The Riverside Day Nursery Windsor

The Riverside Day Nursery is a fantastic nursery. My little boy loves coming here, he enjoys playing with all his friends and has a really close bond with all the staff in the nursery. Thank you for all your hard work and caring nature towards my son.

We couldn't rate Riverside Day Nursery any higher. I was petrified of leaving my daughter with strangers but the staff have been incredible every step of the way. We have complete confidence in them and know that our daughter loves coming to nursery. Our key worker deserves a special mention, she's brilliant. And the cherry on the top is the event planning for parents, the mothers day tea was very special.

Our daughter has attended The Riverside for over a year now. After looking at a few nurseries locally, I chose The Riverside. My tour of the nursery was down to earth, open, knowledgable and informative and the children all seemed really happy, engaged and calm. In terms of facilities, The Riverside has acres of light and space compared to other local nurseries and a great outdoors play area by the river. My daughter learns so much and I get lots of feedback by the staff, who really seem to know and care for my daughter. There is a real kindness from the staff at this nursery, highlighted to my daughter and myself recently as we help my daughter adjust to a new baby brother. He will also be attending The Riverside for sure and I would recommend it without hesitation.

My son has been going to Riverside since June 2017. I liked the nursery from the start and the caring attitude of all the girls. I have seen some great improvements since two new staff have joined their management roles. My son can be more on the sensitive side sometimes but all the girls are great with him, especially in the mornings when he doesn't want to let go! I also love that he can do swimming whilst at nursery. It's hard to fit things in when you're a full time working parent, so it's one less thing to worry about. My son often comes home and starts telling me about stuff that he has learnt at nursery. For example, the days of the week, months of the year and the role the emergency services play. He has learnt these directly from being at nursery. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Childcare is expensive and there is no getting around that but at least if you feel happy with where your child is going, it at least softens the blow!

I have been very happy with this nursery so far. The staff are so friendly and really make an effort to get to know your child. I always get given a detailed update about my son’s day and sometimes am surprised that they know my son so well! Since joining here, my son’s vocabulary has increased so much and he has learnt so many songs. They also have Spanish lessons which my son really enjoys. Being located in the leisure centre means they have access to great facilities, including the outdoor area where the children spend time regularly and indoor courts where there was once a bouncy castle put up for the children to enjoy. I love the enthusiasm of the staff and am really pleased my son enjoys his time here and I can be assured he is safe and happy.

My daughter and I have always been made to feel very welcome here.

My son is currently here at nursery he is absolutely loving it always comes home messy and so happy when I collect, I am so happy with the nursery and especially the care he is receiving. I have no worry when I leave him which is a relief for me, I couldn't be happier in a nursery they are always doing activities and keeping them busy outdoors.

My grandson started this Nursery in January 2018 after his 1st birthday. He attends 4 mornings a week and it has been great seeing him develop into a lovely friendly boy. He looks forward to these mornings so much with his bag and is happy to say 'bye Mummy'. He has settled into the routine. The staff have given positive feedback at all times. He enjoys all the activities he takes part in. His vocabulary is amazing for his age and independence too, so a very big thank you for making our family life so easy each day.

Our son has been attending Riverside for a year now, three mornings a week and absolutely loves it. He couldn't be more excited on the mornings he goes and is quite reluctant to leave when he's collected. He has a very close relationship with his key worker and we feel she genuinely cares about our son's development and general happiness.

Riverside staff always provide feedback regarding the children's play time, food they've eaten and activities they've undertaken each day. Well organised parent's evenings are also a great opportunity to have one to one time with key workers and go through your children's folders.

On the whole, Riverside is a friendly and reliable nursery where the children are always the main priority.

My son has been at the nursery since he was 2 years old, and I have been delighted with the nursery. The staff are amazing, the children are always so happy and they do some great activities every day.

His key worker has pretty much been with him since he started the nursery and for me, that has been great. They have a very special bond which is lovely to see and really know him very well.

All of the staff are lovely and the nursery manager is fabulous! I will be sad to leave the nursery when my son goes to school in September.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Riverside nursery to anyone. It is a lovely nursery for your child and they will definitely thrive during their time there.

I would definitely recommend Riverside. My son has so much fun. He has progressed so much in his time with this nursery. The staff are so supportive. I couldn’t ask for a more flexible and engaging carer for my son.

My daughter has been at this nursery since she was 12 months old, she is now 4 years old. She has moved through all rooms and absolutely loves it. The staff are wonderful, they are very nurturing, giving the children a loving, safe environment that you want for them when you aren’t around. They go above and beyond. The children learn through a mixture of free play and guided activities and my daughter's development has been great throughout also her confidence is amazing. Staff turnover is very infrequent I have been lucky enough she has had the same carers from baby room through to pre school. I would definitely recommend this nursery.

The Riverside Day Nursery is a lovely environment for my son and his friends. They have lots of extra curricular such as swimming, music, ball games and dance, a lot of which, are at no extra cost.

The children learn through play, social interaction and set activities throughout the day. My son is learning to write and has started to sound out his phonics. It’s also a great environment to master daily tasks such as washing hands before eating, putting coats on and using the bathroom appropriately.

Lastly, the staff are amazing. We have been in baby, toddler and preschool room and all staff have been supportive with great communication and an actual interest in my child’s development.

Riverside nursery staff have been fantastic with my son. He has developed in all areas, especially his speech, and has recently begun to walk which I believe has helped by going to this nursery.

Everyone there is very welcoming when we come to pick up/drop off. It’s a very friendly environment and the staff are always accommodating towards us.

I am very content with the activities my son does when he attends nursery and he seems to love it.

My daughter started this nursery in September 2018, I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. Not only did they make myself and my wife reassured the whole settle process was fantastic. My daughter is very settled and it's only been 2 months. The activities and outdoor space are great, I love the fact that they go for walks into Windsor and feed the ducks. The staff and management team are friendly, caring and thoughtful to name a few.

I would highly recommend Windsor Riverside Day Nursery. My daughters have been at Riverside Day Nursery since they were 10 months old and have had really positive experiences in the baby and toddler rooms. They have been well looked after by attentive staff and both very much enjoy their time there. My eldest daughter has grown in confidence and she appears very comfortable in the setting. She's created a strong bond with her peers. The facilities are good with lots of indoor space to use in the Leisure Centre. There is a nice garden round the back as well as a secure football court they can burn energy in with activities. The place is kept nice and clean and there's lots to engage the children. The staff are supportive and informed - they are happy to take time to chat about my daughter's development.
