Both of my babies go to Mead Open Farm Day nursery, my boy has been going for a year and a half and loves it. Gets to visit to farm animals every-time he is in, gets nice food and does lots of different activities. Easy to communicate with and get good amount of updates throughout the day.

Both of my children attended Mead Open Farm Day Nursery, and both had such a fun time. We visited other local nurseries but nothing beats the farm location and soft play at Mead, where they get to explore and learn. I would recommend the nursery to all parents who want their children to have a lot of variety throughout the day at the nursery. There's something for everyone, our favourite was the fact that they visit the animals and learn all about them daily.

My son has enjoyed his time since starting at mead open farm nursery, he took a little while to settle into a new environment but the team made it so welcoming friendly exciting for him that he quickly held his arms out every time he was dropped off. We would highly recommend mead to anyone looking for an outdoorsy fun friendly and educational nursery.

We couldn't be happier with this nursery. From the very beginning, the staff have been so warm, caring, and attentive, and it's made such a difference to our little boy's confidence and development. At just 2 years old, he absolutely loves going and comes home smiling, chatting about all the fun activities, and clearly feeling safe and happy.

The team genuinely care about every child and create such a nurturing, stimulating environment. We've noticed huge improvements in his social skills, communication, and independence since moving up to the toddler room. The updates and communication with parents are fantastic too - it's so reassuring knowing he's in such capable and loving hands.

The nursery is always clean, welcoming, and full of engaging activities that encourage learning through play. It's clear how much effort and passion the staff put into making every child feel valued and supported.

We're incredibly grateful to have found such a wonderful nursery. Highly recommend

I am truly very pleased with this nursery. I love the fact to they have so many options in and around the nursery. The staff is so lovely and always attend with a smile. They visit the farm at least once a day, even not twice. My son loves the animals and all the outdoor play areas. I wish my other kids had gone here as well. The only thing that I actually was not happy about was the price increase that happened since he started there till now. He started going here since he was one and is now 4 and will start reception this September. Over the period of these 3 years he's been here, there has been a price increase of £21/day. Which I actually found quite much over that time span. Also, when my son started potty training, they were really helpful, however we then suddenly had to start bringing our own pull ups to the nursery, whilst normal nappies were included. Something they can think about for the future to include for parents.overal very happy

My child has been at the nursery for a year now and we are so pleased with the care he has been given. The staff are amazing, they are all so friendly and attentive. The children do so many activities, they go to the farm every day, use the soft play and have plenty of outdoor play. My child loves it so much that we sometimes take him at the weekend! The food menu is so varied and we instantly saw a huge positive improvement to my child's eating habits. The daily updates on food/naps/nappy changes have significantly improved since they began using a new app, if anything hasn't been updated in the app then we are always informed of the details at pick-up.

Staff are exceptionally friendly and caring and highly responsive to act upon things in order to achieve improvement. This nursery is always gathering parental views to enhance their provision for all. They truly care about your child. We have worked closely with the SENDCO to tailor our daughters provision to meet her individual needs. Their safeguarding procedures are robust and children are safe and happy. The blend of indoor and outdoor learning has been perfect for our daughter and the nursery has to much extra to offer children due to being on a farm setting.

Great nursery and wonderful staff! My child started at this nursery almost 12 months ago and has made significant progress. My child has made friends and become far more confident and verbal. The nursery has certainly played their part in her overall developmental progress!

Mead Open Farm has been a great choice for our baby. He joined when he was just 10 months old and over the course of a few months he has attended more sessions per week. The admin team have been very accommodating. The baby room staff have been very attentive with his development and comfort and we've seen him move more, talk more and really grow into his personality. You can tell they really care for the babies. They've taken great care with his allergy and changing sleep needs.

I think they go out to the farm each day but this usually falls over his nap time. However, when he's older I think he'll love this. The only area I'd improve is communication via the app. Some weeks we don't get any photos or details of what he's done throughout the day. The record of his sleep, meals and nappies is quite hit and miss. Talking to other friends, I think other nurseries keep much more detailed records.

All the staff we've met are so nice and friendly, they always stop and talk if they have time, if not always a hello or goodbye. 2025 has been full of events for kids and parents to join, which has been lovely and well communicated on app and nursery. The staff management and key workers listen to all needs. They have a good variety of foods for lunch and dinner. I just wonder if Mead could do with more space for the kids to be in, in and at door? Value for money.. it seemed fair but new increase seems a little much, but we love the nursery, many staff I'd love to mention due to being very happy with.

All I can say is thank you to Mead open farm for the care of my son. He has come on leaps and bounds since being at Mead, he may of only started in February 2025 but mini farmers (preschool) have gone above and beyond for him and me and my partner are so grateful. He and his key worker had a wonderful bond and it shows as he was always coming home talking about her. In addition to this they provided extra support for him as he struggled through transition times. He is off to school in a weeks time but he will never forget his time at mead that's for sure. So thank you again Mead!

All food is provided aswell; mine are quite fussy eaters but liked everything that was provided which was a well balanced variety. We use the holiday camp each year as feel it is great value for money and something they really enjoy!

My child experience for his first week at Open Mead. The staff are wonderful, providing extra support to each child's needs (SEND) and the environment is nurturing. My son loved the variety of activities which kept the my child engaged and stimulated throughout his time. My son said the food was delicious - which is a plus! Amazing communication from the staff on a daily basis, and I felt incredibly lucky to found a place that welcomed all children's backgrounds. I feel confident that my son is safe, and looked after and gives me a great peace of mind while I'm working. Highly recommend. Thank you to the manager and her team . I appreciate all that you have done, to make my son's time special.

Lovely staff! That's what makes it so special (Nicola) fantastic activities. Lots to do, never bored. Only thing mine don't like is the food, more nursery food (vegan curry's) kids just like pack lunches for day camps. That's what makes it more fun! Apart from that, great all round.

My son absolutely loves the activity day camps. Every half term he is excited to visit the farm for an action-packed week, full of amazing activities. That being the soft play, or the playground and interacting with the animals.

My daughter has attended Mead Open Farm Day Nursery since September 2021. We couldn’t ask for a more loving, nurturing environment for her and we can really see how much she learns while at nursery. All the staff are friendly, approachable and knowledgeable about the children and they build great relationships with parents too. They value outdoor play and the daily trips to the farm are fantastic. We can’t fault them and now we’re looking forward to our youngest daughter starting this September too!

Really happy with this nursery and the ladies that take care of my 3-year-old daughter. The environment is safe and fun with a great variety of activities. The nursery also does a lot of outside activities with them such as taking them to the farm. The ladies are all lovely and also support us on anything that we are trying to improve at home in the nursery which is so important. For example, learning to express feelings. Thank you everyone for taking such good care of my daughter.

Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their key children, my son absolutely loves the staff and the nursery. I can already notice the difference in his learning new skills! There are lots of things for the kids to do, and lots of different areas of interest! Thank you all!
