.
Our efforts (along with 30 other families at the nursery) to engage upper management in real dialogue were not successful. We ultimately left because we felt we could not trust management and we were concerned about the changing culture and feel of the nursery.

Kentish Town day nursery and pre-school has been a brilliant experience for our child just as it was for his older brother.
Here are some reasons why we think this nursery is fantastic (not exhaustive!):
- the staff is WONDERFUL: careful, patient, warm, professional, they guide children safely on
the path to autonomy.
- the food is delicious, fresh and healthy meals are cooked daily.
- the children learn new abilities and open their minds to the world through various lessons, activities, experiments and regular outside trips.
- there are parties on special occasions (Christmas, Diwali, Chinese New Year...) and even a graduation party for children leaving the nursery for school. They never miss any birthday.
- we have regular feedback and meetings with our child's key worker.
- our son is hugely happy there, he has got friends and loves the staff.
We have mixed feelings as our child is going to school this September, he is really well-prepared for it but we will miss everyone at the nursery.

We cannot speak highly enough of our key person at LG Kentish Town. She is caring, nurturing and so clearly focused on the happiness and development of our little guy. Importantly she is also a great communicator and gives us a clear, thoughtful report on how each day has gone and anything we should

Kentish Town Day Nursery and Pre School was a brilliant experience for our daughter. Over the last 3.5 years, the staff have helped her learn, develop and grow. They were always hugely helpful and had her genuine interests at heart. When she was old enough, our daughter would often tell us about all
of the trips and activities that she had done during the day – from going to the park and the local library to the local farm or even the shops. The nursery became a really important part of her world – she made some great friends with her classmates - and teachers. In the last few months, parts of the nursery were refurbished inside and out and so it really is a great space. Overall, I very much recommend Kentish Town Day Nursery & Pre-school – it has helped prepare our daughter for school and the adventures and experiences that lay ahead!

Kentish Town Day Nursery has been fantastic for my toddler. We are sorry to have to move away from it as he enjoys it a lot. He has been there for a little more than a year and I have seen how it has positively affected his learning and social skills. His classmates, as well as many of the staff, especially
one member whom I have seen in action and feel, is a great asset to the nursery, have become part of the stories that he tells. I have no hesitations in recommending this nursery to any new parent. (I put excellent in all the categories except value for money - this is because I feel it is a bit expensive and not because they provide anything less than expected, but I am aware that this is the standard rate in the area)!

Our son has stayed at the Kentish Town Day Nursery and Pre-School for more than 2 years and we have been extremely happy with it. The staff at all levels is very professional and friendly. They create a very nice environment for the children and monitor their progress. They run a few events along the
year, the final one being the graduation which is fantastic. The nursery itself is very nice, especially after the refurbishment and the works done to the external space. We have been extremely pleased and happy with the nursery and would highly recommend it.

I would like to leave this great review for my daughter's key person in the Baby Room.
She has been my daughter's key person since she started at nursery when she was only 8 months old. I felt nervous and anxious about leaving her with somebody else after spending all day with me for months, but Patricia
was able to reassure me. My daughter settled in quickly and with no issues and her key person has been for her a great point of reference since then. She is caring and loving, but also able to be authoritative when needed. One of my daughter's first words has been part of her name and she often looks out for her when she arrives at nursery and when she leaves. It feels sad that my daughter will be moving to the Toddler Room next week and will not be able to spend every day with her key person anymore.

I would highly recommend this nursery as I had an amazing experience there!
My daughter had a hard time to settle but my daughter's nursery practitioner had been truly amazing with her - indeed, she went beyond what could be expected, and was always so warmful, reassuring, patient and playful.

Our little girl started at the Kentish Town Day Nursery when she was 4 months old. We were anxious about how she would settle in as she had an unsettled first few months with neonatal reflux and lip and tongue ties. We needn't have worried. The nursery put together a careful settling-in plan for
the first fortnight which involved attendance with a parent and then without and gradually increasing hours. Our little girl was also given a key person with primary responsibility for her care, which foods she has tried, her medication and her general state of health, wellbeing and development. She now beams at her key person on drop off, seems to eat and sleep well and is returned to us freshly changed, with detailed feedback on her eating, drinking, sleeping and nappies and ready for bath, story and bedtime when sleeps the sleep of a little girl that has had a happy and fulfilling day. We are delighted to have found such wonderful care for her in her first few months.

I am a qualified teacher and hold a BA Hons Degree with a Qualified Teacher Status, but have always specialised in Early Years. I ran my previous nursery for 20 years and have been at Little Gardens since March 2020. The nursery is a very bright, busy and happy place with staff that have been here for many years. The atmosphere and staff team are second to none and our ethos will always be that our number one priority is to meet the individual needs of each and every child and keep them safe, stimulated and to provide the tools to nurture them to develop and thrive.

Hi, my name is Magdalena but people call me Magda. I am from Poland and I have been living in London since 2016. I always knew I wanted to work with children that’s why I chose Pedagogy at University. I completed my bachelor degree in Pre-school and Elementary Teaching and Masters in School Pedagogy. I gained my experience in different settings, I have worked in schools, nurseries and a psychological and pedagogical counselling centre in Poland. I love travelling and I managed to combine my two passions working for Thomas Cook Travel Agency. I lead a Kids Clubs in Croatia, Bulgaria, Rhodes and Mallorca working with children from all over the world. I came to London 4 years ago for an Au-Pair programme and I fell in love with the city. After finishing one year as a live in nanny, I got a pre-school room leader position in one of the nurseries in northwest London where I met Lisa, Kentish Town Nursery Manager. We shared the same passion for teaching and I can’t imagine working for anybody else. When Lisa said she was coming to work for Little Garden Day Nurseries, I knew I wanted to work with her. I have been working at Kentish Town Day Nursery for 9 months and I absolutely love the atmosphere, the team and the children. Their smiles, laugh, hugs and visible progress motivate me to do my best and to make sure that we as a team we provide a nurturing, caring and inspiring environment.

Hi, my name is Dominique, I’m Deputy Manager at The Kentish Town Day Nursery and Pre-school after being promoted from third in Charge.


I started as a part-time nursery nurse and have worked my way up. I champion safeguarding, policies and procedures and will support anywhere I am needed with complete confidence. I’m excited about what I can bring to the role as a Deputy Manager and all its challenges.
