LEYF - Leys Nursery & Pre-School

It is always hard returning back to work and having to leave your child but Leys Nursery at Dagenham makes it easier, they are kind, caring and supportive to you and your child.

I would recommend Leys Nursery. They are great.

My son has be attending the nursery for three months now and he has developed a lot. The staff are very nice and caring. They listen and take their time to understand the child and their needs.

I have trusted this nursery with both my children from when they were both under 1 year old. I have always found them to be professional, caring and conscientious in their looking after/education of my children from 8 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday. My children both love and loved attending and have thrived under their care. My children get lots of love and engaging activities. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Ultimately they are as caring at the end of the day as at the beginning.

Fantastic engagement from staff to children and to parents. Thorough run-down of the day every day at pick-up. My child was very shy and cried when left on the first day. By day 5, was walking in on his own and asking to not leave! At parents evening we are given a progress book that is explained as easy to follow but there are no surprises because of the level of engagement every day. Staff will and have gone out of their way to help. I desperately wanted my children to go here. My gut was right and I have never regretted the decision. Highly recommend and recommended to friends. The best nursery in the town. Staff is very caring and highly professional. Overall, I am a very satisfied parent with the services provided by Leys Children's Centre Nursery. My child loves coming to nursery and even asks to visit on weekend. Nursery management is of a great standard. Thank you all members of staff for their hard work and dedication.

My daughter is always eager to go to nursery, even on weekends. She can't wait to go back on Monday. Overall, it's a great place and should keep up the good job.

I find this nursery very good. Staff do take special care, attention to the children. My daughter does not like going to nursery as she is too close to me and when she arrives staff do take her and give attention by speaking to her, giving her a cuddle. Things like this do make a difference. When I leave nursery I feel I can trust the staff and I know my daughter is safe and well.

The staff are always there to help, the only problem I have personally is the Manager, who will not attend to your concerns.

The nursery is one of the best within this community because of the standard academically, support, facilities etc to mention very few among my review. I would see this because the few weeks that my son joined, there was a great change in my son's communication skills. I can recommend this nursery to any parent that their children is having speech and language challenges.

My son has only recently joined Leys but I believe he is doing so well already. The staff, especially his lead, are very attentive and warm. The children are well looked after and have a range of activities and games to play. They get a lot of fresh air with time spent in the garden and a nice structured day with meal times, naps and songs.

This is an outstanding nursery. Our son started going to Leys Children's Centre Nursery in Dagenham about 2 years ago and we are extremely happy! Staff is very kind at all times and very well trained to help with children’s development! The environment is very child-friendly with wonderful facilities including outdoors. It’s kept very clean at all times. There are lots of activities for the children to undertake and boost their confidence and encourage their active participation. The served food is fresh and healthy. Our son loves going to nursery!! Definitely recommended!!

My child has been attending the nursery since he was 10 months old and is now 2 and a half. In that, I have been completely happy with the care and education he had received. Currently, I feel he is advanced beyond his years and that is mainly due to the learning he has access to at the nursery. Staff are very friendly and supportive. I have recommended the nursery a few times before and will continue to recommend it in future. I wouldn’t have my son go anywhere else and his little sister will be joining the nursery soon.

Staff are always welcoming, polite, friendly and seem to genuinely care for the children. The children also generally seem at ease with the staff and there is always a calm and relaxed atmosphere felt. The children all seem to get along and I haven't once seen any kind of worrying conflicts between them. I have two of my sons attending in different classes but they are allowed to see and mingle with one another which brings me much comfort. Moreover, my oldest has been to 3 nurseries prior to this one and I'm kicking myself that I didn't remain on the waiting list that little bit longer to get him in from day one. He has come on leaps and bounds and both seem very confident in vocalizing their needs and emotions. I will most definitely be applying for a place for my youngest as well when the time is right. Thank you to all the staff for all they do for our children.

My twincesses have been here for two years, I am a single parent and I have very strong separation anxiety. My girls don’t spend time away from me only very short periods with their dad or my elder 24-year-old daughter. I am happy and safe in the knowledge that the girls are being really well cared for and looked after while they are at nursery.

I am so pleased with Leys nursery. I was very nervous about leaving my son to go back to work, but he settled in immediately as it is such a warm and friendly place. It ended up being a very positive experience for us and I have no regrets about choosing Leys.

My son is always happy when I pick him up. It’s clear to me that he loves going to nursery and feels safe there. He has bonded really well with the team - I can tell that they care about him and have got to know him so well. It has been very obvious to us how his time at Leys has helped his development and confidence.

I really enjoy collecting my son and hearing about all the different fun activities he has been doing both inside and out in the garden. The variety of food on offer is also impressive and has helped our son become a great eater who will try most things.

Overall it’s a fantastic nursery with an amazing team of caring staff who work very hard to make sure the children have fun while learning new skills.

My little one is always well fed (luckily as she eats everything in sight!) and the meals are of a very good quality.

The team in my son's room have been fantastic. He comes home from nursery telling us about his day and what fun he has been having with his friends. The nursery team are always very friendly and approachable, I know my son is well looked after during his time there and it gives me peace of mind when I am having to go to work.
