We've been delighted with our experience at Rowlands Castle Preschool. The forest school program is a wonderful feature, giving children the chance to connect with nature, explore freely, learn through discovery, take safe risks, and channel their boundless energy. The staff are consistently warm, caring, and attentive, making every effort to introduce fresh activities each day while keeping parents well-informed with regular updates about their child's progress and development. We also love the way different age groups mix together-it's both charming and developmentally valuable, and we've seen our son flourish in this environment

Our son started at the preschool this summer after taking a break from his previous nursery, where he had struggled to settle. His key person and the whole team went above and beyond to support him through the transition, finding thoughtful ways to help him feel comfortable and secure.

After some initial tearful drop-offs (which he's always found difficult), he now settles in much more easily and genuinely enjoys his days there. He's made friends, built lovely relationships with all the teachers, and is thriving in the smaller, nurturing environment - which really suits him.

We love the variety of activities the team plans each day, especially the time spent outdoors in the garden and woodland, which our son absolutely loves. It's clear that the staff truly care for each child's individual needs, and that personal attention means so much to us. We're very happy with how things are going and hope this great care continues as he grows.

My daughter has been attending this pre school since January 2025 and I'm so pleased with it. We moved from another nursery due to RC location as means I can walk to it and I'm so pleased we did. The staff are wonderful and are so kind and Notbing is too much trouble. I feel like my daughter is in really safe hands there. I love that they use the forest regularly and have lots of play outside. Really recommend it!

Lovely to see my nephew enjoying the world around him and building independence and confidence. Such a great start for him. He is so well looked after and has great relationships with the staff, he loves going.

Our son absolutely loves the nursery and the staff. It's a small nursery and the children of all ages are in the same room which is really good for his development and learning from the older children. We get regular updates and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The only room for improvement I would suggest is a bit less processed food.

A pleasant environment with a warm and friendly atmosphere . The staff are caring and knowledgable . It is a happy place for all of the children. Plenty of fun things to do, all within a learning environment. Definitely a family feel.

Watership Down is a fantastic local nursery. I can only speak positively about the staff and management. Everyone is in one room and this helps the child mix and learn. It's not a large chain nursery and the staff really are passionate about helping children learn and develop. Our eldest daughter developed so much whilst at Watership Down, and our youngest currently attends and is enjoying every minute of it.

I have three children and over the past decade have used several childcare and nursery settings, and this is by far the best one we've used. It is an extremely welcoming, friendly setting with a real family feel to it. I really love the mixed age group, as it teaches the older children patience and inclusivity, and gives the younger children the ability to learn from the older.

The staff are the real asset, their turnover is really low (unlike so many other settings we've used) and my child adores them all.

I honestly have nothing bad to say about Watership Down and will be really sad when it's time to leave and move on!

My daughter has been at Rowlands Castle Preschool since September 2024 and thoroughly enjoys her time there. We were anxious about her settling in as she had previously been with a childminder but we needn't of worried as the staff made the transition so easy for all of us! They are welcoming, friendly, approachable and really get to know your child personally. My little girl is always so happy when it is a preschool day and I cannot recommend them enough!

An absolute fantastic nursery with amazing staff. My two boys moved to this nursery from another and have both come on leaps and bounds. My eldest child is now talking who was previously none verbal. They do so many activities with them everyday. The staff are so warm and welcoming. I cannot rate this nursery high enough.

I don't usually feel compelled to write reviews but I honestly feel like I should shout from the rooftops about this setting. My daughter has been there since April and she loves it. The staff are brilliant and my daughter is so enthusiastic when I collect her and she tells me about her day that I can tell she's nurtured and cared for. The food provided is great, the woodland walks and daily activities they do are fantastic (as are the daily photos and updates!) I honestly can't say enough good things about this nursery. Yes, it's probably on the more expensive side of the market but blimey, you definitely get your money's worth!

Amazing preschool. Our little boy is so happy there and we are just about to enrol our little girl. Low numbers and personal touch. The team are super friendly and engaging with the children. Would highly recommend it!

Our little girl started at Rowlands Castle Preschool in September 2024 and we have been nothing but impressed with them. She runs into the building in the mornings with the biggest smile on her face and comes home recounting stories of the vast array of activities she has done that day - from painting, playing in the sand, reading stories and forest school. The nursery staff are extremely warm and welcoming and have shown a genuine interest in our daughter's well-being and development. They provide regular updates and photos throughout the day and communicate really effectively. We cannot recommend them enough.

The staff are wonderful and are fab with the children. My son has been into the forest most mornings he has been there which he (and I!) love! The other day someone came in to do some activities about taking care of your teeth which my son also loved and was educational too. My son also loves just playing there in the great set-up they have. I would highly recommend it.
